We had two rooms and both felt clean, but the doors especially connecting doors were full of hand/finger prints and smudges. You can tell none of the doors get cleaned. The bathroom is also super awkward with the pull close doors that have holes, no locks, and a crack between them where they do not completely meet. My kids were so uncomfortable trying to shower, get dressed, etc in there with others in the actual room. The restaurant has a small menu and well stocked bar. Overall, a good choice for the area other than the bathrooms and some cleanliness issues.

I wasn't in a need for an extended late checkout and wasn't going to have breakfast, so I booked my two nights stay here through Expedia and got a good deal. This hotel is about 23 minutes of a drive away from Frankfurt International Airport. It can also be reached via public transportation, but that takes much longer. Located off the main highway and about 10 minutes drive from Wiesbaden city center, Penta Hotel is a nice place to stay. They have single or double bed options. The room amenities were good and adequate. The room I was in was small but perfect for a single occupant. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The room also had a nice big window. I thought I had taken photos of the inside of the hotel, but I don't have them to share. The front lobby of the hotel is at the hotel bar. There is no separate front desk. That's where your check-in. By the front lobby and the bar, there's an attached restaurant that serves freshly made food. There is also a hangout lounge and a gaming area with a pool table and a few arcade games. The hotel was clean, the service was friendly and good. I liked my stay at Penta and would stay again.

But in other areas, age shows: windows only open with force if at all, lifts and halls look slightly shabby, and at the back, the restaurant looks permanently empty. Some staff (at breakfast most noticeably) is very friendly, but a handyman seems to be lacking. The hotel provides parking in an underground garage (driving in and out may be an issue for large cars). The reception area is nice with complimentary coffee. The room we had was small (I think the room sizes are all the same) and basic (nothing special). We were located on the back side of the building). The bed was at least a queen; maybe a king size. The happy hour is a nice feature and the breakfast is bountiful and good (also at a great price ($4.80) if you book through their site). Our major issue was noise. We wanted to sleep in but at 6am the business next door started banging away on something. It was continuous for 30 plus minutes so we got up and went to breakfast. After breakfast we went up to get our luggage to check out. It was 8:30am - 9:00am and the blaring sound of rap music permeated the hallway. The noise maker had no consideration for the other guests. I pity to other guests who wanted to sleep in that morning. When we checked out we let the reception know about the business noise. She indicated that it was unusual for them to make that kind of noise next door at that time (I guess we picked a lucky day to stay there). We also let her know about the blaring rap music; not sure if she took steps to shut it down. We had made reservations at this hotel for later in the week but decided to cancel. I do not think that I will stay here again. But I have to say I will miss the happy hour and the breakfast.

GREAT HOTEL RIGHT ON THE RHINE RIVER…read more============================= This is a very nice hotel with comfortable rooms, good food and central location on the Rhine River. The highest rooms on the side of the river have the best views and the old fortress blocks the views for the lower level rooms. We walked to the weekly farmer's market that was right by the cathedral and another church with the Marc Chagall windows.
