Came all the way from California with my best friend. Staff were very friendly, especially Renee at Players Club. The options for food was really good too. Had the catfish with mash potatoes and green beans. I go to Vegas 2-3 times a year, and I wasn't disappointed at this casino selection of games. I was passing thru and spent a night in Lawton, OK. I went to this casino. Boy, it was very slow and almost dead like a ghost house. I played the slot machines but they did not pay at all. Waiting so long for the bonus. By the time I had a bonus, they did not pay anything. It's a small casino. They checked people ID at the entrance. Have you ever tried to speak to someone in a position of management over an actual problem and were just shrugged off? I'm truly dissatisfied by their staff and inability to address an actual issue that I had regarding payments to their grill. Just need to remember that these places don't care about you. I accidentally published this review on the Apache Casino Yelp page. After further investigation, I think Apache Casino would have been a much better choice. I'd just stop reading and punch the Apache address into your GPS. I guess I'm spoiled having been to Vegas and living in Connecticut with our Mohegan Sun... but this place is a total dump. Smoking is allowed inside, the machines are old(er), and the blackjack dealers are, for the most part, assholes. I don't know anything about cards, or playing cards, or sitting at tables playing cards so when I accidentally pulled my phone out to check the time the large, pimply faced ogre dealer embarrassed me and I was on the verge of tears. How about some signs, or not being such a dick about it? Some of us just don't know these things. The other dealers were sort of snobby but still let me sit and hang out while my other half and family played. They kept looking at me like I was going all Oceans Eleven on them, which was mildly annoying, but they didn't say anything. I saw the pour size on the drinks and was disgusted. They are charging $6.50 for a half a shot of vodka in their Bloody Mary. Perhaps this is standard in casino land and those who buy fancy drinks expect it... but I was disgusted. The bathrooms are actually pretty clean and I think there's food in this heap somewhere, I kept hearing announcements. Nice newish building with a ton of slot machines. Place was packed on a Friday night. Unfortunately there is no craps table but there are other card games. The focus of this place is really on the slot machines. Decent ventilation but there were a fair number of smokers in there, so not great if you are sensitive to smoke like I am. I've been here several times over the past several years and I must say they have made big strides of improvement! Positives: They've renovated to where the casino flows better and they now have more table games. They have great complimentary drinks! The cafe is very affordable and cheap. You can get mozzarella sticks and a chicken sandwich for $9.00, that's about as cheap as fast food!! The dealers are pretty friendly and sociable. Negatives: To play table games its a 0.50 min charge just to play each hand. That gobbles you're cash pretty fast. Smoking is allowed inside. I hate going there because I smell like smoke when I leave. Maybe they should have a smoking section and a non smoking section. While looking for a fiend in the casino (I have no cell phone) I was stopped by security. He asked for my ID and then told me that they had noticed me walking around a lot. He then proceeded to inform me that in order to be in the casino I needed to be spending money. I was holding a voucher in my hand that I had received after playing black jack at the bar for about 15 minutes. This was after I had gotten off a $1 slot machine that I had been on for about 10 minutes. Total time walking around, approximately 5 minutes. I frequent that casino about 5 days a week. Not anymore. The Comanche Nation has a much nicer casino that I would have thought. While they allow smoking they had good ventilation so it wasn't too bothersome. All of their slots were in good order and the place was tidy. There was also a lot of parking and a number of attendants driving people to and from their cars. The one downside is that they didn't have a craps table and the poker room looked dead. If I were going to mess with the one-armed bandit, I'd come here. read more

Stopped by for a quick visit while on business in Lawton. I have lived in Las Vegas, near Atlantic City and visited Foxwoods as well as dozens of Indian nation casinos across the U.S. Like most of the smaller town casinos, this one had limited options if you don't play slots. There was one full poker table and two small stakes blackjack tables. That said, the casino was clean, employees were very friendly and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. While I didn't dine there, the food coming out of the kitchen looked good and the bar was packed with smiling customers and a friendly bartender. If you like slots (particularly) and are in that part of Oklahoma on business or pleasure, I would recommend. Slots are old and bone dry. Dealers and staff are fairly friendly. Do not play poker here, standard poker room rules are not followed. Just a bunch of regs doing whatever they want(talking about the hand in play, using phones during the hand). There are rules posted on the wall but they are generally ignored. Beautiful casino right in the middle of Lawton, OK. They have plenty of slot machines from penny machines to machines that are $25 a spin. They have a table games pit which has ultimate texas hold'em, three card poker, and of course blackjack. The ante is .50 cents a hand, but it's not a gratuity and required every where in the state of Oklahoma. They are also the only casino within 40 miles of Lawton that offers a poker room! The casino is spacious and newly remodeled with a cafe and full service bar. The employees are always very friendly to me, and make my experience fantastic every time no matter if I win or lose. There are two casinos in Lawton and Comanche Nation is the worst by far. I'm not huge on casinos, but my girlfriend & buddies like going since there really isn't anything else to do in Lawton, so I go more than I'd like. Pros: - Sometimes they run promotions like a men's/ladies night for free play. Yes, you do have to spend your own money & earn points to redeem, but it's something. - On certain nights, they have decent food specials. While the dining options are mainly limited to fast food items such as burgers & sandwiches, they're reasonably priced & even better if you catch the right special. - They have the only poker room within an hour's drive. This is one of the only advantages they have over Apache Casino Hotel. It gives my buddies & me something to do while our girlfriends & wives are playing slots. - Most of the staff are very friendly. Almost all of the bartenders, waitresses, & poker dealers are pleasant & engaging. - I'm not sure if this is a pro or a con given the potential reasons behind it, but Comanche is almost never crowded & there is always ample parking. Cons: - The quality of patrons. This place is littered with crackheads, especially late night/early morning. Being a crackhead doesn't bother me personally, but we're constantly hounded by panhandlers & people bumming rides. - The slot machines are noticeably tighter than any other casino we go to. Neither my friends or myself hardly ever win there. - The price of alcohol is outrageous. They charge as much for single shots as they should be charging for doubles. - The cash out machines for slot tickets are constantly out of order. I'm not sure if they aren't re-stocking the machines enough or if they're just continually broken. It gets frustrating walking all over the casino for a cash out machine that actually functions. Overall, Comanche is several notches below other casinos I have been to. If it wasn't for a handful of really cool employees, decent food specials, & the only poker game in town, we would never go to this place. I went with several family members and gambled a lot of money away which I expected but the service at the snack bar was horrendous. I ordered a cheese burger and after almost an hour standing there and watching several people that ordered after me get their food I asked when my food was going to be ready. One of the cooks in the back hollered our to the front and said I could either shut up and wait or get a refund. I asked why my food wasn't ready when people after me already got theirs and I got more attitude from the same cook. Comanche Nation is an okay casino, but you can tell they're not really hurting for business. They make you pay for each hand of blackjack, and the place is thick with cigarette smoke. We played blackjack for hours and never got offered beer or anything. Definitely not Vegas, but at the same time not what I expected to find in Lawton, OK. I was in the area for my son's graduation and stopped in for a few hours with family members. I was not impressed with their selection slot machines. I wish they had a non smoking area I had to step outside for fresh air a few times.
