TL;DR: If you want to be on the East side of Dothan and are good with about 100 a night, you will probably find this to be an adequate experience. My wife and I chose this hotel because of the convenience with regard to proximity of why we visited Dothan. We have stayed here on 3 occasions, and this review comes after the third visit. Our most recent stay was a 5 night stay. This will probably be our last stay. For the most part, this hotel is adequate for the cost. It generally runs 100 +/-20, leaning towards the +20. The lot is well lit at night and there is adequate parking for the number of rooms. The rooms, lobby, and food areas are typical for a Comfort Inn. The pool looks well-kept (not used because I visit during January). The hallway carpets look dingy and drab and like it needs a steam-vaccuming. The fitness room was a sad affair, with 2 of the 4 machines operational. (NOTE: If the treadmill isn't starting, check the emergency magnet in the middle). The washer was also non-opperational. The staff was mostly friendly. I overheard gossip about Sarah, complaining about a visitor, and about an hour of mobile game beeping from an employee's phone that was (as best as I could tell) at full volume. The room was clean. Horrible service the pool was yellow and our bed had a cockroach in it, the scary part is the bed was covered in red stains

This place was disgusting!!! You would think for $120 it would be alright but it wasn't. When I first walked down the hallway to my room I immediately knew because the carpet was old and nasty. When walking in the room the floor wasn't even vacuumed. So I turned around went to the front desk and told them they came to the room and saw it and said they were sorry then I gave me another room, which wasn't much better. I had to go to Walgreens to buy flip-flops to wear while in the room. Later that night I went to shower and pulled the shower curtain down and a DIRTY WASH RAG fell off the curtain. read more

Me and my buddy are travel nurses working at a hospital nearby and have been staying at several different hotels in and around Dothan. we only really care about TWO things-- the bed and the hot water (well, that and how dark the room gets since we work nightshift) hahaha. This place, for what it is, is great. It's about 45 seconds from the place we're working at which is a HUGE plus. The beds are reasonably comfortable but I'd recommend bringing your own pillow cause theirs are pretty uninspiring. The room is big enough and clean, same with the bathroom. Breakfast is what you'd expect from a $100/night hotel, but is hot and free, so no complaints there. Unfortunately the room doesn't get that dark during the day and the hot water in the shower is sort of a joke. I really wish those two things weren't such a dealbreaker because the 45 second commute to/from here and our current job is really nice. We've stayed here 3 times so far and will likely continue to stay here because of the distance from our job, I just wish the water was warmer and that they had better window shades. Traveling and exhausted this was the closest Inn when I searched online. Walked in front desk was super nice and helpful. First room literally had dirt, yes dirt in the bed when I pulled the comforter back. So to the front desk I went. Second room given was never cleaned opened the door to utter chaos! I was shocked and mortified. So back to the front desk I go. If I wasn't so tired I would of just ask for a refund at this point. Stayed a couple nights. Room was clean but a few exceptions. Shower curtain was stained with what looks like blood. Dirty wash cloth on top of shower curtain. Carpet frayed at the entrance. Office chair worn with rips in the seat. Card key didn't work the first time trying to get in room. She reprogram it and I was told that if it's next to a cell phone it will erase it. The next day it happened again. Went downstairs and waited awhile until someone showed up to help. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was decent. Hotel was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Pillows need to be replaced. Price was good. It's not a 5 star hotel so you get what you pay for. Housekeeping really needs to pay attention to some details. read more

I guess I'll be the first to break that star. I'll just get down to it. Please see the following pictures. When I arrived to check in I was asked for my whole name and the length of my stay. She then told me where was my room, gave my key card, explained the WiFi then she told me I was good to go. The amazing part was that she never asked for an ID. I mean I know I have a unique name and my company paid for the whole stay already but usually staff will ask for ID so they know who the person is but I guess money is money . The shower head's little nozzle are dirty, I mean they look gross. Imagine taking a shower when you arrived because you've been traveling for so long. You soak it all in, water dripping down your head, mouth then to the rest of your body. Then you look up and see all that gunk . Then whatever cleaning product that was used to wipe down pretty much everything in the room left this really greasy stain on everything. As soon as I touch something, table, lamp or desk my hand just slides and feels greasy. . A lot of the furniture are updated but some remains with a lot of wear and tear. One of the dumbbells, the 45lbs. one has one of the weights loosening off the bar. That's pretty dangerous and could fall on someone. I smell lawsuit! But the hotel is okay. The staff is really friendly and very helpful. There's plenty of parking. It's conveniently located next to a grocery store which is across the street (WinnDixie). About a block away are a bunch of places to eat as well as a Walgreens. The hotel has a small "gym" and even a pool. My stay was okay but the things mentioned above should be looked at. read more

One of the best places to stay in Dothan. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was pleasant. It isn't fancy but it is the nicest Comfort Inn I have ever stayed at. No breakfast due to COVID but plenty of places nearby to eat. Would definitely stay here again when in the area. read more

I did NOT have a good experience here when I stayed here last month. The manager, Andrea Inscore, is EXTREMELY rude. Her attitude is horrible and she doesn't need to be working in customer service. I came to the front desk to inform her that the Wi-Fi was not working, since I was working remotely. She dismissed my claims, stating there was nothing wrong with the Internet on her end. I asked her if she would contact the Internet provider, and she stated (very rudely) that she would, but on HER time. She then yelled, rolled her eyes, and walked away from when I was discussing the issue with her. Unless you enjoy being disrespected, I wouldn't recommend this location anyone. read more

The facility is rather nice and if that's all you need, this is the place for you. If you might require additional services, don't come here. I've heard apologies for so many things that they didn't have, The very limited breakfast has 4-6 of an item and it that runs out, it's blamed on early guests, sorry. Coffee runs out, sorry. No OJ or and other juice, sorry. I'm sick of it. Also, they blame things on "With all that's going on now" meaning COVID. The company who booked our room has at least 7 other rooms with them for 4-5 nights, nice sum of money so you'd think when I ask for a late checkout, it wouldn't be a problem. You'd be wrong. I was told the property was booked to capacity tomorrow but they could rent us our room for another night... If they're at capacity, how can they give us our room for another night? I've had front desk clerks complain to me about customers not wearing a mask or shoes and come back later and the desk is a local hangout for staff, their family and friends, without masks. There was a point where the elevator was not working and the locks to our room weren't working due to a storm. The employees were very helpful. So far so good. As soon as we pulled up we were promptly greeted by staff members that were outside. My flight arrived before the 3:00 pm check in time. The receptionist was gracious enough to let me check in early. Every staff member that I passed said hello and were friendly. The room was spacious, had a microwave, mini fridge, TV, and free wifi. The biggest plus for me is that the room was clean, clean, clean! I highly recommend anyone visiting the area to stay here. read more

I know this is Covid time, however this is the absolute worst hotel I have ever seen about taking a reservation, keeping reservation, and understanding even what a reservation is meant to be. They messed up our rooms time after time after time . Although the room was clean, the front desk service and calling over the phone trying to make a reservation was nearly impossible. If I could give this hotel a zero I would. The minute we got into our room, we found the toilet full. It was clogged up and threatening to flood over. When I called the front desk, they gave me an excuse that the handy man wasn't available and the best they could do was give me a plunger to take care of it myself. For a $100 I would have had to unclog the toilet with a previous guests "load". Needless to say, we checked out and asked for a return. A return that will take 3 days. Very friendly staff! Comfortable beds and loved the pillows. Slept very well. Nice, modern rooms. As a coffee snob, the coffee was not very good. There was a good choice at breakfast. No complaints! Clean room, flatscreen tv, the wifi was actually pretty fast (for a hotel). Bed was comfy, ac/heat worked well, fridge worked so well my beer froze in it overnight and I had to go buy another 12 pack. Bed was comfy and actually had three pillows on it. Also our bed was on the back side away from the road and I would imagine it is much quieter than the front. 10/10 would stay again. read more

My parents stayed at this hotel over this past weekend and the service they received was horrible. After renting a room at the "Comfort Inn and suites" they were astonished when they rolled back the sheets only to find blood stained sheets and mattress. (Disgusting!!) They then went to report the matter immediately to the front desk staff and asked for a different room and/or refund. The lady at the front desk was trying to be helpful however when she contacted her manager (Keisha McKay) she was instructed not to change the room or give a refund. Keisha advised the front desk person to just change the sheets, which were then thrown on a side chair in the room. This is lowest level of customer service I have ever encountered and we want to let everyone know so they never have to experience the same. We have also reported this to the corporate office and have a case pending. read more
