Information was in depth, but not overwhelming and serious content was combined with lighter topics to keep mood of the class up. I hope to take the class again when this one expires.

I've been to ArtHouse Mosaic Studio twice -…read more 1) to learn mosaic skills under Nancy's tutelage 2) as the sign language interpreter for a group of 6 deaf women, with Malika as their instructor. Both times, I was impressed with how relaxing it is to be around these women, something I feel certain is of benefit to those attempting the creative process. The way that Malika handled the 7 of us! - with multiple conversations going on simultaneously, arms flying everywhere - was spectacular. She was focused, patient, and gave flawless design suggestions for those who asked for them. One of the women took a really long time to decide what her project would be, changing her mind several times. This, and the fact that the women had to stop their work every time they spoke to the instructor or to one of their friends - caused our class to go quite a bit overtime. Again, Malika was graciousness incarnate. I've heard wonderful things about the 3rd business partner, Sherri. I'm sure she's a delight, as well. Next time you're looking to give an unusual gift or would like to exercise your creativity, give them a call!

They're gonna try to detangle it, however ... I think its a lost cause. Its so brittle and as hard as Kate and I tried to undo the mess, it just kept getting worse. Wish we had a beauty college at the Beach ... in the meantime, I'm glad Longview has one, they are usually fast and efficient. They seem to cater to Seniors and caregivers, their attitude towards them was great. And the people just keep coming
