Service was spot on and the selection was excellent. Plants and trees were about the same price as Lowe's but so much healthier!

I stopped here on a trip down from New York for the holiday. Every plant was thriving and the staff was super helpful. Any question I had was answered. I had initially intended on doing a nursery tour with my mom, but after we stopped here and stocked up on some new plants we felt that we were done and didn't need to look further. read more

I have never in all my years met an owner as rude and obnoxious as the owner of Color Country Nurseries. We have lived near here for nearly 20 years and have bought from him previously, but never again will he get one red cent of my cash. He is done as far as I am concerned, I'll be taking my business back to Ansons on Homosassa Trail. A one-star review is one too many. read more

This place is the best! Jim helped us pick out our new guava trees. He was knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. The owner was there and taught my husband how to care for the trees. We had initially gone to Lowe's, but they didn't seem to know much about horticulture. So glad we came to Color Country! They know their stuff and make shopping fun:) read more

Color Country was my 5 START place for over 10 years.. Price, plants flowers and especially the warm and nice people who were there to guide us along...this colorful place. . Before the virus i went there and met the most arrogant nasty woman. I did ask her if she was new she said no...I was already there and no other person around so i kept my mouth close and bought just few little plants. She was mature with a nasty unpleasant look that made me never go back there........ I read another negative review about the guy with the long hair...... I deal with him before he was nice and decent. Sorry I will never go back there. If they are overworked hire more people you are not the only nursery here and cordiality is a must when doing business....... you lost it. read more

I bought 3 types of sedum from here. Two types did well , but the third type died soon after purchase. The nursery was closed for vacation for at least three weeks . I brought in a few remnants expecting a refund or at least a discount on another plant. The worker there , perhaps the owner, said no refund or discount on another purchase. He actually told me I should have brought it back when it was dying . Rather hard to do when the place was closed for over 3 weeks. LOUSY customer service, rather rude when he strolled away . New in the area, just driving by so had to stop in. OMG, dangerous place, good selection, good prices, a plant addict's dream!

We have purchased several bushes and 2 trees from this nursery. The trees lived; however, the 3 roses bushes and 1 of the 2 dwarf bottlebrush bushes did not survive. I was told by the sales person to water them every day and fertilize them with this special fertilizer that I also bought from him and I followed his instructions and they are not thriving at all....no new growth just dried up and yellow leaves/branches. Getting ready to pull them out and buy some at Walmart where my next door neighbor purchased his. He planted his bushes at the same time that I did about a month ago and has roses galore and only paid $10 per rose bush and I paid $25 per rose bush.....what a waste of my money and time. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS NURSERY AS THEY DO NOT GUARANTEE THEIR PRODUCTS. read more

What a wonderful place. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful with all my gardening questions. The staff was able to help me pick out flowering plants, and shrubs for my house. The service was spectacular. I was given planting, watering, and fertilizing guidelines printed out and my plants are thriving. Avoid the grouch in the slouch hat. The plants are nice, the prices are okay. But unless the guy in the slouch hat is part owner, I can't imagine how he keeps his job. He's unhelpful, unsmiling, and borderline rude. read more
