Before enroll jefco even notified my Megan was contacting me to guide me, answer questions, be of any assistance and set up a walk-through to check out the school. During the enrollment process she checked in and updated me frequently. At registration completion they had everything organized and the entire staff was helpful, friendly and welcoming. Another reason I was interested in this school is the class sizes, they are small allowing note attention to my childs learning with the teachers not having to focus on 16 students at a time. My son loses interest quickly if he isnt involved or doesnt feel included so I look forward to the advancements he will make with his teacher and 8-11 fellow classmates. Im grateful to be apart of this community so far and having my son in a school I feel comfortable with leaving him at during the day was my main priority. In my opinion, it was a great fit for him after having had multiple life changes over the previous few years. (divorce, multiple moves, so on) The small class sizes here allow teachers to gain a perspective on students that a typical classroom, quite simply, probably wouldn't allow. I thoroughly appreciated the insights teachers provided during P/T conferences. They gave not only academic but social insights into my son's life that I would not have otherwise had. (Don't tell him I said that ) Having said all of that, he decided to go to elsewhere for his high school years. Whether or not it's a good decision for him remains to be seen. In any case, I would urge parents (and their students!) to consider Collegiate Academy. As parents we must help our kids decide what is best for them at a given time. The beauty of Jeffco is this ability to have options. We haven't had this option presented so cleanly to us in any other school system. Please check them out.

But the majority is not helpful, vulgar, and not worth my time. When I first went there, The school looked and seemed alright, by seventh grade, I knew i made the wrong choice. Counselors (Hosteler) are only there to get paid, and pick sides with students issues. They literally don´t care. Deer creek middle school is much better and will take care of your students. Plus, in Math, Science and English, they are some of the worst growth rates (dropping immensely from 2017) with everything under the 45th percentile. That is saying something.

It would be difficult for a principal not to guide this school to great scores. The two stars are because the intermediate (grades 4-6) underachieves in its behavioral expectations. It's ironic that the school administration prides itself on its great scores but doesn't honor the students who achieve them. Rather, it's the top athletes and popular kids who rule the roost and the bookish, kind children who are pushed aside. Even worse, those who bully are not held accountable by the principal. We've seen multiple instances of this. We know families who have left the school, who have stopped using the bus and who have turned to home schooling because their children were bullied at Bradford and the principal didn't manage the situation to avoid recurrence. If you send your child here, he or she will be well educated. However, there's an excellent chance they will be put down or teased by bullies and you won't get anywhere with the principal to stop it. PS. The primary school (grades 1-3) is the opposite and is good academically as well as behaviorally.

The Full day kindergarten is free which is why I wanted to go there in the first place and after that year we definitely wanted to stay. There is really so much I can say about this school!!…read more Everyone is amazing! They treat you as family and welcome you with open arms. The learning and lessons are so fun and my kids really enjoy their days. The teachers learning plans keep the kids busy but also not focused on one thing for too long that they lose focus. The summer camp is seriously so much fun! Even through all of this new 'normal' stuff they have done a fabulous job keeping everyone safe, in the know, and putting their students/families and staff first. I would highly recommend this school to everyone!
