The setup they have due to covid is wonderfully organized. You have to arrive 15 mins early and stay in your car till the previous patient is not in the same area as you. They scan you for your temperature upon entry. Sad part was that only one parent was allowed. I'm sure it was for the better cause I was already riddled with fear. Thankfully the staff and dentist was kind enough to let me FaceTime while I sat outside. The staff was kind enough to walk my husband through the steps, provide information on dental hygiene at our daughters age and get them setup in a room for the dentist to arrive. Dr. Bryan was our dentist. He was super friendly to introduce himself to my husband and me over the phone haha. Answered all our questions and really took the time to talk to us. He checked our daughters teeth and also did a quick clean. He is strong cause our girl is a fighter haha. He was able to hold her down in a way that wasn't painful or scary as a parent. I'm definitely the type to be like "uhm no, stop please." But she was in good hands. At the end, she got a sample toothbrush, toothpaste and a little toy for her bravery. As a parent, it can be very nerve racking going to any doctors appointment because you worry about your baby. But I'm soooo happy I chose West Metro Pediatric Dentist. After reviewing our Pediatrician's list of recommendations, Yelp and proximity to our house I thought I would give Pediatric Dental Group a shot. Well, it was a good choice! All the staff is super friendly and welcoming. The office was clean and cozy with big red chairs for my 17 month old to climb onto and they had books on the tables to distract her as well. Daisy, the Dental Assistant gave us a tour of the office and what to expect for this visit. This was very helpful because I had no idea what to expect with a toddler visit to the Dentist, especially since I have a hard time brushing her teeth! Lastly, Dr. David Strange arrived introduced himself, walked me through how he will brush her teeth and then do fluoride. My son has an extreme overbite and it seems the case may be outside her area of expertise. Alyssa and Megan at the front desk have been extremely rude and have accused me of lying. When I asked Alyssa if I could speak with the doctor at her convenience, she lied and told me the doctor would not be in for the next three days. Later in the same conversation, she admitted the doctor was actually in the office. I've never experienced such poor treatment from a service I'm paying for. In fact, I've never been treated so poorly by any organization, period.

She told me I had 8…read morecavities, after never having a cavity in my adult life and 3 years later, not having another since. I ended up moving several hours away from the Metro area and had to change dentists. He discovered that 2 of the 8 fillings she performed were bad - 1 fell out and the other still had a partial cavity underneath it. When I asked him whether he thought I needed those fillings, he was extremely diplomatic and said his software wasn't the same so he couldn't zoom in as much and that some dentists were more conservative than others. I think that was his professional way of not throwing her under the bus (what did he have to lose by agreeing that there were cavities that indeed needed fillings immediately). Although she fixed both for free, I now have pain in my teeth frequently - not just those that had to be repaired but others as well. Again, no cavities in my adult life discovered by other dentists before or after her. It is true that her staff is nice and she has a fancy office, but I had believed that dentists were medical professionals that look out for your health and wellbeing first rather than financial gains by doing unnecessary procedures. I now have an intense fear and distrust of all dentists and cannot iterate strongly how much I believe that she falsely diagnoses cavities and then performs shoddy work resulting in lifelong pain. I wish I would have gotten a second opinion before accepting her diagnosis.

I have a lot of dental anxiety and have some other disabilities and mental problems, so when I saw a random and for them on YouTube I decided to give them a call. I met with Dr. Shaheen Moezzi (or Dr. Moe for short), who's apparently the guy responsible for them being here in the first place, and he was very understanding of my needs and concerns. And when I told him I also needed to get my wisdom teeth out, he had no problem telling me I could do it under full anesthesia, which they were happy to arrange. He even said they could do the deep cleaning I also needed when they pulled the teeth, so it could all be done in one sitting and I wouldn't have to worry about sitting through another painful procedure (I had one as a kid and trust me, they're not fun). After getting my first appointment rescheduled for today, I went in and they made sure before starting that I was okay with everything and that I'd have people to take care of me afterwards. They even got a kick out of me being dressed in my own scrubs, commenting that I was perfect attire for surgery (which I did on purpose, of course). Then they stuck the IV in my arm and five minutes later (to me at least), I was waking up with a mouth full of gauze to learn it was already over. They called my stepdad to pick me up since it ran a little long (and they did NOT want to send me in a regular cab, since my driver had already come while I was still in surgery and had to leave), but they made sure to send me home with everything I needed to make it as easy on me as possible (including s handful of gloves at my request, which I am very thankful for since I wouldn't like handling blood-soaked gauze bare handed). I can't thank them enough for being so kind, caring and compassionate to me through this whole process, because this was something I had been dreading since I was a teenager. And now that I know it's over with, I don't have to worry about it much anymore. I'm thankful for Dr. Moe, the oral surgeon (whom I already forgot his name), Claudia, and the rest of their team for such a great experience and can't wait to start visiting regularly for my cleanings and routine care. I've only been here twice in the last six months, but I'm already in love with them, and can't stress how much I recommend them enough. This is a great place to bring your kids, or those you care about with special needs (even yourself), if you're looking for a great practice that will listen to you, help you through any anxiety you may have, and explain how they can help. They could not get me in for 3 days so I asked to text the pictures to Dr Ngo so that she could assess if this was an emergency or not. The staff told me there is NO cell phone options ( shocking in today's world) and the only option was to email the photos and they would get back with me. I asked to speak with Dr Ngo and they refused and transferred me to yet another unknowledgeable person. At that point, I emailed the pictures and NEVER heard back from them. After day 3 of not hearing back, I called to cancel our appointment because we had went to Urgent Care, The receptionist asked " How is he"? The patient that has been going there for 8 years is a female. Clearly, no investment in knowing their patients or even looking at their screen for a name or gender. After considering the disappointment of our care over the last few months and the unfriendliness of the dentist, I feel we are just a number, not a valued patient.
