HOW THEY TREAT SERVICE MEMBERS IN THEIR FAMILY! While we were actively in the ER, I was talking with other families who are dealing with the same issues. So many lies and so much disrespect.) the care quality was absolute shit. The nurse who treated my wife wrapped up her arm so tight she had no pulse. The doctor was completely incompetent and did not care. (to the point where they told us that he got fired.) take that with a grain of salt because everything that they State is a lie. Many months ago, me and my wife went into the ER. We gave them our Tricare Prime insurance card and number. They told us we didn't have any payments due for the ER visit. We called and went in person and talked with at least 10 different people and they all told us the same thing that we were 100% covered and had nothing to worry about. After three or four months after a visit, we received a bill stating that We had 15 days until we were sent to claims. Which is absolutely Absurd! They never sent us any prior bills nor did they tell us that we would be charged. After Even more hours of digging around, we found out what we already knew. That the visit was completely covered by TRICARE west. The company told us that we shouldn't have to worry about any bills coming directly to us and that they should all be sent to them. No payments no deductibles nothing. Let alone them trying to charge us for the entire ER visit. We called the billing department, countless times and wasted so much time on the phone. (Apparently, they only have one person who runs the whole billing department.) Which is absolutely ridiculous to have one Person who's supposed to help cover thousands of claims that come through every month.

They also would yell at us and emotionally abuse us. I developed severe PTSD and trust issues after leaving the facility. I cannot count how many times I was crying and they would lock us in a dark isolated room that they called "The Quiet Room". On top of that, they were convinced I was hurting myself when my roommate scratched me down my arm in the middle of the night, putting me on LOS (Line of Sight) where they watched me 24/7. And I have not been the same since. It's been over a year, and I still need therapy, I also run into problems with relationships, like not being able to communicate, and I'm still trying to tell myself that it IS okay to cry. DO NOT SEND ANYONE HERE! NOT EVEN YOUR WORST ENEMY!! The staff that were awful were Sherilyn and China most of the time which decided to put me on 80mm of a schizophrenic medication at the age of barely 15, which cannot even be diagnosed until mid to late 20's. The business manager commented in the bottom, and me and my mom called the number, and NOBODY has called us back.

The nurse practioner there (pretty blonde, in her 50s) briefly looked towards my groin area, (no exam, didn't even touch me or ask me any questions), and told me I had herpes. I asked her to do a swab or blood test and she refused. Prescribed me Valtrex and sent me on my way. I was DEVASTATED. But since I was a long time ER nurse, things just didn't mesh with standard exam practice for this complaint and so I made an appointment with my primary care. I did start taking the valtrex just in case though. After 12 days it did nothing, still had the same symptoms in fact they'd gotten worse. My PCP gave me a THOROUGH exam and reassured me I did NOT have herpes and it was just a yeast infection. He verified this with a blood test. I had itched so much I caused a small abrasion on my vulva. Please do NOT see this NP. Pick another place. Or see an actual DOCTOR, not a wanna-be one. This women nearly ruined my life, my long time marriage, and my self esteem. PLEASE, if something doesn't feel right, its not. She's a HORRIBLE provider, shitty bedside manner, and obviously doesn't know what she's doing. She made me feel so dirty and ashamed as well. If you can, wait to see your primary care doctor. For your children as well. I wish I still knew her name I would report her to the board of nursing for Oklahoma. If this happened to me, misdiagnosis from her has happened to others as well. On 6/8 @ 4pm, I presented in ER w/tightness in my chest, shortness of breath, nausea, & pain radiating into abdomen & shoulder. IV started (no initial labs drawn- standard protocol to check cardiac enzyme levels oops) Blonde, female MD quickly reviewed my symptoms. No physical exam, no auscultation, palpation or family history regarding cardiac issues taken. I have a STRONG cardiac history in my family. Told her I hadwell controlled hypertension, GERD, & combat PTSD. (Army MSN, CEN, 17 yrs, Level I Trauma, Medevac. 4 combat deployments to Iraq/Afghanistan) Woke up at 8am w/symptoms, waited till 3:30 to come after taking my GERD meds. That id be SO embarrassed if it was just gas. Could I have Simethicone to find out. (Its like Gas-X) She reassured me it would be OK if it was. Bigly, BIGLY LIE. Hooked to monitor, vitals taken. BP very high, alarming I was in a normal sinus rhythm (I asked). 02 satbmonitor with adhesive, wrapped around my finger tightly. 02 was in 90s. Staff left room. Being so nauseous, I vomited on the foor beside gurney. After about 1 hr, An ER tech (still not certain the gender) came in to check monitor alarms. I told her no labs were drawn. She treated me like dog shit & talked to me like I was a 3 yr old. Berating me for puking on floor. "You puke in this, not on floor" an emisis bag. OBVIOUSLY. A patient who complains of nausea is NORMALLY given one. I wasn't. Monitor alarms still constant. O2 sat dropping to low 80s then back up.high BP. NO STAFF FOR 40 MINS. A really short male nurse, sporting an enormous, suffocating, highly compensatory, Napoleonic Ego, arrived. I again requested Simethicone. Easy Peasy. He came back with Morphine & Zofran. Never assessed initial pain level, nor did he return to reassess it. That's Nursing 101 Folks. PAIN IS SUBJECTIVE. Pretty sure that is day one of nursing school. 02 sat to 82. Different tech came in, saw reading, finger monitor firmly in place, I was awake, strong waveform. True reading. I told her no lab draw yet. She reported it to a passing male nurse, who rolled his eyes. Finally a lab draw. Chest X-ray, plain film. Limited views only. 2.5 hrs in ER. Shift change. Monitor alarms still blaring. Blonde female nurse now, NO ASSESSMENT of me at all. (Nursing 101). Asked for Simethicone, still in pain. Morphine didn't work. My Symptoms were exactly the same. Came back with Mylanta. SOME Mylanta formulas contain simethicone. Hopefully this one did. Her attitude & treatment of me progressed to "snotty-Im-better-than-you" sarcasm. Super bitchy report that my cardiac workup was normal, cardiac enzymes fine. I was being discharged. But I still had same symptoms. A plain chest X-ray wouldn't show gallbladder issues or an Abdominal Aortic aneurysm. I needed a CT. She rolled her eyes & left. (She's the type of RN that gossips about the nurse that just left the nurses station. She's the reason for NOT becoming a nurse, & the type of RN that made me ok w/ changing careers. SUPER BITCH). Then Dr. Dickhead came in, repeated the findings. ALL STRUCTURES NORMAL ON XRAY (plain films don't show all structures btw) " Troponin came back okay 3x." (Yet only ONE lab draw. Standard is one an hour, then every 4) BLATANT LIE. Refused any further workup. LUCAS MARIN-SALCEDO, DO. Blonde Bitchy RN Didn't review d/c instructions. Why no CT of abdomen to rule out AAA or Gallbladder issues? Those could cause my symptoms. She said security would escort me out if I kept talking to her like that. okayyy tough guy. BLATANT EMTALA VIOLATION TO D/C A PT IN ACTIVE PAIN WITH SOB! RN supervisor refused to give me any names of staff, or hospital policy that prevents her to. TOTAL BITCH TOO. No call back from Pt Advocate. SHOCKER! MY OKC VA DIAGNOSIS- Acute Cholecystitis. Surgery pending. LAWSUIT INBOUND. I also know why I was treated poorly. Buckle Up, this could get rocky. Thought I'd give a recent review…read more I'm a guy who's dealt with chronic pain during the past 15 years of active duty service. As you can imagine from moving every two to three years, I'm forced to start from scratch at a new pain management clinic all the time and let me tell you, it's a hassle. That wasn't case when I first visited this office. Dr. Shadid and his staff were great. I never felt rushed during our conversations and more so, I never felt judged. Yeah, a lot of pain management and regular providers tend to quickly assume their patents have the worst of intentions. I get it. A lot of people visit these clinics for the wrong reasons. I am, however, not one of them. I've had a couple of procedures so far and I'll continue to see him for future procedures. The injections and blocks have been fairly pain and stress free. That's the key. Not only less pain when trying to actually treat pain, but little to no stress. When you're getting an injection or having any procedure for pain management that causes you more pain during the process, your stress levels increase exponentially. Again, I don't dread visiting Dr. Shadid and his team because it's a very pleasant experience. The office building seems out of place and at first glance and the facade has you questioning if you want to step inside the building. Worry not. It is a clean, professional, and relaxing environment. Don't get scared off when you're looking at the front of the building. The front receptionists are great and pleasant, the RNs/techs are proficient, and Dr. Shadid is well-versed. The only reason I didn't give it a complete 5-star is the fact that the facade looks a bit sketch and they the website could use a serious upgrade - it doesn't represent their professionalism. However, that's minutia compared to the service you get.
