I especially liked the electronic blinds mounted on the outside of the windows which helped block both the sunlight and the street noise. The breakfast, which was included, was by far one of the nicest we experienced in our two week Euro-trip. An abundance of quality and assortments for different tastes abound for all. The air conditioning is a great asset for the few month it is needed. The room is completely sound isolated from the street. Parking is not included, but parking in the public garage gets you use of the public transport system. Staff was friendly and helpful with tourist sights and directions. It took a while to find my room-- it is an indirect route from the reception area. But the room is pretty cool and there is an amazing view of the Rhine River. The grounds are very lovely with large old trees and wild parrots that live here. The beds are very comfy and all is well EXCEPT the wifi is extraordinarily slow. And there are no Do Not Disturb signs-- housekeeping is aggressive and you will want to lock your door. Other than that this place is A-OK.

Service (2.5/5): European service tends to be lackluster, but our service experience was a little below even that standard. We had to track our waiter down several times. Overall, quite slow. Drinks (4/5): If you can't tell by the name, Apfelwein Wagner specializes in apple wine. The largest size is served in beautiful handmade blue and white carafes. I personally am not a fan of apple wine, but it's definitely worth trying. Instead, I went with a beer or two. You can't go wrong with that in Germany. Food (3/5): They have several schnitzels (different meats) served with potatoes and green sauce (another Frankfurt specialty). You can't really mess this one up. Solid from the thin breaded cutlet to the potatoes and the green sauce made from a bunch of different herbs. My girlfriend at the other time, ordered some ribs and they were a big dud. They were rare, highly chewy, and highly fatty. She couldn't finish her meal and I don't blame her. So a bit of a hit and a miss. Apfelwein Wagner is a popular spot and I'm glad I checked it out. My son had Wiener schnitzel and a pretzel, and my husband had Weisswurst (veal sausages, I believe?) with soup and a pretzel. The friendly young man waiting on us cheerfully put in a to-go order for my daughter, who wasn't feeling well, and was happy to explain the menu items for me, so I could pick the best things for her.
