It was pushed fast and I had a severe panic attack. I left with no surgery. In the meantime, the infection in my sinus became severe enough that i was sent to OU ER and to my PCP to get a higher level of care. Surgery was rescheduled for April 29, 2026. Although i was not given Reglan this time, my care at DRH was still concerning. My husband was told he would get text messages throughout the surgery. We verified with 2 people that the correct number was on file. He never got one text, he reported it to the volunteers and was still never given updates. The volunteer kept telling he would get a text but made no effort to find out why surgery was taking so long or how i was. Surgery was 4 hours long. After surgery he was not given any information about how my surgery went. It was not until 2 days later when I was able to log into the patient portal, that i was able to see Dr notes that explained everything. Then on May 15 I sent a message to patient relations with my concerns and was told i would receive a letter in the mail. I did so about a week later telling me that they in fact did send several texts. case closed. So I sent another email to patient relations explaining that something is faulty with the system because he did NOT get a text and that i'm also upset the the complaint about how the medicine was administered incorrectly, was not even addressed in the letter. That was 2 weeks ago and I have not received any response. So now my complaint is about Patient relations, it should be renamed as hospital relations, as it is only defending the hospital and not advocating for the patient.

I already decided I was giving 5 stars no matter what at this appointment after sitting in the…read morelobby and seeing the people the staff have to put up with. There were a couple of nice folks, but dang, do they put up with some nasty, grouchy people. It's an orthopedic place, so I get some are in pain, but it's no reason to take it out on the staff. But in any case, I was told to come in half an hour prior, I came 45 minutes early. It's just what I do. I had to wait for two people who thought their appointment was more important than mine as they jumped ahead of me to check in. After that, I feel like my wait was minimal and even if it weren't, no one asked me to come 45 minutes early. I was given paperwork promptly. I filled it out. I turned it in. I then returned to my seat to await my appointment time or until my name was called. In my very short wait, I scoped put the waiting area. It is quite pleasant looking and comfortable, with ample seating. Everyone was wearing masks, but I'm not sure if they're currently required or if they were just worn out it habit. I was called very quickly I thought and an extremely nice lady went over a questionnaire with me before the doc came. He arrived quickly, addressed my issue and presented solutions, should I feel I warrant further care, and I went about my way. Pretty quick, efficient visit.

I was absolutely dying last week, thanks to a bad case of strep, and possibly also the flu. I was…read moreon antibiotics for strep, but I was still feeling like absolute trash on the day before Thanksgiving. I wasn't even worried about missing the holiday, I just felt so, so bad. I was able to get into NP 2 GO, and get an appointment for an infusion and a steroid shot. They took great care of me, and it was more affordable than an infusion in a retail storefront. I was able to get a much needed bag of fluids, plus vitamins, as well as a shot. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. I could literally feel myself getting better. A few hours later, I was able to eat, drink, and function. I think the one-two punch of the infusion probably shaved 2-3 days off of feeling bad. I will definitely do this again and may get another infusion before the next time I have to travel.
