FIND ANOTHER UROLOGY PRACTICE! - I had a horrible experience with this practice and Dr. Eigner in particular (who may be retired now - good!). Scheduling could have been clearer, and the staff was short and rude as if they didn't care about working there. But beyond that, I WAS LIED TO above the pain of the procedure, and especially the BILLING. Before the procedure, I asked billing to contact United Healthcare to confirm that the procedure was covered and what my responsibility would be. I received an email confirmation that my part would be a $15 copay . . . in writing . . . in an email. With that information, I decided to have the procedure done. Two months later, I received a bill for $785! I tried to appeal the charge, but couldn't get a call back. I then received two additional statements for $785. THEY ARE LIARS AND DECEIVERS. Dr. Simon Kim and his Lone Tree, CO staff provide abysmal service. If you want to get massive run around, and delays, while you are potentially dying of cancer, while they won't return calls, this is the place to go. They scheduled a biopsy for my husband over a month ago, only to have to cancel it because they failed to schedule the required PET/MRI scans. Now over a month later his scans come back with Stage 4 metastized cancer into his lungs & lymph nodes. They have yet to schedule him into the hospital for next steps, and won't call me back. You are not a priority for these people at all. read more

The worst experience ever. The first visit Dr Bell was 40 minutes late. No one told me he was running late. I had to ask. Reschedule. Tge waiting room was very cold and had to wear a jacket, rest room had no to paper ever had to ask for some. The following visit the PA was late again. Early that day had to get paper work from my primary doctor from lab and they called twice to my where is the paper work on the same day. This was rude and unprofessional since my primary doctor fax it to they twice. Lack of communication from This department. Very rude and unprofessional. The PA was nice but I would not used this practice again. Plus, each time I had a visit to up date information again on line before the visit. Check in online again again. Which was nit needed, If they want to you be on time than they should tell if you if they are running late, or before paper work they got before the date of appointment than the day of, Bring a jacket to stay warm in wait room too. Don't bother with them! Horrible customer service and scheduling. Just awful! I waited over 2 months for my appt. On my way there was an accident on the highway and closed to one lane. I left in planet of time to be there at least 30 minutes for my appt. I called to let them know the situation and I was about 5 minutes from there office. No problem. I received a call back saying sorry you weren't here 20 minutes BEFORE ypur appt started and we will reschedule. I filled out all necessary paperwork online prior to my visit. I raced to get to the office, got stopped by a police car who did let me off with a 75 ticket. I still made it to their office 3 minutes past my time. So sorry now your rescheduled 2 months out. Well I guess I will end up in the ER again and I have the possibility of cancer. So I guess that will have to wait for them to fully diagnose me and who knows I could be in the hospital by that time, Don't bother with them until f you are really sick and need to see a UROLOGIST. Dr Bell was very thorough in explaining my prostate cancer treatment options and the consequences if I took no action. I'm in the process of choosing my next steps. From what I know so far, Cyberknife is the best treatment for me. read more

I have been a patient with Urology Associates (UA) for the past 4 years. Before retiring, Dr. Eigner provided great service. Since his retirement, I have not been assigned another urologist. Rather, UA has put me into a program called Chronic Care Management Services. This is a terrible service which involves a monthly phone call to see how I am doing. The callers have little knowledge of my medications, medical procedural practices, etc. It seems that I provide them the information and there is no information as to when I will be assigned another urologist. The phone calls last about 10 minutes and that is billed to medical insurance for $194.28, and my co-pay is $25.00. This is a "rip off" service. They have refused to forgive the charge to my insurance and my co-pay. Needless to say, I asked them to remove me from this program. read more

I haven't personally met with Dr Cowan but my dad has and likes him. He will be performing a surgery my dad had once before (but this time, using a different technique). We're hopeful this solves the problem. I have been to a couple appointments with him and staff is always friendly. We actually recently showed up 40 mins late due to a mix up on the appointment time and they still got him in with minimal wait time, and were even friendly and understanding about it. They also worked hard to coordinate with my dad's new doctors in Colo Springs (for labs, etc) and to find local places for imaging here as well, to eliminate the drive back and forth after a move down south. My dad was happy to find a new physician but wanted to stick with Dr Cowan / Urology Associates. Cowan's PA is great too! She's knowledgeable and super friendly. She walked through the pre op instructions and left us feeling confident about the procedure and recovery process. read more

What can I say about Urology Associates of Denver? I can say that when faced with some pretty sure news, Dr Cowen provided a lot of hope. I had previously gone to a urologist in Fort Collins and he had told me that my wife and I would need to just adopt. Dr Cowen looked at my test results and started on getting my own Testosterone system working. Fertility issues with men are still a a somewhat new field and I would recommend Dr Cowen to anyone dealing with make factor infertility. read more

Please, I urge you not to go here! If you got a referral to this place, PLEASE ask your doctor for a referral for somewhere else! When I went in for my appointment, I told the receptionists that I wanted to pay outright for my entire "procedure" (it was hardly even that, but more so testing for something), which was over $1000. I paid it, and then a couple weeks later received a bill in the mail for over $600 that I owed for this appointment. I called and spoke with the incredibly RUDE person in billing, and told them I had asked to pay for this in its entirety and was told that the $1000+ was for the entire thing and then I got slammed with this bill. Long story short, they told me the extra $600+ bill was for the room that I had the procedure in, and that they bill separately. What?!? I had to pay it. This place is extremely sneaky and WILL try to bill you for whatever they can. Please do not go here! read more

This is an awful, unorganized, unprofessional office. Dr. Snyder is an overweight, rude slob. Their paperwork has misspellings and is conflicting, their front desk staff argued about calling us with information about insurance coverage (which they didn't). My husband was given gauze to take home wrapped in a paper towel... Dr. Snyder was SO rude, insulting and unprofessional. Thank goodness we never have to see him again and this was a one time procedure, maybe that's why he feels he can be a d!ck to his patients. Tried to have my records follow Dr. Smith who left this office. I was met with very unhelpful front desk personnel who stated they had no record of where Dr. Smith relocated so they were unable to forward my records. Asked to speak to the office manager who refused to come out and talk to me but wanted to discuss the issue over the phone. When I commented how unprofessional this whole procedure was, she stated I was very hostile. OMG. I would not recommend this office to anyone, period. read more

The office and billing staff are a nightmare. We chose this office because it was in network with our insurance. We confirmed in advance with both the office and our insurance that the entire cost of the procedure would only be our $40 copay and scheduled with Dr Brad Bell. When we showed up for the procedure the office demanded we pay a $508.19 "copay" (who has a copay for such an odd amount?!) they said they confirmed with our insurance that was our required copay in spite of the fact that our insurance card clearly showed different and we had confirmed in advance. They said they couldn't notify us of this charge before the time of operation because our phone number was disconnected. It was my husband's cell which he's had working for 14 years and they used that exact same number to confirm our appointment the day prior. We paid because they wouldn't take him back without it. They were fishy from the get-go. I asked for a super bill for the payment and the office member acted like he'd never had that request and said he didn't know how to do that. I told him I needed a receipt and so he asked a few others in the office and they said they can't produce one I'd have to call billing the next week. I called the billing office the following week and again showed them our copay was $40 and our insurance had already processed the operation and, as expected, shows we should only owe $40. The women made up a story about there being another pending charge to insurance that hadn't cleared yet. I've spoken with insurance and they confirmed there should be no additional charges and the practice should refund our money. I waited a few more weeks and called again today and got a new run around. Now a guy in their billing department is just deflecting saying he will have to email an account manager inside their office about it and they'll call me back when he gets an email response. It's been 6 weeks and 3 calls to this office plus to our insurance and we've made no progress. read more

I have been a patient for several years now. In the past I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau due to problems with billing and insurance. That issue has been resolved. Now the problem is getting a Doctor to return a phone call. There seems to be inaccurate information on my records and I just want to clear that up. I also have questions about medical procedures that the DR. wants me to do. Communications in this office are abysmal, and after reading Andrea M's review, I agree with her that it is an unorganized, unprofessional office. The receptionist people are usually unfriendly at best, sometimes hostile. I am not naming the Doctors that I see because I do not believe that the lack of communication falls on them. For example, I have requested a call back from them 3 times now with no call from either one of them. I did receive a message from their assistant that I needed to make an appointment. Seems to me that is is a way for the business to bill the insurance company, not for medical care but for me to ask a couple of questions? I did this once in the past and the PA that I saw seemed to be puzzled as to why I was there. During the visit she did not know anything about my previous treatments and results. I was a little offended that she had not read my file before my visit. So, I had to pay some for the visit and the insurance company had to pay the rest. And the purpose of the visit was to schedule hormone treatment, which I had been getting. I am not sure about what agency investigates the practices of a medical office but I do think this business needs to be investigated. I would not recommend this office. The doctors are good to a point but the office is terrible. My 6 month old daughter had surgery 3 weeks ago and recently was diagnosed with a UTI. Being that it could be related to her surgery I called and left a voicemail the Doctor that performed the surgery MA and 48 hours have passed and I have yet to hear anything back from them. Before the surgery I also had HUGE scheduling issues with this office as they never respond to anyone so getting her ultrasound/MAG3 scan was delayed. It took me calling several different people multiple times a day for almost a week before I could get it resolved. On top of all of this when discussing my daughter's surgery the doctor that would be preforming it stated that another doctor wanted to get in on it because it looked "fun". I wouldn't exactly call that patient sensitivity. read more

Dr. Cowan is a pro. I was nervous for the procedure but the worst part about it was the nerves. Dr. Cowan knows what he's doing and if I had to do it again (luckily it is one of those things that only happens once) I'd go back to Dr. Cowan at Urology Associates. read more

This place is the worse medical facility I have ever dealt with- after paying them thousand of dollars , they apparently did another test unbeknownst to me was charged another 900 and after attempting for SEVERAL weeks to contact them I finally got someone to call me back (after complaining to several voicemail machines) and they refused to cut any of my bill . They took no responsibility for the neglect I received. My issue is no different than when I walked in the door , now I'm having to contact Craig hospital to get care.. awful customer service and even worse doctors. read more

Appointments are easy to make and the staff at the front desk are helpful and considerate. The doctors, PAs, and nurses are very kind and they listen to my concerns. Was given a referral to them for my elderly father. The receptionist was super rude and after taking all my information wouldn't book an appointment because I didn't have the exact drs name that the referral came from (it's a healthcare group). She was transferring me over to referrals (that never called to schedule) and I smashed my finger said "ouch." She then said "you want to call me that, then have a good day" and hung up. I didn't even get a chance to tell her what I said. The only thing I can think of is she is so rude that it's not unusual for her to be called names. Anyway, I will be getting a referral to somewhere else because I can only imagine how they are in person. read more

If I could post a no star review I would. Made an appointment for my elderly mother. Took a day off work and got her there. They scheduled her at the Rose office when I asked for Lone tree. Rescheduled for the next week (today) at 10:30. I take another day off work. We get there at 10:25. They said our appointment was at 10:10 and we should have been there at 9:45. Never were we told. So two lost days of work and we are still without a urologist. They offered to reschedule and we said no thanks! Too big of an office and no communication. read more

The most helpful person I spoke with was the emergency operator. Don't know how I got through to them though. Dr. Eigner is awesome. I was having trouble finding great reviews for a urologist in the local area, and my research led me to try Dr. Eigner. It took a while to initially see him because his schedule is quite full, but the wait paid off because he is truly a compassionate, personable, fun doctor who shows he cares about you and takes the time needed to explain things and make you feel comfortable. I could have seen several other doctors sooner but I was concerned about their reviews...so glad I waited for Dr. Eigner! read more

Similar to some of the review below, if I could give them one star - I would. The scheduling staff is abhorrent. I went in for an appointment this summer (6 weeks after delivering my baby), and scheduled care for my child so I could come in - they told me that my appointment had been cancelled (but no one had called me to tell me). They refused to work with me to get me on the calendar that day. I thought it was a fluke - and gave them the benefit of the doubt and scheduled another appointment 4 months out - the day before, they cancelled the appointment. To add insult to injury, they decided to reschedule it for a random time, without my consent, and left a voicemail that if I didn't show up - they would charge me. Completely unprofessional - would never, ever recommend. read more

Ok, so I've already been very unhappy with Dr. Fagelson's bed-side manner, or lack thereof. He always appears that we're bothering him and an interruption to whatever he was doing. He's in and out like a flash and I have to stop him to ask questions. Having said that, we don't see him anymore; we usually see a nurse. Mom goes in once a month for a catheter change. About 50% of the time we wait at least 20+ minutes. It's hard on her back as she has scoliosis and degenerative disk. We are always early because she is in a wheelchair so I leave in plenty of time to unload her at the door, park the car, and then take her up to the office. Today we were there at 1:22pm for a 1:30pm appointment. At 2:00 mom is hurting bad and I'm trying to keep her comfortable. I hear the two gals at the desk chatting away with one of the waiting guests. Finally, at 2:10 mom is called in and I explain to the nurse that mom is in pain due to the long wait. She asked if we were late. I said no and that we've been waiting since 1:22. She looked at me and said, "That's strange. I've been doing paperwork at my desk and didn't know you were waiting." What???? So on my way out, I bring this whole story to the two gals at the front desk and the one on the right says, "There must have been a communication problem." The one on the right says, "I was doing paperwork." Neither one apologized so I just walked out the door. It's time to change. Enough is enough. We're looking for a doctor who cares and professional attentive staff. read more

What an awful experience. I went through an unnecessary invasive procedure that wasn't fully explained to me. My problem has yet to have been resolved and I've been getting billed extreme amounts for procedures that took place over a year ago. I've never had a better experience with a doctor than I did with Dr. Galansky and his PA, Lee Parsons. They are incredible and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They took amazing care of my 4 year old boy. After multiple pain episodes over more than a year and ER visits, I saw Dr. G for the first time after a recommendation from our pediatrician. Dr. G. and Lee rearranged their schedules to get us into their office immediately to verify some fairly invasive tests did in fact need to be done for my son. Their amazing team saw us through testing, watching the progress of the condition and ultimately surgery which went perfectly. Dr. G took time to explain everything and Lee was always there as his right arm answering questions, providing feedback and support. I definitely trust the entire team associated with these two including the office staff who does everything behind the scenes and the operating team Dr. G works with. During this experience, Dr. G also introduced us to an anesthesiologist which was yet another extraordinary experience. You can't go wrong with these guys, they demonstrate what we all expect and hope for from our medical providers and they truly care about their patients. read more

I don't usually write reviews but I was very unhappy with how I was treated and would urge you to not waste your time here. The staff and doctor were nice enough, however they wanted nothing to do with me after my kidney stone surgery. I had some problems after the surgery that were related but they wouldn't return my phone calls. They never checked how I was doing or followed up with the post procedure tests they said I needed. The doctor also changed my surgery time from 4pm to 7AM at 5pm the night before. I was working until midnight and got a message that if I didn't change appointment times, my surgery I'd been waiting weeks for would be canceled. He said this was because he had an emergency surgery but I later found out it was because I was his last appointment and his first appointment canceled and he rather get off early. Simply asking if I'd change times instead of threatening to cancel my surgery and making up a lie would have been more appropriate. Please do not go here! When you are already in pain, you need people who care and these people clearly don't. One of the worst experiences of my life they only made worse. read more

Late last year we were told our youngest son was in need of surgery and our pediatrician gave us a list of recommended surgeons in the area familiar with our sons condition. After placing a few calls, we made an appointment to see Dr. Galansky. Not only did Dr. Galansky take the time to answer all of our questions regarding the surgery, but he gently and calmly addressed our sons concerns and we left the office knowing we had made the right decision. Fortunately, my son recovered quickly and in subsequent follow up visits with Dr. Galansky we were again treated with the same professionalism and compassion. He outlined any follow treatment our son may need in the future and went over a detailed account of the procedure. Anyone who has ever had a sick child will a test to the fact that your number one concern as a worried parent is getting your child the best possible care and treatment. We were able to find a physician who gave us both and for those reasons I highly recommend Dr. Stan Galansky. read more

I took off work for my 10am appointment. When I arrived I was told it looks like they rescheduled my appointment without my knowledge. I've been waiting to see the 'next available' dr for about an hour now, and was informed that I can't pee until the dr sees me. Boy do I have to pee! Doesn't seem to be a very professional operation. The doctor was decent but his office staff (especially receptionist) was beyond abysmal. On a Monday morning I called for an appointment. After waiting on hold for 20+ minutes to make that appointment (cell phones keep record of call time), they hung up on me. I called back and pressed 0 for the operator. Marie answered the phone and said I would have to go back in the queue. I had already been on hold for 20 minutes before they hung up on me to which she replied "I didn't hang up on you". I said "Do you work for this company? Then you hung up on me". She replied sarcastically "whatever". I was completely taken aback. What in the world? I thought, there is no way, with all the doctors in this area, that I would ever want to go back to a place that treats their patients like this.
