The lady was very helpful at the desk for what she was capable of doing to help me. First rooms outlets refrigerated tv and microwave all did not work it was frustrating because we plugged in our devices to charge and left to go take kids to pool. Pool was small not a big deal.. but the room the pool was in smelled like urine... Pool was also filled with hair. I had to get out after the second glob of hair got stuck to me. Got to the room realizing that nothing was charging. So then had to switch rooms and move all of our things. We are tired and over it. Get to the room and remote doesn't work, have to change Channel with button. A lot of channels don't work... front desk tried to help by switching batteries It is still broken but I'm tired of going down to desk and bothering lady Also the internet is slow. This is not the place to stay. The room we had was on the first floor and the ceiling had several leaks. The bathroom was not cleaned and had mold in the shower. The rooms are old and the carpet is worn. 20 years ago it may have been nice now it is disgusting. The last thing that turned me off was the attendant at the counter, she was a goth dressed girl with facial piercings and tattoos. I only give it a three because the pool is freezing and I went there the previous day and ask the front desk if the pool is heated they said yes but it's not. That was very disappointing after I checked in. The staff on the day I went was very helpful and accommodating Nikki at the front desk was so nice and helpful, the entire staff was accommodating I would give a 5 if it was for the staff. But they shouldn't lie to people about the pool that was my entire reason for going I wanted to play in the pool w grandson. His lips were blue and he was shaking. I just hope he doesn't get sick. read more

If I could choose zero stars I would. Be going to this exact hotel for 5 years now and I'd never have given a 5 star review but it was between a 3-4. Over the years especially after the pandemic it began to go downhill very quickly and it's only gotten worse since then. The rooms most of the time the floors are sticky and with spots. My last visit over this past weekend was absolutely horrendous. Electric hazard in my suite above my nightstand. The dishes in the in the suite were stained and cracked. There was black mold in the shower. The pots and pans had burnt food on them. The fireplace is on its last leg, works when it wants to but most of the time lights up and immediately turns off. The portrait above the fireplace is now gone but the wall was left dirty and dusty with nails and screws in it. The dishwasher when opened falls out from the wall, you have be careful not to have it fall on you. The rooms and especially hallways smell very musty. When you have a late check out it doesn't matter housekeeping is always banging on your door. Then they say front desk didn't tell them. Made front desk aware of this all within the first hour of our 2 night stay. It took until we needed to book one more night unexpectedly and they were happy to extend our stay but still had no answers for us on all the issues. Finally after 2 days passed thee hotel manager called the hotel to speak with us and informed us if we wanted room change and any kind of compensation we who have been customers here 5 years now wouldn't be allowed to stay here one more night & that he doesn't not want us back, if we wanted the accommodations done. I understand he the manager is a young man around his 30s so there still a lot to learn but just because his parents own the hotel doesn't mean it's ok to make up rules as you go. He also tried telling us we couldn't have a late check out and wanted us gone immediately but we made Choice aware of it and we were told we had until 1 pm like all platinum members do. Trust me this place isn't selling out anytime soon. Don't waste your time and money. On Riverdale alone there's so many hotels that are better than this place some cheaper and some the same price and some really nice ones for more but trust me, most places are better than this place for the same price! read more

I called the front desk and spoke with Howard because my friend had left an item which had sentimental value. The evening before she had another clerk who gave her the run around. Howard so graciously told me he would be happy to have the item sent home for my friend. This made my friend extremely happy after being so frustrated with the rude clerk the evening before! This is, by far, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was disgustingly dirty beyond anything reasonable. The toilet, sink, floor and shower had not been cleaned. The hairdryer was covered in brown dirt and hair. The furniture is dinged up badly and is falling apart. The bed was broken. The hot tub had brown scuzz floating on the top and wasn't cleaned, despite repeated reports made to the staff about this issue. There was a lot of water from the pool all over the floor in the first floor area including a lot of water in the elevator. Again: not cleaned up despite repeated reports made to staff. I absolutely will never stay in a Comfort Inn again. read more

Nice hotel overall. Very spacious. Features basic amenities. Has a great hot tub (might be cool for some but 95-100 is perfect for me!) and large swimming pool. Also has a decent fitness center and lobby. Large bathroom with a shower door and stall. Decent breakfast selection for complimentary. If I have minor complaints: The bed while spacious seemed a little off and the breakfast eggs were dry. But I'm knit picking. Stayed here a few times and will definitely stay again at some point! UPDATE: We stayed again and out of the blue just using points they upgraded us to a SUITE!! Beautiful room with full living room and quasi real fireplace. We have become frequent guests in Springfield because they ARE the best hotel in region. read more

I understand that COVID-19 means that many safety measures require some of the hotel amenities to be different from "normal" or unavailable for now. Unfortunately one of these unavailable amenities appears to be that this is a 100% non-smoking hotel. The second floor of the hotel had a visible haze of cigarette smoke throughout. Additionally, many, if not most, Choice hotels that normally offer breakfast have transitioned to a grab-and-go model. This hotel has instead removed hot water and coffee service and removed any breakfast amenities at all. The website still lists all of the unavailable amenities as available. The ice machine is still available and no less of a risk of community spread than coffee service would be. This amounts to an unannounced price increase by stating that amenities are available when they are not. This isn't a new situation. The website should have been updated in the last year. There were personal items left in the nightstand, indicating that the shelf had not actually been sanitized. The toilet did not appear to have been cleaned well either, as there were still remnants of fecal matter in the bowl. The bed was less comfortable than usual for this grade of hotel. Overall, somewhat disappointing. read more

Always get great rates on rooms and it's our go to when we're in town! The staff is always accommodating to our needs, our rooms have never been below our expectations, the pool/hot tub is a pleasant amenity to relax in after a long day and a hot breakfast to wake up with to start another fun and busy one. We've been coming here for years, we always look forward to checking in and having a great time. You guys make us very happy, it's always disappointing when we discover no rooms are free when we try to book and it happen from time to time but, glad to hear business is up We'll be seeing you again soon!!! read more

Ive stayed here a total of 3 times already and I have been very happy. My room was a 2 queen bed suite. The rooms are clean and above average. What I love the most though is that the suites have a full size fridge and stove top to cook on. Thats very rare. The front desk clerk was nice enough, the second time he remembered me and gave me the same room (which i love bc i like being familiar with where i stay). The only thing that i didn't like was the internet system. They give you these little cards with specific username and password and it kicks me off all the time. ive had to gone up twice to get another card bc i kept losing it. Also, Im picky about the cleanliness of the floors. I do like walking around without shoes but at this place, I couldn't. Lastly, I did utilize the gym to work out which just consist of a treadmill, weight machine, a non-working elliptical machine, and a bench. I ran for a little while and then jumped in the pool and sat in the hot tub. All in all, it was a very relaxing stay. read more

Loved having a fireplace and the room was large and would have made for a beautiful weekend stay. Unfortunately when I went to put something into the freezer, noticed gunk all over the bottom. Went to front desk and the gentleman working was very apologetic and pleasant. He was Unable to change me to a comparable room so I told him if he gave me the supplies, I would clean it myself. (I was reluctant to change anyway since I would have wanted to self-clean anywhere after seeing this). When I returned to the room I did a more thorough check and realized the shower and dishwasher were also dirty. Brought supplies back to the front desk and the gentleman offered to "adjust" my room rate because of this. Stated he had also left a message for the manager. Manager never contacted me. Got the credit card statement, still charged full price. Filled out the survey that I was emailed a week or so later, thinking they'd want to contact me, still nothing. Unfortunate because room was a nice size and well set up, staff was friendly, hotel is centrally located. But poor cleaning practices during a global pandemic would make me recommend you either plan to bring your own cleaning supplies or try another hotel. read more

In all fairness, they are currently doing some major renovations. They should have done a better job of hiding construction dust from their customers. Edit: @MarkHofComfortInn&Suites I stand by my review, and invite you to spend a night here. If you walk past the front desk towards the elevator, you'll notice the wall has been stripped of wallpaper and awaits refinishing. If i were the supervising contactor this would be my first priority as it is a list first impression for guests. The 2nd floor should be closed during renovations as when you step off the elevator you are surrounded by construction. The first room you face stepping off the elevator is under construction with the door off and the toilet is in its doorway as they re-tile the bathroom. I'm pretty forgiving when i write a review, but i think if you were to currently visit this hotel you too would find this location far below comfort inn standards. read more

Though our room smelled like old Chinese food, it was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. There was a table, sofa, and dresser, and refrigerator surrounded by a counter top, shelves and a coffee pot. It was really nice. The bed was sooo comfortable, with soft covers which looked clean and elegant, and wonderful pillows. I felt so well-rested in the morning! Though, part of this was because it was also very quiet. DSL was free; there was free parking in the lot, and the staff was very friendly. It was a great price. I didn't try the breakfast as I'd read on tripadvisor that it was "awful," so, we went to the local Friendly's down the street. My main complaint is that the shower wasn't very good, and the shampoo, conditioner, and soap were not very high quality (read: smelled not so good). That said, I would definitely return to the Comfort Inn & Suites. The bed, pillows, and linens were fabulous! And, a good night's sleep can't be underrated. read more

Was skeptical due to reviews I read on Travelocity. Even asked to see the room upon arrival to make sure, before we committed. The hotel is undergoing a facelift, so we didn't know what to expect. Very welcome, friendly and understanding lady at desk. We had just left a hotel in CT earlier because of a very bad experience. She allowed us to check out the room to confirm it was what we wanted. Very clean, smelled good and new! No regrets here!! Great free internet, great free continental breakfast with delicious poppy seed bread!! The desk also advised us to hit a local hibachi which allll 9 of us LOVED!!! For homemade ice cream dessert we drove to a quaint little parlor in Easthampton!! Perfect stay!! Checked into the hotel and went to our room. Inspected our beds and laid down for a bit to rest our feet. I got up to brush teeth and noticed our bathroom was not cleaned prior to our arrival. The toilet had toilet paper and fecal matter in it. In which we ended up cleaning due to how eshausted we were we did not want to deal with maintence. We told the lady at the counter and she said "I appologize" but did not seem sincere about it. Due to this we did not enjoy the ammenities this hotel had to offer. read more

This location is run-down and in need of maintenance. It is located in an industrial park area which has many vacant buildings. First off, when we arrived for check in at about 5:30PM there was no one staffing the front desk. After waiting about 5 minutes the desk person came wandering in from a back office. The layout of the property is somewhat inconvenient, with a long L-shaped two floor building with only two entrances and no elevators. Our room was on the second floor, which required us to use a poorly maintained stairwell which had broken tiles on most of the stairs (from people dragging suitcases) which caused my daughter to trip when walking up them. The hallway carpets were heavily soiled and worn (as shown by the less traveled edges being much brighter in color). The room itself was fair. There bathroom and furniture showed lots of wear on the edges and surfaces. The bed was comfortable but the couch and chair were not. The pool was not well maintained and showed possible over treatment of chemicals due to a slightly murky appearance. Breakfast is a nightmare. For such a large hotel the continental breakfast area is only about 20' x 20' and seats maybe 15-20 people. When we first arrived it was standing room only with very little being restocked by the staff. For the price, there are better locations in the area. read more

This hotel is located in a quiet place off the highway. We were 6 guest in a suite, it worked very well, clean and very friendly staff. Breakfast is a typical one that you get in all the hotels. I do recommend this place. read more

I stayed at the comfort inn and suites with my two children in May of this year. We had a horrific time here. There were unsavory characters in the room adjacent to us and across the hall, smoking marijuana. They kept me up all night long with their loud, inappropriate music, their loud talking, and the doors slamming throughout the night. They were saying inappropriate things at breakfast and made us feel unsafe. (As an aside, the breakfast itself is absolutely disgusting. I have stayed in various hotels around the world, sampling the various breakfasts. The food that they purchased here could hardly be considered food. It was literally inedible. I am not being overdramatic when I say, that I literally spit out the food. I told my children not to eat it once I tasted it. They must spend very little money on the groceries). After complaining to Howard, the front desk manager, about the weed smoking, racist, Individual staring at me as I entered my room and making comments in the morning, Howard came onto my floor and Assured me that he did not smell anyone smoking weed. He told me to call the police. Imagine that! He wanted me to call the police on someone on my floor. I asked him not to come to my room with the police so that the people would not see that I was the one who called as this would make me feel unsafe. He did the opposite and brought the police right to my door. After the police left, admitting that they too smelled the marijuana smoke, I literally hid in my room until some of the patrons across the hall left. I was anxiously telling my children not to make a sound as we hid behind the door watching through the peephole until some of the party people across the hall gathered their enormous fan that they were apparently using to blow the weed smoke out of the window, and left as quickly as they could. Some of them were still staying at the hotel and it ruined the rest of our stay. I was scared that someone would retaliate against me and my children. My husband was not with us and I felt very unsafe. Afterwards, I attempted to contact Shane, the general manager of the facility, and he sent me an email claiming that after investigation on his part there was no wrongdoing on the part of his staff.....Apparently my feelings and those of my children do not matter. Apparently the overall, horrible experience at their facility, does not matter. Apparently, Customer Service and the safety of patrons at their facility does not matter. Buyer beware... read more

Spent two nights there last September and was more than pleased. So naturally this last week when my family of five needed a place to stay close to home due to some flooding and repairs that displaced us we stuck with what we knew best and after spending another week we were not disappointed. Everything was clean super clean. I love the showers there that was such a plus. The staff was always and I mean always helpful and friendly with any of our needs. Anything. House keeping was sweet and did our rooms many times and was fast and friendly. The breakfast was very good. My partner and our three boys loved how we always were able to start our day with coffee, juice and a wide assortment of food to choose from. And fresh at that! The pool was always clean, the hot tub was super awesome to enjoy. The fitness center has a nice little assortment of things to try. He hours for the pool, fitness center and breakfast are very accommodating. It's right behind the main drag so it's super quiet. But not too far where you would get lost. Wifi worked smooth. The sound was super quiet. Like we couldn't hear ANY body other than someone walking by the hall ever. I'm always nervous spending time at hotels with my children but never ever ever feel uncomfortable, or unsafe here. In a trying time this place gave us some normalcy and comfort. I will stay here anytime over and over again. They even have coffee and lemon water in the front corridor, vending machine and laundry machines as well. The rooms were stocked with a lot of amenities one would need and we stayed in a standard double bed room and had a frig, microwave, closet space with an iron and ironing board, coffee maker, tv with a nice variation of channels including hbo. And the beds are to die for! Super super super comfortable I slept just as good as I did at home if not better. I can honestly continue to go on. I highly recommend them! And I'm typically picky about where to bring my precious cargo. And being a large family it's key we feel at home. They are legit amazing!! Check them out. We just checked out today after a week!!! We stay here every year for an event at the Big E. Room was clean and tidy. Reasonable rate. Staff was very efficient, especially the lady who kept the breakfast room fully stocked. Breakfast is typical Comfort Inn: eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, etc. We will be back next year. read more
