FIL was in and out between CCMH, home, and Nursing Home. Multiple times the discharge was handled poorly, like not providing discharge instructions or making sure meds were available after hours. To top it all off, because they coded their billing wrong to insurance, they send my widowed MIL a bill for close to 50k for charges that should have been handled by insurance had they coded correctly. Go anywhere but here if at all possible. Exam was in the hall way (what hapened to HIPPA) and waited six hours for results which were verbally stated but no verification by test results. 50 hours later, the doctors had not signed the reports so my PCP and others could not get the results. i was told to follow up in 48 hours with specialist but they hadn't signed the paperwork so specialist could not see me. My rate is 0 start ! I had a horrible experience with comanche county memorial hospital. I'm a first time mom and yes I worry for my baby's health. I took him yesterday to emergency because he has congestion and a cough for 3 days straight , they didn't run any test on him and I had mentioned how we have his 4 month appointment the next day and the doctor said why not wait why bring him. His original doctors ran some tests today and came out positive on RSV. Imagine If he didn't have his appointment, I would've not know what my baby had and could have had lead him to have a lung infection if I left it untreated. Took my son in for a nose that wouldn't stop bleeding. They wasted hours trying the same things we told them we had already tried and that is the reason we brought him. There was poor service, they didn't care about his well being at all. On top of that we get billed for $2000.00. We talk them down and pay a smaller bill and a month later they bill us again saying it is for the room and the other was for the doctor. That isn't what the first bill says or what were we told. Being that my brother is suffering from Pancreatic Stage 4 Cancer and we went for a visit to the CCMH Emergency Room and since we keep my brother's weight closely watched, I am guessing that nurses nowadays are only trained in kg's and not lb's. There were 3 female nurses in the triage and neither one could tell me what his weight was in just regular old pounds and then one young nurse by the name of Trinity had the nerve to say that I was hateful because I asked what the weight is in plain old pounds. This nurse was the rudest of all 3. These females on this shift are just plain rude whoever the others are @ 9am. When people come to the ER for help they can use real assistance not real attitudes. If people want to know pounds there is a button on the scale that can show how much lb's. I'm sure glad the professional nurses at the Cancer Center have theirselves together and are no way rude or have haughty attitudes as these nurses. read more

My rating is specifically to the Nurses & staff on 3rd floor on July 20th & 21st, 2023 Comanche Cnty Mem Hospital 3401 W Gore Blvd, Lawton, OK 73505 This is not my personal experience but my 91 year old Mother's. No one likes to be in pain or sick & end up in the hospital, especially on their birthday. I'm sharing part of a text my sweet mom sent me during her stay. "I was awaken at 1am for b.p. & the staff on duty 6 or 7 came into my room and sang Happy Birthday to me. The nurse yesterday, I talked to her a lot. I could have a good friendship with her, we just connected. They are always so nice here." Since I couldn't be up there with my mom during her last stay, it sure made me feel good to know what caring, sweet staff/nurses on night duty that took care of my mom in room 307. I don't know if they realize the impact this made on my mom & my self but I'm truly thankful for the people who have these jobs that greatly deserve them, I'm thankful to God for u all. I imagine it is extremely stressful at times & difficult to be cheerful. So thank u for taking the time to make a sweet little old lady, feel special! Your kindness & empathy will be repaid one day when u least expect it. I don't know who the ladies & or men were, but I wanted to acknowledge u here. They don't care about the patient and don't have good working relationships with other clinics and Doctors. They lay the burden of getting ALL documents THEY need from the referring Dr. On the patient instead of the administrator over records or whoever's job it is. Then they refuse to treat you if you insist on being treated the way you know you are supposed to be treated. Bad, bad hospital that I'll never go back to. I know far too many people who have had bad stuff happen to them there also. There's good reason you only score a 2 overall on your reviews. Took my dad to ER because he was in agony. The nurse made him get out of the wheel chair to weigh even though he told her it hurt to much to stand. Well you have to she stated smart alek-ly. Then the took one exray and said he was fine and sent him home. Nothing for pain. After three weeks of listening to him scream he finally let me call an ambulance and take him to Southwestern. His spine is broke and they are trying to find a surgeon now. Comanche is rude and useless and potentially dangerous! read more

where do I begin? This place is absolutely horrible and the staff doesn't care about the patients at all. I got there and they didn't even bring me or anybody else in the lobby to a room they assessed us in a hallway. The doctor kind of looks at me saying i mean there's nothing we can really do for a hurt arm unless you fell. luckily he went ahead and gave me an X-ray . Found out my bones are thinning and I could have an underlying issue that could serious. so he says schedule an MRI..... I can't afford insurance and I can't get soonercare because apparently we make too much. boy I'do likee to see the proof of that. so i said can they just do it here. The doctor says we don't do mri here....... your a hospital wtf . So while my body gets worse every day I have to suck it up bc a hospital didn't take my condition more seriousl. Even after telling me I could have Osteoporosis or bone cancer. Ive frantically been looking for anybody that will do an mri for free but haven't found anybody. Been crying a lot. my review is of the Ortho Department. nothing but head aches. They could not coordinated with an outside lab, they could not provide accurate information (resulting in delayed surgery), and the office staff is rude and disrespectful. The office manager that contacted me was aggressive and aside from overtalking me and providing irrelevant information actually told me "we didn't ask you to come here" when I questioned whether or not she was going to cooperate with the VA since I was there on a VA referral. when I asked who her boss was she kind of giggle an allbut offered to take me there. I later found out that nepotism is at play. Her mom is the head of MMG apparently. She knew she could act like a spoiled, disrespectful child because mommy would bail her out. My care (surgery and post op) have been delayed 3 times due to poor communication and poor performance. of course this is my opinion. I will make sure I go north should I ever need Ortho care again. The care my dad received was good, according to my dad. The billing process however is a nightmare. I do not understand why Comanche County Hospital does not own their own billing processes. They employee a third party vendor and they are RUDE and do not due their due diligence before sending the patient a bill. My son was throwing up bright red blood earlier in day, this evening dark red blood. He arrived at this horrible ER at 7:30 pm. It's midnight -- 4 and 1/2 hours and still no bed/ room/ care/ attention/ evaluation. They only manage to see 3 patients per hour. After an hour, he inquired and was told he was #9 on the list. After 4.5 hours, he's had enough and going home to rest. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE???! How many people die in the ER here waiting to be seen? Dr. Behm, one of the worst Doctors I've ever come in to contact with. He cared more for what was going on with my husbands military doctor than his actual symptoms to the medication prescribed. This hospital is horrible. Every time I have come here, they have messed something up. From stabbing my wife in her spine over 8 times trying to do a spinal tap when she told them it was a severe migraine to most recently not properly suturing a wound. Now the doctor just doctored the reopened wound with no gloves and prescribed no antibiotics or pain meds. Horrible service all around. And the wait times are ridiculous. read more

If you're a travel nurse Stay away!!! I ran into the manager of my extended stay who, for no reason it seemed, asked if they had canceled my contract yet. I answered "no, not yet. Apparently they woo nurses to come here by lying through their teeth, then cancel your contract when they're done with you. She said it happens ALL the time. She said she grieves whenever a new nurse comes because she knows how badly they treat them. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT COME HERE!! read more

I've had several experiences here with immediate family and my own ER experience. I believe for Lawton we have a great facility here, knowledgeable doctors and staff, modern equipment, and the like. No it isn't OU Med Center, but isn't supposed to be. I'm grateful for CCMH and the work they do. Lest I forget, even the accounting office has been pretty awesome too. read more

I have been a patient at this hospital several times, I was treated well and was happy each time. I see a lot of bad reviews here but I think its because when something goes wrong, which is bound to happen sometimes, people love to get online and complain. I am sure that there are much more likes than dislikes to this hospital. I am a fan. Yes OU is better but this one is right up there next to it. All the nurses were great. Labor and delivery gets an A++ ! Had my baby here and the nurses and my doctor were unbelievable friendly. I have heard horror stories about moms having unfriendly nurses at their hospitals so I was a little worried. But every nurse and staff member here blew me away with how nice and courteous they were From the janitors to the lactation consultant every person we ran into was great. All the labor and delivery rooms are nice as well. There are some post partum rooms that are not newly renovated but the friendly staff made up for it. read more

Our family member had a baby here last week. The room she and the baby were put in HAD NO HOT WATER. IT NEVER EVEN GOT WARM....The nurses KNEW about it and said you have to let it heat up. IT NEVER GOT WARM...at all. THEY BROUGHT IN WATER JUST FOR THE NEWBORN, who had LOW BODY TEMPERATURE at birth to be bathed in. Why would you put a baby who has low body temperature in carried in water! It's not very hygienic amongst other things. The mother couldn't shower unless she settled for cold water. If you just had a baby would you want a cold shower? The lactation nurse is unprofessional and awful! She scolded our family member about everything from holding to breastfeed to arguing that he wasn't eating enough and that she was wrong in letting the baby have a pacifier. She left in tears. The discharge nurse scared her telling her she would hemorrhage and die at home if she didn't pay attention to her because some husbands come in and find their wife dead on the toilet. Stay away from CCMH!!!!! Drive to Duncan or Altus, WF or ANYPLACE ELSE!!!! This family is FURIOUS!!!!! read more

Wife went in for chest pains. Got to emergency room checked in and sat to wait. 10 minutes later called for ekg. Sat in waiting room for almost 30 minutes again. No results, asked if they new anything on time or doctor possibly. Wife stated she could have stayed home to have a heart attack..response...If thats what you want to do Honey. I have never experienced such rudeness in my life. My son comes in with chest pains and between 2 reception and the male who took his vitals. There was one reception that took the her time to actually care and I appreciate her so much thank you. As for the man who told my son if you don't talk to me you would get help. I have never in my life hear a heartless comment like that. And he is supposed to be professional ready in what? Is this how people are treated in the emergency room. read more
