Our family has been a part of CCS since the fall of 2019 when we enrolled our then 3 year old. We now have both of our children as active students in the school. We have always felt like we were dropping our children off at a second home when sending them to school. Multiple staff members will nurture your children - from office staff, to cafeteria staff, to custodial staff, and of course all of the teaching staff. When our children are down, they offer support and prayer. When our children are succeeding, they are celebrating successes alongside us. The athletic department is top notch and ccs offers an array of sports to all who are interested in participating. Ccs holds chapel every Wednesday morning, bringing in various speakers and music to meet the students where they are individually. If you ever consider sending your children, I strongly suggest you reach out to the school office to schedule a tour. Also spend time with families that are actively enrolled so that they can share their real life experiences with you. We won't send our children anywhere else! read more

After moving to Columbus and attending one of the public schools, our three children were transitioned to Columbus Christian School. It was so easy to switch and the staff addressed our concerns. All three kids adapted well to the new environment. The small class sizes helps with concentration, friendships, and so much more. Sports and field trips are so much fun for everyone. CCS has been the best decision we have made for our family. We have 6 kids and all attend Columbus Christian. We enjoy the ability to have direct contact with teachers and that they each know our children on a personal level. Our kids are able to thrive in the environment that CCS provides. We also like that as parents we are able to spend time with our kids and their friends through extracurricular activities and in class events. I attended Columbus Christian School for 3 years and it was the worst decision of my life. I constantly got made fun of and bullied, although I was too shy to tell people. I sooner or later made the best decision of my entire life and left me sophomore year. I recently graduated and I still think about how awful the school was. I'm so happy I got out of that toxic environment while I could. I would never consider sending my future children there. read more

Do not enroll your children at this school. I attended Columbus Christian School for many years of my life and deeply regret staying for as long as I did. I have never experienced a more unwelcoming, critical, and toxic environment in my entire life-- let alone one focusing on the education of children. Teachers and staff are hostile and rude; they make it clear they do not respect any of the students and frequently dismiss genuine concerns, even ones made by parents. They play favorites and make it obvious if you are not one of them. For example, many often yell and berate entire classes for a simple mistake or the behavior of one singular student. This was so frequent and normalized, it took me years to realize that was not standard nor acceptable behavior from adults in charge of young children. Despite being such a small environment, bullying and harassment between students is extremely common. Neither of these are properly addressed nor handled correctly by any member with the authority to do so. I would even go as far as to say this harmful behavior is encouraged. The constant negative environment I was subjected to for the majority of my life has left me deeply traumatized. Switching to a public school was the best decision I could have ever made, and I'm forever grateful they accepted me with open arms, unlike CCS. read more

My son has flourished here! Despite this year being so different with Covid his teacher Mrs. Bond goes above and behind to help. His peers are also a large reason he is doing so well. The love of Christ is modeled for them everyday and you can tell in their interactions. He loves school and we are so blessed to have found Columbus Christian. read more

I went to school here for 3 years, the whole time I was bullied. I told the teachers and school counsel and they didn't care. All the teachers have Favorites, I was never one of the favorite. When I went to the school counsel and asked for help. She sat me down with my bully, proceeds to tell me how I was bullying her. My parents are divorced so the school counsel would bring that up all the time and blame my " bullying" on that. I was always look down upon because my parents are divorced. CCS is also super sexiest, there was one time I was told to sit there and look pretty. Well the boys were moving book to another room. They have a very strict dress code for girls, I had to bent over in front of the whole class because I was wearing leggings. CCS is also the most homophobia place on Gods green earth. They are not welcoming to anyone in the LGBTQ+ community even if you are a Christian. They sat all the middle schools down to have a talk about homosexuality and how bad it is. What I learned their was you are going to burn in hell no matter hard you try. I would not send your kid/teen if they have ADHD, Learn disorder, or Autism, or any mental health issues. I have a learn disorder and had F's all year.Because the teachers refused to help me, Now I have all A's. As you can tell I could talk about my trauma all day. I'M TELLING YOU DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE. CCS comes up in every therapy session I have had Since I have been there. CCS has sent me farther away from God, I was always told I was not good enough because of who I was. read more

I graduated from Columbus Christian after wasting several years here. Many of the teachers are unqualified to teach. The teachers and administrators all have favorites and make it very clear to you if you are not one of them. If you're one of the favorites, you're given more chances to do well at the school than others. My junior year, I had two Bible teachers who were teaching conflicting messages. Instead of being respectful to their homosexual students, they attempt to force them to change. I don't agree with homosexuality, but those students still deserve respect and love. The actions of the school drive those students away from God instead of towards Him. I would not recommend this school. I'd suggest going to any public school and joining a Bible study instead. They delete all their bad reviews so I doubt you'll see this anyways. read more

I'm giving CCS 2 stars. The teaching staff could have been a better. The teachers all have favorites and treat them differently than they do all the kids. Not to mention that the older kids act like they are better than everyone, bullying goes on 24/7 and the staff does nothing about it, kids threaten suicide and teachers just discuss with them how prayer is going to fix everything, etc. I could have a way better experience with this school but unfortunately didn't. I'm giving CCS a 5 star review but probably for a much different reason than most. My children were in the public school and doing exceptionally well, except for one. Although they were all thriving academically, one of my kiddos has Aspergers Syndrome and was having a difficult time with sensory overload. The public school was amazing about how they put together a plan to work with his accommodations and they monitored him very well. But a mama knows her chick's heart better than anyone. My little guy was struggling inside. I could not afford to send my kids to a private school so I looked into homeschooling. There are some amazing homeschooling communities in Col. but deep in my heart, I knew this was not our solution. I took it to prayer and decided to check out the private schools because if it was meant to be, God would provide. In the end, we chose to send our child to CCS because it goes all the way to highschool. Our child would need routine and familiarity and this would work. Now, here's why I give the school a 5 star: God is breathed into my children every single day. They have Bible class every day, the curriculum points to God, the teacher's pray with them, & they have chapel once a week. And my favorite, when there's a disciplinary matter, they bring it back to God. We saw such a huge change in our child. He actually felt good about himself for the very first time because he was now surrounded by peers and staff who are reminded every day that they are each unique creations of God. All our children now attend CCS, at their pleading. We prayed together for God to provide and he has. CCS is not a perfect school. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the public schools have. But it does have something far more powerful...God. I sat through an upper grade chapel service in tears. They do not sugar-coat anything at this school. These kids are not in a bubble nor are they sheltered. They present life right in front of them and show them how God is in it. I never had that when I was in school. I had band, sports, activities that this school does not offer but in the end, my heart needed what these kids are getting...the Truth! read more
