My daughter has a head injury because she got into a motorcycle accident couple months ago and…read morecan't really play sports or get hit in the head but is doing better. I told the principal about it and she's like "oh okay we'll try not to let anything happen." So i'm like great I don't have to worry about her going to school that much. She told me that they didn't let her go to recess but stay in the lunch room with the 8th graders and some of her friends which she says is really boring. So i'm like okay let me just talk to the principal to let her go to recess. So the principal barely let but let her stay in a certain area which is away from all the balls and stuff. So it was great. But that's when things started to get worse. My daughter kept complaining to me that they won't let her go past the area and even had to put cones. And if she would go past a little foot, they would put the cones even closer so she would have much of a small area. And she kept on accidentally going past a little because she wasn't paying attention that they made her sit in the lunch and even gave her a referall. That's when I asked them to let her go out to recess and even went to my daughters doctor to write a note that my daughter could be around recess and balls but not play huge sports. And I gave the note to my daughter so she could give it to the principal and the school nurse. But they just ignored it and still didn't let her. Like what the heck my daughter works for eight hours straight each day and even at home and they can't even give her a 15 minute recess break?! Each day I Kept asking them to let her but they won't like seriously? Now it's summer break and i'm happy that she doesn't have to sit in class 8 hours and can't have a 15 minute break. I'm so mad at the school i'm not letting her go next year. Oh and one more thing, my daughter's friend also had an accident and her head hurts and the school doesn't even care even though her parents told the principal about it. Such a bad school. :(

I love this preschool! My son just finished going here and he loved it. It was a really good…read morelearning experience for us as a family. The teacher is wonderful. It's in a historic house in the middle of old Battle Ground which really lends itself to play based learning. The kids don't seem like they are in a classroom setting. They do learn standard preschool academics here but the focus is on social and emotional growth and support and play based learning. My husband and I took turns going to the parent classes lead by the preschool teacher and I truly don't think any one thing has helped our family out more. We are better parents for it. As a co-op you learn and work alongside other families so you can really find a wonderful community here. I really can't recommend this school enough!

My student worked very hard under my supervision to complete their homework early, yet the teacher…read morestill gave them an F. If you complete class work, you should at least get a D, in my opinion. I reached out to the teacher about this via email, but never even got a response. As a result, we pulled our student out of Tukes Valley, and they now attend a different school district. If your student attends Tukes Valley, RUN! The staff is good, but some of the teachers are truly, truly rotten.
