Some background- our family was originally put into the shared care program as there was no MP available to take new clients. No problem. However, when my child grew older , I wanted him to have a regular doctor . So I approached the clinic many times about this and finally , this Dr. Kaler took our family as clients ( she jumped on the opportunity to take more clients ) . Everytime we go see her for my child, if we ask one extra question that is unrelated to what we went in for , she will ask us to book another appointment . She always seems distracted and doesn't seem to be actively listening to anything we say , we have to keep reminding her. Last month I went in for a check up , and she was one hour late . She came in , laughing , saying lunch took longer today. Seriously? My time is not worth anything then ? Yesterday I went in for a check up on my persistent coughing . She gave me some antibiotics and was very unfriendly (maybe I was wasting her time ) . I just went to the pharmacy , and the manager there refused to prescribe me the antibiotics as they were not supposed to be used for sinus infection ! Also, this type of antibiotics apparently had lots of side effects and most doctors do not prescribe them any longer . I am still waiting for the clinic or doctor to call me back with a new prescription ! This is extremely unprofessional and I cringe to think what could happen if I was alot sicker or that the meds were for my child. Needless to say , I am thankful that at least the pharmacist was doing her job. Will be changing doctors !!

My first doctor when I moved back was Sharona Koeler/Supernault of which I have read the worst possible reviews, all from women patients. My experience with her instead, has been very positive. I think some patients are too impatient and have the ability to make any doctor uncomfortable to deal with them. Years ago, my wife went through a terrible period dealing with cancer, she was referred to a surgeon who was described as very good but with a bad attitude with patients. Our experience with him was the best possible in a situation like that. He was very gentle, caring and very well mannered. I think doctors, like every other human beings, are rude with people who deserve to be treated rudely. Next to doctor Koeler, who moved to another clinic, I am being followed by doctor Megan Hurley while I am having some health troubles. She has been since the first visit, even if I wasn't a patient of hers, very caring, willing to listen and to explain, excellent in remembering my problems, following up with test results and further investigations and helpful in finding solutions to facilitate further tests. Last but not least, she is not afraid to smile, and sometimes a smile is already a good medicine. Exactly what every family doctor should be.
