I've cooperated with other mortgage brokers as well, but North Star Funding performs just on another level! Being Self Employed they're made some impossible deals for me possible and I'm really thankful to have them at my aid. Keep up the phenomenal work guys and I hope this coming fall we can close out another transaction.

WOW, please do not give this place your information or business. We submitted an application to…read moreNorthstar Funding last year but went with another company in the end. Today they contacted us saying a new application had been submitted this morning (including sensitive details, our SSN, etc.). We asked the rep to verify that the application had been submitted today and they confirmed but were going to double check with IT. Thinking we were victims of identity theft, we contacted all our financial intuitions, submitted a report to the FTC, only to find out that it was a complete error by Northstar Funding's reps. Reckless practices, slow follow up time, please don't give them your info. UPDATE: After reading this review, the company responded by saying "Your application was unfinished in the system since you never checked Submit. Therefore nothing was done. The system pushed the incomplete application today and we contacted you. Sorry, we reached out to you after you never hit submit on your initial application. Had you never filled out an incomplete application we would not have contacted you." My response: Three months ago, I was in the market for a mortgage, and I'm sure glad I didn't go with your business. Is your response to your error that I shouldn't have filled out an application three months ago? Are you blaming ME for your company mistaking this for a brand new application today? Your employee contacted me and said with certainty that someone used my SSN on your website today. "Had you never filled out an incomplete application we would not have contacted you" - Yikes. What a weird response.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Todd and his team as first-time home buyers, and…read morethey all did a phenomenal job. We originally discovered Todd through Yelp and decided to give him a call, he was readily available to answer all our questions and get the process started. Once all our paperwork was submitted, he was able to get our preapproval quickly, little did we know we would be on a lock down due to the pandemic shortly after. Fortunately, Todd was understanding and had patience with us during this crazy time. Once things got a little less hectic, we were able to pick back up where we left off. He took the time to explain our loan options on multiple occasions and was ALWAYS available to answer all our questions. Todd put a lot of hard work and dedication into getting us the right loan that worked for us, all while keeping our best interest in mind. He was able to provide us with an FHA option as well as a conventional. We decided on the FHA since it made more financial sense for our situation. We were made aware by our realtor that the process for an FHA loan can take longer than others, but with the dedication of Todd and his team we were cleared for our FHA purchase in only 11 days!!! The seller really wanted to close by a certain date which seemed impossible at first, but Todd pulled through and made it happen. He communicated very well with our realtor and attorney throughout the process, everyone worked great together overall as a team. Being a first time home buyer can be both stressful and scary, we had a million and one questions, we would call the office throughout the day, as the phone would ring on my end I would think to myself "they probably think we are so annoying", but once they answered the phone they were very patient and tentative and made us feel extremely comfortable no matter how many times we had to call them. In conclusion, Todd took a major weight off our shoulders by guiding us throughout this entire process. I would highly recommend Todd and his team to anyone looking for a mortgage loan. His services are outstanding, and we will forever be thankful for all their dedication to get us into our first home!!!

As a realtor, great experience working with Todd at Brighwire on a few transactions. Always a…read morebreeze getting right to the closing table!

Especially the townhomes that are being put up now (6/3/21), that are closer to Fair Lawn Ave and the site of the old Topps Cleaners. Google "TOPPS Cleaners and Daly Field". Topps Cleaners used those grounds for dumping Perchloroethylene for decades. Do your own research, it's out there! There was no proper EPA clean up. At the beginning of breaking ground at the LANDMARK development, local homeowners received a letter in the mail about toxic plumes (vapor intrusion) that would be emitted into the air & homes from unsettling of the land. They were offered a filter to put in the home. Who knows what air and groundwater was affected from the digging up of this soil? They certainly aren't going to tell you the worst of it! Residents were fighting building on what was called DALY FIELD since 2003...and for good reason. (https://patch.com/new-jersey/fairlawn-saddlebrook/controversial-daly-field-development-reluctantly-approved) The only reason the Landmark group got it passed was that they argued that Fair Lawn didn't have enough low-income housing and "Landmark successfully argued in court that the development, 20 percent of which will consist of affordable housing units, would help Fair Lawn meet its state affordable housing requirements" (https://patch.com/new-jersey/fairlawn-saddlebrook/final-approval-for-revised-daly-field-development) With all the cancer rates so high in NJ, it's hard to imagine wanting to pay $550,000+ to be in the center of it.
