Went in Friday afternoon, not sure exactly what I even wanted, other than a comfortable supportive shoe. The staff member who assisted me was so friendly and helpful. I ended up with a pair of Dansko's which feel Amazing. They have such a huge selection of options, and but the staff has a lot of knowledge and expertise about the shoes to help narrow down preferences, if you're undecided like me! Employees here are either classist or completely uneducated in customer service. When walking into this establishment, employees will blankly stare you up and down then walk away? I would have given a 5 star rating for good quality and selection of shoes, however, I had an UNCOMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE exchanging a pair of clearance shoes for store credit. While I was told when I called that I could do this, when I got to the store I was told that I could only get the same shoe in a different size. I would have gladly put the credit towards a different shoe and paid extra but was not given the choice. Somehow I felt reprimanded. Loosen up on the return policy. read more

I honestly didn't know that shoe stores like this still existed. It is a family owned business and it shows. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I found exactly what I was looking for which were pair of shoes and I can wear during my 12 hour shifts at the hospital that would provide the proper support (danskin xp's). Dryers is my favorite shoe store in town. They focus on European brands or European styled shoes that focus on comfort and quality. The staff is very helpful, but never "in your face" at all. They have a great selection of styles, colors, and carry men, women and kids shoes. Everything I've bought there has been high quality and I've been very pleased. The only downside is that everything is really pretty pricey. Not that it is overpriced, but there are no discount shoes here. You should expect to pay $50-$200 for a pair of shoes, but they will be GOOD shoes that fit right, feel great, and look good. read more

I went to Dryer Shoe Store in Columbia, MO, the other day because I needed new dress shoes for work, and I decided that it was worth paying for quality shoes since I'm on my feet a lot at my job. The staff member that helped me was really attentive and helpful, and she showed me several styles and then went to the back of the store to pull my size for several different shoes so I could try them on. I ended up finding the perfect shoe (good arch support, comfortable, dressy), but I had to place an order since they didn't have my size (9 1/2) in stock. A lot of the shoes here are a little on the expensive side (mine were $130), but they seem to be good quality, and the staff were knowledgeable about shoe design and pleasant to work with.
