After a lot of research I applied for collegiate and we were accepted. Before enroll jefco even notified my Megan was contacting me to guide me, answer questions, be of any assistance and set up a walk-through to check out the school. During the enrollment process she checked in and updated me frequently. At registration completion they had everything organized and the entire staff was helpful, friendly and welcoming. Another reason I was interested in this school is the class sizes, they are small allowing note attention to my childs learning with the teachers not having to focus on 16 students at a time. My son loses interest quickly if he isnt involved or doesnt feel included so I look forward to the advancements he will make with his teacher and 8-11 fellow classmates. Im grateful to be apart of this community so far and having my son in a school I feel comfortable with leaving him at during the day was my main priority. In my opinion, it was a great fit for him after having had multiple life changes over the previous few years. (divorce, multiple moves, so on) The small class sizes here allow teachers to gain a perspective on students that a typical classroom, quite simply, probably wouldn't allow. I thoroughly appreciated the insights teachers provided during P/T conferences. They gave not only academic but social insights into my son's life that I would not have otherwise had. (Don't tell him I said that ) Having said all of that, he decided to go to elsewhere for his high school years. Whether or not it's a good decision for him remains to be seen. In any case, I would urge parents (and their students!) to consider Collegiate Academy. As parents we must help our kids decide what is best for them at a given time. The beauty of Jeffco is this ability to have options. We haven't had this option presented so cleanly to us in any other school system. Please check them out.

You do have to find your people, but everyone have been supportive and very kind. As parents we've been extremely happy with how the teachers are shaping our kid. Her teacher is extremely invested, knowledgeable, kind, aware, and devoted to my daughter and her classmates. The principal, while new at GR this year, has decades of genuine experience in Denver schools, and has already created a super productive and lively culture. My husband, son and I have joined our daughter at school for multiple events so far this fall, and everyone on campus has been incredibly welcoming and pleasant in their exchanges. Also, our daughter's academic situation has improved by very obvious and measurable amounts. Our son looks forward to starting kindergarten next year, and we plan on making Grant Ranch our permanent home as long as we live in the neighborhood!!

The process after this was also terrible. They were not apologetic and didn't seem to care. I vetted many daycares and was looking very early and they pretty much stole that experience from us and left us without childcare last minute . They don't seem to know when they have space! I would not trust it! Even after they said it was because of another baby joining first (which still wouldn't make sense because they gave us an official date) then later said that baby isn't attending but still no space. I noticed one other review like this... also a family of color ...

My review is based solely on the tour and how it was handled and NOT based off of any care that my…read morechild received. I went online to speak to a representative and schedule a tour with Coal Mine Kindercare. The representative was wonderful and helpful and promptly scheduled my tour for a Thursday at 5 PM. Shortly after scheduling the tour, I recieved a voicemail from Brooke asking if she could reschedule for an earlier time. I returned her call around 5:30 PM the same day and explained to her the reason why we scheduled the tour for when we did. My husband and I work half an hour in opposite directions and he does not get off work until 4:30 PM, therefore the earliest we could do was 5. Brooke stated she was not able to give tours after 4 PM because she was helping out in classrooms and asked if a lunch time tour would work. I again stated that we worked half an hour away from the center and we would have to take a half day off of work just to come and tour, so no that wouldn't work. She again asked if a lunch time tour was acceptable, and I finally told her we would not be touring at all. Instead of trying to get my business, she simply said she was sorry she couldn't do night tours and hung up the phone. If an establishment is unwilling to work with future parents who have normal work schedules and are unable to take time off for a mid day tour, why would I want to give them my business and trust my infant with them? The Goddard School allows drop in tours at any hour and Primrose was more than accommodating of a night tour. They have my business.
