Just look at the reviews - they are awful. Had emergency surgery in ER with doc here for penile fracture. Standard protocol not followed: didn't shave me (increases likelihood of infection), no antibiotics after I left, no pain meds, no written instructions outside of standard ER instructions they give to everybody. Had a follow up appt today for my 1 wk checkup; met with PA who was at hospital when I was admitted / had surgery. He agreed not getting written instructions was weird but put it on the hospital... I said wouldn't the doctor who specializes in this need to be the one that would write the instructions he said "true that's fair". Just full of complete shit. He asks if he can have a doctor come in... I said please do. P.s. he agreed no pain meds was odd. Made clear he felt really bad about how things went. Doc (not doc that did surgery but he also works in the practice) comes in and defends everything... how do you defend no written instructions? No pain med? Nothing? That's when I knew they were a dishonest practice. Look at the reviews. Tells you everything you need to know. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Even after I stopped in yesterday and gave a UA in hopes they would get me on the schedule. No shock when I called back today and still nothing. You and your new cackle of worthless people suck Geoff! This after being in the ER 3 weeks ago and told I need surgery. Geoff Ledgerwood's PA was supposed to follow up with me and of course that person never called! Amazing doctor but worthless when you cannot get scheduled when you need it! I know this would have never happened without you and today is exactly 12 years of extra living thanks to you. Happy New Year Dr Ledgerwood. To the rest of you negative people, yes the medical field is filled with poorly trained and uneducated entry level staff who are flat out morons with the poorest of communications so I get how frustrating that is especially when death is knocking at your door like in my case. But seriously crying over a kidney stone that you finally pass a few day later....really. However, if your life is on the line do you really care about a lot of these complaints or do you want the best of the best to operate on you because they actually know what they are doing? Again, I can only speak of and testify to the miraculous work Dr Ledgerwood did when he operated on me 6 different times cutting out my kidney cancer while keeping me off of dialysis even 12 years later! I have also personally met other patients of Dr Ledgerwood's outside of their office who even said that MD Anderson offered to operate but also referred my friend back to Dr Ledgerwood. This was due to Dr Ledgerwood's expertise knowledge and ability to operate successfully and then get his patient home a lot quicker than MD Anderson could or would. Hence why my friend also chose Dr Ledgerwood with absolute success as well. Trust me I too hate the alleged medical professionals who do not know what they are doing but when your life is on the line I would not trust anyone anymore than I do trust Dr Ledgerwood. Especially to operate on my half of one and only kidney like he did so many times! Please think twice about your reviews if it is truly a medical neglect or malpractice case that could actually result in a lawsuit or are you just upset things are not going your way but with some patience you too might have a much better result? I again do understand and have had my negatives with the staff there that almost cost me my relationship and support with Dr Ledgerwood. Thankfully though Dr Ledgerwood and I both worked it out and even if we had not I still would never change my appreciation for all that Dr Ledgerwood did to help keep alive. I was initially told I had 1-2 years to live based off of the diagnosis and data and not any doctors ability to read a crystal ball. Thankfully I met Dr Ledgerwood and now have an "A" team of other providers that keep me going and with them all I literally just hit 12 years of the most incredible life I could live. This with so many thanks for the amazing surgeon Dr Ledgerwood and all he has done for me and my family. Please think twice about the content of your review before telling people to never give them a shot because of your personal experience. I truly believe I would not be alive here today if it was not for the 6 surgeries that Dr Ledgerwood performed on/for me. There is no bigger kidney cancer fan of Dr Ledgerwood than myself! Especially since my Renal Cell Carcinoma Stage III diagnosis was after I already donated a kidney to a sibling over a decade prior. Then I was diagnosed on 12-31-2013 when then Dr Ledgerwood had to operate again for the second time on 1-2-2014. Truly a real life hero and savior so please do not sweat the small stuff or bedside manners because the pros are sometimes too busy thinking of things way beyond or several steps ahead of what we are thinking usually. Everyone who has a complaint here, all of you need to do two things 1) report the doctor to the medical board. 2) file a complaint with CMS Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). I took my resident to try and get some results from a doctor known as "Dr. Demon Source" it's Damien, but he acts more like a demon. he was very disrespectful to my resident made fun of him because he was on a wheelchair and had a really terrible (horrific) sarcastic laugh the entire time. I wasn't sure what was so funny to him. Not sure why they EVEN consider him a doctor when he's really unprofessional and that's not the worst part my resident's son was on the phone while all of this was happening and he heard everything which I'm sure he'll end up leaving a review as well. Colorado Urology has an "F" rating with the BBB website. After my pre-op, I was notified that I had an bladder infection and was issued Cipro to take before the procedure, which I did. When the surgeon came by before surgery, I asked him about the infection. He looked at the information and saw that I was issued Cipro for an infection that was resistant to it, which caused the surgeon signficant consternation. Instead of going to surgery on time, I was delayed 2 hours and had to give another urinalysis to ensure that it was ok to proceed. At the post-op, they could not tell me why I was issued Cipro or even if the test results were mine. I may have been given a prescription based on someone else's sample. Secondly, While checking in for a pre-op visit on 2/19, I was notified of an outstanding balance of $700+ and was told I had to pay at that time. I paid by my credit card. When I spoke with my wife, she notified me that she had also paid via an online portal using her credit card. In effect, we overpaid by $702.26. We immediately notified their office of the overpayment and requested a refund. My wife called and I inquired when in the office. We provided copies of receipts multiple times as well as a copy of our credit card transactions when requested to demonstrate that the charges were billed to our account. I have twice requested a representative from management to contact me, as no progress has been made on the reimbursement. Both times I was promised a return call from management with 24 hours; I have yet to be contacted. The only status that has been provided is that the transactions need to be researched. This has not changed in the 5 weeks since we started the process; additionally, if the transaction were to be reimbursed, they notified me that it would take an additional 4 ?? 6 weeks. We are now looking at 3 months for a simple reimbursement, but I cannot even obtain a status of the research. read more

Revenue first, customer care second, customer service non-existent. I had been under various doctor's care for about 10 years at Colorado Urology for enlarged prostrate and ED issues. I am a very healthy male in my early 60's. Last year I switched to another urology office. My primary complaint is with customer service. Scheduling an M-Wave procedures was a major hassle. There are six treatments. The scheduling staff claims they will follow-up with scheduling options within 24-48 hours. It took over a week to get an appointment scheduled for 3 out of the 6 sessions. In most cases I had to call back one or more times. This is for a $3200 out of pocket procedure that Colorado Urology asked for payment up front. The first doctor I visited for enlarged prostrate was quick to recommend a procedure without doing tests for enlarged prostrate. I switched to Dr. Huff. Her care and treatment was generally good. Although, her recommendations for finasteride and dutasteride are questionable. Both have long term negative side effects. Both are not recommended by other Urologists. Including one doctor in the same office. On several visits we discussed prostrate procedure options. All procedures made me nervous. My primary care physician recommended a second opinion on the procedures with Dr. Sorce. The receptionist advised if I make an appointment with Dr. Sorce, all my files had to be transferred to Dr. Sorce. I requested a discussion with the office manager on this policy and was told there would be contact within 24-48 hours. Three follow-up calls and one in person visit and there was still no call back from the office manager. The receptionist staff was beyond rude on the phone and during my visit. Dr Greenfield was the physician recommended for ED. He provided some consult and tests. However, the M-wave test we discussed did not work. Dr Greenfield had advised it was 100% successful for the patients treated in his office. I was also under the opinion this procedure was performed by Colorado Urology personnel. It's done by a contracted technician with the vast majority of the revenue going to Colorado Urology. There was no follow-up from Dr. Greenfields office on the success or failure of this procedure and next steps. A letter was drafted Sept. 2022 addressing my issues with Colorado Urology and requesting a consult. The letter was addressed to Dr Greenfield, Dr. Huff, and Dr. Sorce. There has been no response. Last year I switched to another Urology group down in Colorado Springs. Patient care and customer service is light years ahead of Colorado Urology. read more

My family member had an appointment with Dr. Jason Greenfield at this location. This provider was so personable and empathetic of the situation we were in. He took the time and the patience to help us get through a procedure that was needed. I would recommend anyone to see Dr. Greenfield that is wanting a Doctor Who cares. He will not rush you out of the office and he will take his time and listen to what your needs are. Ella is one of the managers there at this office and she was amazing to work with. I let her know the special circumstances that we were in and what our needs were and she set everything up to make sure we had the best experience possible. It was nice to have someone who really listened and cared. I cannot thank Ella and Dr. Greenfield enough for caring and making a hard situation into a situation we got through and I am so thankful for that. read more

I gave my new primary Doc info to the M.A. or Nurse. I got a call from their office the next day saying my prim. Doc info was wrong - (they called the old Doctor office) and did not update the new info I gave during my last vist. These things do make you wonder and cause some doubts about their record keeping and office procedures. And this: A very rude phone receptionist (Jen, I believe) the person you get when you dial 0 from the menu options, switches you to another extension before you can even get your name out and explain what you need (this is not the first time this has happened with this office). I had a beyond horrific experience here today. I am an SA survivor, there was no care or concern, he wouldn't even listen to my questions I had about the procedure before literally shoving a camera in my urethra when i was mid sentence when I said I wasn't ready yet and that I had questions. As a trauma survivor, this is NOT okay and you can't do this to people!!!! I have AUTONOMY over my body and I have a CHOICE when I am touched, especially in such an invasive way. (Disclaimer this has been sitting in my drafts and I didn't realize it. However this was an actual and valid experience right before COVID happened.) I visited this office to see Dr. Huff on 1/30/20. At the appointment Dr. Huff told me to reschedule to see her after a needed scheduled surgery. She told me she could nothing until after the surgery. She walked me out and rescheduled the visit. She did nothing (was not seen, assessed, or examined) but I received a bill for $123.31. When I contacted the billing department I was told I was billed for extensive training that lasted over 25 minutes on my portal account. I do not have a portal account and I'm tech savvy where I would not need tutelage on how to access a patient portal. When I expressed all of the above with the billing rep I was told I'd be contacted back by the office within 48hours. I was not. I've been calling the office manager for 3 months now trying to get this resolved. Ella, the office manager says she would get this resolved. When I called her today she told me that she turned it over to billing and that it's out of her hands and she does not have the power do do anything but she would speak to her boss about it. When I first spoke with her on 3/6/20 she told me she would take care of it and to disregard the bill. I feel as if I'm getting the run around and I don't know what's been done because I'm still receiving bills and I'm not receiving the calls back that Ella is saying will happen. Update: The bill was finally taken care of because Dr. Huff should never have charged me for the visit. However, it should not have taken months. I never went back to this clinic. read more

Pass. Their bedside manner is awful and they treat you like a number. When they discharged me, they literally gave me NO information or counseling, other than to say I might be sore for a day or two. A few days after my procedure I had some concerns and called them. The person on the other end had no idea what she was doing, gave me misinformation, and then rushed me off the phone while I was still asking questions. So I called the on-call doctor who was very impatient with me (even though I was uber calm, cool and collected), as if he expected me (a first time vasectomy patient) to know what to expect post-op. I actually had to explain to him that I had no idea what to expect because I'd NEVER had a procedure like this done, before he stopped talking down to me and simply answered my questions. These guys are simply in it for the money and could care less what the aftermath is. read more

Had a consultation for a vasectomy. They force you to use a website, which is terribly amateurish. Making payment is difficult, as the payment website won't take the info from the paper bill (and you only get the required info from the paper bill). Ali Sarram seemed ok during the zoom consult, but the whole operation seems amateurish. The MA, named Brisa Saenz sent me a message in response to my inquiry about how to pay for the consultation saying that basically they don't know, don't have anything to do with billing and to go elsewhere if I don't like it. So, I'm taking her advice and going elsewhere. I'm glad I came here and read some of these reviews. They are alway asking for personal information for the software program that doesn't apply to your medical treatment. What does a colonoscopy have to do with a urinary issue? This management group is lazy. They will have you do everything for their software program. Then it take on the average 10 minutes to answer the phone. Saying that its is not a normal day. The only thing that is not normal is the lack of personnel to perform the job. Clearly they have told the Doctor's that they can improve their income but at the expense of their patients. I've never had a worst experience in a doctors office. After waiting 25 minutes after my scheduled appointment time and I approached the reception desk. I canceled my appointment. No one, no one spoke to anybody in the waiting room to tell any of us that the doctors were running late. Terrible customer service absolutely terrible. I will never go back. No wonder they have a two star rating. I called the manager and it took 18 hours for him to call me back. Totally worthless person. These folks are responsible for providing care of a very sensitive nature and it is important for folks to feel comfortable with who they are going with. I felt like the office staff, who seems to take the brunt of most of these reviews, did a great job. I'm a manager in a customer service type role and while I don't think they were perfect, they were professional and took care of me. At the doctor level, Dr. Sorce did a phenomenal job. I went in expecting the worst and don't have a bad thing to say about them. So if you are looking for someone to take care of you in the Vascectomy territory these guys do a fine job. Well I'll be the first to submit a review and I must caveat it with the fact that I did not have to use these folks as I passed the kidney stones while waiting for an appointment. Ok, I was in Skyridge Hospital thinking death was near with the pain I was suffering. I met Dr. Ledgerwood, Dr. Ali Sarram and Jenny Briggs PA-C. I liked the doctors and young Ms. Briggs was bubbly. She strongly recommended that I drink lots of fluids in the future to avoid kidney stones. She further stated that it didn't matter what liquid I drank, just lots of fluids. She advocated that whiskey, wine, beer, or water, just drink lots. Upon my discharge from the hospital, the stone hadn't passed but the intense pain had subsided. I spent the rest of the weekend drinking water and hoping to piss out a rock. Went online to Advanced Urology online appointment scheduler to request an appointment. Then I called Monday morning at 9 and left a message. Left another message at 10. I needed a urologist and these guys weren't interested in returning my phone calls. Called my primary care physician for an appointment Monday afternoon to get a referral to a urologist. While at the doctors office, I pissed out a handful of sand and immediately felt better. That was Monday. I went to work Tuesday and upon coming home at 5 pm, find a missed called from Advance Urology from 4:50 pm. No message was left but through the beauty of caller ID, I know they called. Anyway, good thing I didn't need these clowns but if you're looking for good customer service and relatively prompt response, keep looking. read more

Wish there was a zero star option. Factory practice basically run entirely by assistants. Can't even get a person's name right. Unconcerned and no urgency. "Oh you've been screaming every time you pee since we rammed a camera up you? Sigh. I guess I can get you in tomorrow." Liked (past tense) the doc, though we didn't get anywhere towards an actual diagnosis or determination of what is going on in five months. These people are inserting themselves into the most intimate and tender aspects of your life and your body. And they have zero respect or consideration doing it. Kept an appointment today only to get records and terminate the relationship. Asked to speak to the practice manager. He and Dr. Greenfield, apparently not bothering with any HIPAA inconveniences, discussed my entire situation so loudly that I heard every word through the closed door. Obviously, every other patient could too. Do NOT recommend this practice. But, If you like humiliation, pain, lack of information or follow up, snotty assistants and lack of results, this is the place for you! Also, the parking situation is awful and the access to actual offices inside is also awful. It's like going to the mall. Plan an extra five minutes just to get in and to the suite you're going to. read more

My original rating would be 0 but I must commend top management for handling the unacceptable experience with professionalism and concern. Unfortunately or fortunately, I am a letter writer and I chose to write, not only to the physican who "treats" (ususally a PA) my sister, but to the owners/CEO of the parent company. This company realizes the importance of good management and patient care, and hopefully it will translate to the office and treating PA's. My suggestion, for any bad experience, to to let top management know. (An internet search will give you that information.) Then, see how management responds. That will let you know if they really care. I can tell you the management of Colorado Urology, which is now a member of United Urology, truly cares. We will give them another try. read more

Dr. Ledgerwood is a professional. His staff, or Colorado Urology as a whole, are not. On all 3 of my visits, a survey was pushed at me from the jump...constantly. In the sign up, pre visit registration, visit reminders, ect. The survey had little to no bearing on medical history, or medical needs. I expressed that I was not comfortable answering some of the questions like ethniticy. On the third visit, I was told it was mandatory. Another patient sitting accross from me also voiced her discomfort. I was told I would not be seen unless I filled out the survey. When a patient voices discomfort and is not addressed, thats a red flag. I left. read more

AVOID THIS OFFICE AT ALL COSTS. I am having medical issues that I'm being told are an 'emergency' and relate completely to Dr. Seidelin's area of practice but they are unwilling to help completely. Your expectation of this office should be that they will order tests and write referrals but that's about it. Don't expect any responses from seceretary's, doctors, or nurses. The only way I have ever been able to reach somebody at the office is by showing up, calling the emergency page line after hours, or calling multiple times. They seem to be so disconnected to the issues at hand and even if they don't have the answers they should at least be able to point me in the right direction and help me manage pain. They don't. After noticing some issues on an MRI that was ordered, Dr. Seidelin told me that I should find a neuorlogist off of Yelp or the phonebook. Now, I'm fighting them for this referral. I am writing primarily from the perspective of the billing process, although it was my husband who was a patient. As I am the primary insured and I made the appointment, I asked their office to refer to me for billing and insurance matters. I provided my insurance information. A few days before the appointment, the billing office called me (since I gave them my number as the billing contact). The woman asked to speak to my husband. I figured it was related to the procedure itself, so I gave her his work number. She called my husband to tell him the procedure is not covered by my insurance. Of course he knows nothing about this so he relays the message. I do some research with my insurance company and when I put in the doctor and the location (Aurora facility) the insurance company doesn't even find them. If I put in the same doctor but at the Lone Tree location, he shows up as in network and the procedure is covered. So I call my insurance company, who of course is not very helpful and know nothing about anything if it doesn't come up on their computer (probably using the same basic software as their website), but I digress. So I called Advanced Urology and spoke to the billing office. The woman there has a voice demeanor that shows no interest what-so-ever in helping me. She is curt and complains that she can't hear me. I tell her, generally, that I'm calling about our insurance. I have to spell my name 5 times. Once we get that resolved she again asks why I'm calling. She ends up transferring me to a slighly nicer lady, who is also still kind of joyless sounding. I tell her what I discovered on my own with my insurance: that she probably needs to submit the query about the coverage using the Lone Tree/billing office. The procedure should be covered although I will have deductible to pay. Later, after the procedure, I need an insurance explanation of benefits so that I can get my deductible (sizeable) reimbursed by my Flex Spending Account at work. My insurance company doesn't show they've received it yet (10 days later). So I call the billing office again. Same grumpy, hard-of-hearing lady answers the phone. Again, I have to spell my name 3 times before she gets it. She says they've submitted it as of the day after the procedure. I should have asked how they submitted it. If they did it by paper, god only knows when the insurance company will get it and process it. But that seems to be the case. (I work in medical claims, so I know what is possible. An electronically filed claim should take maybe a week to be completely processed, but often it is processed within 2 days.) Mostly I really object to the billing office, especially the one who answers the phone. I loathe talking to her and she is never any help. As for the medical experience: Dr. Ledgerwood seems to have done a competent job. HOWEVER, between the time that my husband was disrobed and prepped for the procedure, having been told that the doctor would be right in, the doctor apparently was called away to some emergency. That is okay, but NO ONE bothered to let my husband know it would be a while. Would he like something to read? Would he like to put his freaking clothes back on so he was more comfortable? No. He said basically naked and bored in a cold procedure room for an hour. That is so incredibly inconsiderate and lame. We probably could have chosen a closer urologist, and wish we had. We're still not done with the billing process. Hopefully there are no more ugly surprises or hassles. read more

HORRIBLE!!! Made an appt 6 months out for a procedure and when I got there they didn't even have me on the schedule. They then had me see a terribly dismissive PA who spoke to me for 2 minutes then sent me home..... Don't waste your time here, go somewhere else. read more

I am sorry to write this, but after thinking about this and giving them the benefit of the doubt as much as reasonable, I decided to write this review: Communication is beyond terrible. Staff will not EVER answer the phone. Portal or email messaging may eventually get through to the medical staff. This was my experience when I was suffering from painful complications due to a procedure done that morning. Had to drive across town and hope someone was still there to help - otherwise it was off to the Emergency Room. This happened on two different days/occasions, same communications problems. You will never be able to contact ANY staff (live person) directly. I was not impressed with the skill level of the medical staff either (thus the complications from the two procedures). Fortunately for them, I was billed full price for both procedures. My observation is the business is organized for the staff and the staff only. It is probably nice to work there and pays well since pesky patients cannot bother them unless there on site for a paying procedure. Clearly I am not alone in my opinion. For your sake, find a better clinic. read more
