And when I do get to the clinic, I am never rushed thru my appointment so the doctor can move on to his next patient. He takes the time to find out everything that is happening in my life, and makes sure all my prescriptions are up to date so I'm never without my medication. I have been a patient of Dr Birdwell for a good number of years, my mother was also a patient of his until she passed away in March 2013. I cannot imagine changing doctors for any reason. Kelly (nurse) took my vitals and asked all the new patient questions. She is such a kind, warm person! I felt as though I was talking to a friend! Then Katherine (nurse practitioner) entered the room with a big smile! She spent an hour and forty five minutes with me and was incredibly down to earth and thorough! I still can't believe the amount of care I received at this appointment. I can honestly say I have never experienced a doctor's visit like this one. Katherine actually listened to me in such a concerned and caring way. When I mentioned I had chest pains a few weeks ago she immediately ordered an EKG. Within minutes Kelly came in and ran the tests which showed no problems with my heart. What a relief! NO charge for the test! Unbelievable!!! I will recommend this clinic and Katherine to everyone! He and his team were outstanding and attentive to any concerns I might have had. His nurses at the clinic are so helpful as well providing me with documentation I needed to bring to work in a timely manner and kept me informed of future appts I have post op. I already decided I was giving 5 stars no matter what at this appointment after sitting in the…read morelobby and seeing the people the staff have to put up with. There were a couple of nice folks, but dang, do they put up with some nasty, grouchy people. It's an orthopedic place, so I get some are in pain, but it's no reason to take it out on the staff. But in any case, I was told to come in half an hour prior, I came 45 minutes early. It's just what I do. I had to wait for two people who thought their appointment was more important than mine as they jumped ahead of me to check in. After that, I feel like my wait was minimal and even if it weren't, no one asked me to come 45 minutes early. I was given paperwork promptly. I filled it out. I turned it in. I then returned to my seat to await my appointment time or until my name was called. In my very short wait, I scoped put the waiting area. It is quite pleasant looking and comfortable, with ample seating. Everyone was wearing masks, but I'm not sure if they're currently required or if they were just worn out it habit. I was called very quickly I thought and an extremely nice lady went over a questionnaire with me before the doc came. He arrived quickly, addressed my issue and presented solutions, should I feel I warrant further care, and I went about my way. Pretty quick, efficient visit.

This one is…read morestill busy, but I seem to get in quickly for appointments and blood work, etc. I absolutely love the staff here. They are super friendly, helpful and nice. I love the dr too. He is very thorough and helpful. I definitely recommend coming here! We've switched my husband and mom here also. My nieces go to the other location I used to go to, but we will switch them soon also.
