We hired BH to interior design our recently renovated custom home, and the experience fell far short of expectations. Key issues included: * We were incorrectly invoiced for items that belonged to other clients. * The majority of our project's invoices were not issued until after we initiated contract termination--and then labeled "past due." * They lost our house key! Which was never recovered. * There was no system provided from BH for tracking billable hours. So we created our own spreadsheet--and even then, we had to request multiple times for it to be updated. * Repeated delays in providing basic order info (e.g., 6+ follow-ups for one order number) * Placed heavy furniture in the wrong room despite written instructions the day prior * Missed delivery timelines we explicitly asked to have confirmed prior to ordering * Direct questions in emails often went unanswered, only to be followed by additional emails (which we were billed for) seeking clarification. * No initial design consultation--resulting in misaligned concepts and inflated revision time * Even after we created and shared a detailed design brief and Pinterest board, proposed designs still missed the mark * We paid all outstanding invoices and install fees within 48 hours of initiating contract termination, but it still took BH a week to get our gate remote back.
