I talked to my aunt tonight, she walks the Columbia Mall almost daily, and I felt everyone should know this. Since it opened back up due to Covid-19, I thought the reason for their shorter hours is so they could clean and sanitize. She said there was a pile of dirt that was on the floor for SEVERAL days, then coke on the floor that made her tennis shoe stick to the floor. Then she went to the bathroom and one of the custodian's dressed in her uniform came out of the stall, and didn't even wash her hands. Not where I want to shop if their employees can't even wash there hands. Just wanted everyone to know for their health and safety. read more

The store "Handbags & More" isn't listed on yelp but I want to post our experience since it was fabulous. I entered the store asking if they had a certain type of purse and the man showed me various choices of cross-over shoulder purses. Although he only had one conservative classy one the rest were the kind with goddy bling on them and even tho he couldn't give me any deal he was so kind and attentive. And after looking for this style of purse for as long as I did $34.99 wasn't a terrible deal. read more

The mall is quite impressive for a smaller city to have. It is a great place to hang out and I saw a lot of youths there enjoying a safe space for them to hang out. It was clean, organized, safe, and full of stores for every shopper! My favorite part was a new arcade called Level Up, it was affordable and a great place for kids, teens, and adults to play at. read more

Compared to The great Capitol Mall of Jefferson City, this is a heaven. Sure its not the malls in big cities, but it works for the city it's in (Columbia). It has a lot more stores than most other malls have (in small cities anyway.) The Target is great and huge, there's a nice sized food court and there's plenty of stores to keep you entertained for a few hours. My favorite memory of Columbia Mall is heading out here Christmas Eve and doing all my shopping while the mall is closing. read more

You may find what you need at the Columbia Mall, or you may not. It's a hit or miss situation. There isn't too much selection for clothing, and many of the more fashionable clothing stores have turned into outlet stores. Food court has dwindled into just a few options, just enough to keep you coming back. Target, Dillard's, JC Penney's are their major department stores that are the head of each wing of the mall. read more

Excellent place to walk in the mornings! The facility opens at 6 AM therefore you have four hours until all the stores are open. FYI- Target and Panera's both open earlier. Once around, going down each wing/hall is about 3/4 of a mile. The earlier the better works for me as there are less walkers. read more

During a recent trip to Columbia, I forgot to pack a jacket. It was pretty cold and our hotel was across the street, so I walked over to the mall and bought a jacket from Dillard's. This is your typical mall but for many in Missouri its the mall to go to when you live in a small town and this is the biggest town by you. Personally I've been going to Columbia for years for different things and this mall always seems to have what I need when I go there. I'm a fan of Target and Barnes & Noble and I love how both are connected as stores in there. The place seems so friendly with the carousel and the many lights that make it a welcoming place. read more

The Columbia Mall is nothing special. Maybe for the suburbs but it's a pretty standard shopping outlet. They have H&M, American Eagle, Eddie Bauer, Express, GameStop, GNC, Barnes N Noble, LOFT and a Target attached. Parking is pretty easy as there's a very large parking lot and all the stores are on a single level. I was able to get in and out quickly. read more

Small, but adequate for Columbia. I went there around 7 pm & found that some of the stores closed early even though the mall closed at 9 pm. Definitely had some unique stores like the Asia Store. We have been to this mall twice now on our frequent trips to Columbia and we love going here. The mall is always clean and there are plenty of stores in the mall that my tween children love to go into. Their Barnes and Noble store is pretty big and they have a huge Target in their mall too! read more

I usually have a great time at the mall, but the security was extremely rude to my friend and I based upon an unfair bias. Apparently teens have been stealing as of late, so a guard decided to follow us into a store and harrass my friend, a closeted trans girl, for being in the women's fitting room with me, a trans male. It was extremely rude, but that does not reflect the mall as a whole. read more

I've been to many upperclass malls and Columbia mall isn't as nice as them. The Columbia mall isn't two stories, it's outdated, not super big, and not as many store selections as other malls. This mall is perfect for Columbia and surrounding areas!Maybe if Columbia grows the Columbia Mall will get bigger and better! read more

I liked this mall, especially their large and empty H&M store which made it perfect for leisurely hassle free shopping. I'm used to the H&M in Kansas City that is teeming with people from open to close so this was nice. Good LOFT and Eddie Bauer stores too, and an entrance to Target from inside the mall proper which is pretty convenient. Columbia Mall has all of the usual suspects when it comes to stores (but nothing outstanding or different) and a limited (mostly fast food chains) food court. It is not a particularly large mall in my opinion. It seems like it may be on its way down because I visited during Memorial Day weekend on a Saturday evening and everything was very quiet. There's a lovely carousel adjacent to the food court. There is a fee but I'm not sure how steep as I wasn't visiting with children. read more

This is a typical mall. A little out-dated, but it has all the necessary stores. The attached Barnes and Noble, attached Target and food court maybe make it a little better than if those chains were absent. (Although I am not terribly crazy about this particular B & N) It has LOTS of kiosks for sunglasses, cell phone accessories and cheesy nick-knacks. Parking is OK, limited entrances and exits to the parking lots make it a bit tough to get to, but being close to I-70is always a bonus. read more

Mall has your typical mall stores! Nothing extravagant by any means. One story, kinda old mall with an ok food court. Nothing stands out about this mall , other then the carousel in the food court for the kids. I do like the fact that Barnes and Nobel is attached , but the fact that a TarrrGett (Target) lol is attached to be rather odd and somewhat representative of the Mid-west. The mall always seems to be clean restrooms always need closer attention. All the stores are easy access from all areas. The kids love the carousel at the main entrance. There are also plenty of choices for food in the food court. read more

A sad, sad, little mall. Not many shops I wanted to go in, but at least there was a Target and a food court. I went to get a raspberry lemonade at some food court philly cheesesteak place. While one of the young workers filled up my cup, another one behind the counter asked slowly, "So... how's your day at the Columbiaaa Maaalll going?" His face was covered with acne and he didn't make direct eye contact with me. I told him it was going pretty well and that it was my first time visiting this mall. He asked me where I was from. When I told him L.A. his face dropped. "Oh. Then this must not be very exciting for you." The other kid came back with my lemonade. I held out my credit card. He shook his head and waved his hand away from the card. "Are you sure?" I said and poked my credit card back in his direction. "Too many buttons to push. I'm too lazy." Columbia Mall is definitely lacking. Over the past few years several stores have moved out and in there place cell phone stores and janky trinket shops have moved in. Every time a store moves out I cross my fingers for something fun to move in and am usually disappointed. On the plus side, there is a decent JCPenney and a few good kids stores like Gymboree, TCP and Crazy 8 (coming soon) Dillard's was upgraded in 2009 and it seems to be a good place for shoes and accessories. I am surprised that the mall hasn't tried to lure Urban Outfitters, Forever 21 or H&M into an empty spot. And I would love to see Dillard's get a MAC and Chanel counter. A Sephora would be a hit as well. read more

Honestly, don't come here expecting a big mall. If you do, you'll be sorely disappointed. Pretty much has all the mall basics and not much more. Could use a slightly better selection of stores but there's not too much to complain about. Not too much to rave about either. read more

Nice Mall... But the number of upscale teen clothing stores is a little bit on the low side. Only stores I could really go to are AandF, AEO, and HCO. Gap? Maybe. I do love the massive shoe store. read more
