We have been taking lessons from Columbus Dance Center for going on six years now. We started private lessons as a couple and then I decided I wanted to have private lessons on my own without my husband as well. My husband and I now do our lesson and I have a separate one on a different day. I was so uncoordinated when we started lessons and thought I couldn't learn to dance. I was completely wrong. I even got the courage up to try a pro/am dance competition. Dancing is now a part of my life. I am very dissatisfied with Columbus Dance Centre's Services. I took classes here as a kid and was looking forward to coming back as an adult for the burlesque class. I spent all of the money I got for my birthday to attend the class that was scheduled to start in August. I even requested a special accommodation from work to schedule my Wednesday's around the class so I could attend. On the first scheduled class which was in late August, I got a phone call stating the instructor was sick and the class would begin the follow week which was no problem. The following week I received another voice mail advising the instructor had a family emergency so the class would be held off until the next week. And then the next Wednesday I got a voicemail advising the start of the burlesque class was unknown. I Called back requesting to speak with A manager or owner but was not transferred so I asked the employee who answered for a refund. I verified my address and was advised I would get a check in the mail two To three weeks later. lol and behold nothing came in the mail. I called back after waiting and the same lady answered. This was about three weeks ago. I was advised that there was a "dancing in heels class" starting and I Could apply my $85 towards this Class. I had zero interest and insisted I get my refund, as I want to spend my birthday money on something I can Enjoy. She advised she would Process my refund right away. Another three weeks has passed and I still have not been credited. I feel totally ripped off and scammed. They way business is being done is absolutely terrible. I don't appreciate the waste of Time and money. read more

I am a little awkward as a dancer and my now husband is a big former football player with very limited "skills" on the dance floor. So we decided to go to Columbus Dance Center for dance lessons leading up to our first dance at our wedding. What a great experience! We were a little nervous that we would either have really watered down, uninteresting choreography because we are beginners or that they would give us steps that would be too difficult. We were so pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed each of our lessons with Bradley and loved the dance he put together for us. Everyone at the wedding loved our dance and said we hit a home run. Don't use this space as a party venue! Our family rented the space for an event. One of the tables they provided for use was broken and fell over twice when we were setting it up. The representative who was on site stated that all the tables worked. It was obvious that the latch had been repaired prior to our use. When cleaning up, the representative ran back to inspect the table and then stated that we broke her table. She wouldn't let us leave until a new one was purchased despite the fact that we purchased insurance and provided a security deposit. read more

Save your money! The kids hip hop instructor is the ONLY good part about this place! No customer service, 2 weeks until the recital they have no full routine, yet my payment was made every month! They switched instructors with no notice to us a month before "recital". They threw all the kids in one hip hop class so, its a mixture of kids who don't really care and a couple who do, so nnow the "recital" will be a joke! And at 10 -15 dollars a ticket I refuse to go and because this companies lack if organization, my vhild dorsnt even want to go on stage! I am not the only parent who feels this way. This place is a total joke! Sad my child who was obce excited and really wanted to do hip hop classes, now hates it! read more

Had an absolutely wonderful time here taking a salsa dance class with my boyfriend! The instructor was fun, energetic and just the perfect person for the job. The first class is free which was really the cherry on top. We would love to go back and still talk about it! read more

I tried a salsa class. I'm an intermediate dancer; however my partner is a beginner. We had never tried salsa before. The instructor was friendly enough, but it was difficult to learn when we had to keep switching partners. I spent the whole class dancing with other men. Very awkward. She gave no cues to anyone about adding other steps if you've already mastered the 3 she taught. And even my fiancé seemed bored with the same steps. We went home & found a great tutorial on YouTube & danced the night away! We learned 5 x as many steps in the same amount of time as the class. The instructor also stopped the class frequently to make general chatter and to change songs. My suggestion is find a good tutorial & save your money. And yes this place is off the beaten path, but the studio is nice. If you're waiting on a class to start you'll be squished in the front entrance because of limited seating. read more

I am at Columbus dance Centre 2 times per week as Martial Art instructor and I rent space to teach both kids and adults. The owner and the people that work there are the best. They provide great service to all the students and are always professional and curtious to that walks in the door. They have a very family friendly environment and everyone helps each other out. read more
