No structure, no technical training as we would expect. The teacher wanted her to do a recital and the teacher would play the background music. My daughter was nervous but we built up the courage to do it. After weeks of practicing we all got dressed up and went today. Upon arrival my daughter was told her teacher did not come and she would have no support or background music. My daughter bravely stood up in front of the crowd and sang the song with complete silence / no music, which was quite heartbreaking to watch, than preceded to cry the whole way home embarrassed. To top it off she was not offered the pin that all the other teachers gave there students. I can't recommend this school. The seem more interested in the recurring revenue of tuition than developing individual talents of the students.

To preface, I think if I had reviewed School of Rock when I was still attending the school, my…read morerating would have been higher, but looking back on my experiences there I've found that it fostered a toxic environment. If you're looking to learn an instrument, it's great, but the social aspect is not well managed. Students who did not put school of rock first (over regular school, other activities, and jobs) were not respected by instructors, even though this should have been a fun extra curricular. I found in my personal experiences, staff being rude over missed rehearsals due to illness (pre-covid), lack of respect for seasons off, and an overall disappointing attitude when it came to high schoolers not putting music first (even when it was just an after school activity). The staff frequently became closer with students (showing, at times, blatant favoritism), and instead of instructing them and being the adults to look up to, became involved in petty drama of teenagers - even taking sides if their "star student" was showing less than admirable behavior towards other students. It could have been a fantastic after school experience- and it certainly had its positives, but as long as the school continues to operate the way it does, I would be remiss to recommend the Littleton school. I did have fun at the shows and learned instruments - but I can't say it was worth the experience I had with the instructors at this particular location.

The conductor has made participating in the Arapahoe Philharmonic an incredibly harsh environment…read more He thinks he's hot stuff and has implemented unfair and unreasonable practices, resulting in a large number of musicians leaving to join other orchestras in the area. If you are considering attending a concert put on by this group, please consider supporting one of the many other wonderful local orchestras in the region. This group/conductor does not deserve your support. They recently rebranded to "Symphony of the Rockies" to try to save face, so watch out. Just Google search "Arapahoe Philharmonic" and you'll see a number of articles describing exactly the situation I'm talking about.

This little theater is very intimate. There are 260 seats and they are pretty close together. The…read moreends of the rows angle toward the stage while the seats next to them face forward. That creates a very small space for the people next to each other to put their legs. I was in seat C13, hubby was in C12 and the 6ft. tall lady in C11 had to vie for leg room. I believe the seats are original to the theater. My seat was lumpy and not at all comfortable. It was directly behind the seat in front of me so I had to lean to the side to see the stage. That said, the building has a very interesting history. It was originally built in the 1920's as the Town Hall for Littleton. A fire truck was kept in what's now the lobby and there was a jail in the basement. The whole building has a historical feel. The staff was friendly and welcoming and their production of Avenue Q was excellent. Parking is along Main Street which could be a challenge so I recommend arriving early.

I bought the tickets and knew that there wouldn't be a bad seat in the place, but with it being my favorite play, I chose the front row. The refreshments sold are of a wonderful variety and the canned bloody mary was delicious! I do wish they had cup holders simply because I'm accient prone. I would love to see another play here soon!
