Unfortunately my husbands work schedule changed and I did not have childcare in the mornings to go workout. I signed a 6 month contract, but stopped going in January. I believe My last month was April. I was still paying $105 for the reminder of my contract, but my card got compromised. I had one month left and since I hadn't been going, I decided not to go in and update my card and give them $100+ for a gym I wasn't using. They the. Tried to charge my card for an additional month after my contract ended! I received several texts asking to pay and they said "I'll see what I can do about getting this last payment down" I told them I hadn't been there in months. They're now sent me to collections for $124 and I get phone calls from corporate. It's so weird that they're this aggressive over $105 when I WASNT EVEN UTILIZING THE GYM. This was a great option for a quick workout, and I would have loved to return if I ever was able to get consistent childcare In the mornings (I work PM so AM Is my only option) but now I know they won't welcome me back and I for sure wouldn't want to. Being a small business owner myself, you should learn the habits of your clients and adjust accordingly. You can literally pull a report and see I hadn't been coming. So why try to charge an additional month? Weird.

My son started Kung Fu at 9 YO and in 2 years he's gained discipline, focus, coordination, confidence, internal motivation, and great friends! Students progress at their own pace. Attendance days are flexible - with a monthly tuition, kids can attend any classes of their belt level (there are 5 every week). After a whole-class warm-up, kids break up into smaller groups and work on specific skills with the instructor and student assistants. The school holds optional tournaments and seminars, giving students an opportunity to set goals and train for specialized skills. Self-defense is emphasized and specific techniques are taught at each belt level, which build upon the previous ones. Anti-bullying measures, empathy, and conflict avoidance are also discussed. The instructors teach respect inside and outside of the school. I've been taking Kickboxing with Sihing Braydan and I absolutely LOVE it! Twice a week, a small group of adults work hard, push ourselves beyond what we ever thought we were capable of, and share lots of laughs too! It's a great way to end the day - exercising stress away, getting stronger, staying sharp, and feeling invigorated too. There are many fun events throughout the year, including the Lunar New Year celebration featuring our talented Lion Dance Team, who perform throughout the Bay Area. My son has had 2 birthday parties here, and they will tailor the event to your party theme, like Star Wars! I have also taken their Self-Defense course, which is open to the public and is extremely informative and empowering. I highly recommend it to all teens and adults. There are wonderful opportunities here from littles to seniors. Come try a class in Kung Fu, Kickboxing, Tai Chi, or Self-Defense, and gain mental & physical health, self-confidence, and a warm, supportive community.

The environment is strongly, toxic, and not tolerant of neurodivergent, children and adolescence…read more The manager, Josh, who has been there managing the dojo for a few years, has made it obvious that he does not reward children on the autism spectrum who try just as hard as Neurotypical kids. my son adores most of the coaches there - they are good people and great coaches, however, due to the blatant discrimination, I've felt I had to pull my son from their facility and I'm currently looking into other jujutsu dojo's in the Danville area. There are a few kids that go there whose parents are also members that seem to get extreme favoritism - unfortunately I gave this dojo a fair shot and almost canceled it three times-- however, my son really loved a couple of the coaches so I kept hoping the culture would get better -- unfortunately, it did not. Most recently I asked if my son could attend the teen and adult kickboxing classes. He told me that it was only for teens and adults, after my son went a couple times. My son is 11 years old and he was enjoying the kickboxing classes a lot. after a few months I called Josh again and asked him if he could rejoin and Josh said he can rejoin if he doesn't 'have any more tantrums or is disruptive in the class'. However, I was there each time he was in the class as well as my friend Lisa and we never saw any tantrums or disruptions -- what we did see was a lot of questions because they were new to kickboxing, Enzo went there with one of his friends to learn about kickboxing and to participate, and they really loved it. After they were kicked out of the class, I didn't want to make a big deal about it, however I asked again if he could rejoin it, and he said he was too disruptive and throwing tantrums, which was a blatant lie. That was the final straw for me. All my communication has come From Josh , no one else. I also found out that stripes, which are progress awards, are only given to the k kids who attend on 'Gi' days, after attending that dojo for 3 years no one took the opportunity to convey that information to me after i inquired how stripes were given out. Again, all this was with my 1-1 communication with the manager - Josh. Apparently the owners are not involved at all and live in Idaho??? So trying to reach out to other management has been impossible. I'd appreciate any recommendations for a local Brazilian Juijitsu dojo - thx
