My husband was in the rehab section of Paramount of South Hills. He received excellent,…read moreindividualized care. Every member of his team treated him with respect and compassion. The entire staff at Paramount were pleasant and helpful and you can tell that they all enjoy their work and that they truly care about the patients. The nursing staff were excellent! While I hated for my husband to have to be there, the obvious dedication and compassion of the staff made me feel comfortable leaving him in their capable hands. My husband received speech therapy, and, in the short time that he was there, we noticed definite improvements in his speech and comprehension. Occupational therapy and physical therapy also were great--both in the services provided and the advice as to how to adapt his environment and his activities. The facility is very clean, the rooms are spacious, and the dining and lounge areas were comfortable and inviting. My husband enjoyed a variety of foods and was provided with alternatives if he did not want what was on the standard menu. I'm hoping he won't expect that same variety and flexibility now that he's home. If you are in need of a rehabilitation facility, I highly recommend Paramount South Hills.

Now its been 3months & even paying for extra care I got a call Dad took a walk & went of path 1 block. He was not sure how to get back? Called abandonment to Villaige & NOW he needs constant supervision unil we relocate him. HERE IS THE MOST CARZY THING $75.00 per hour extra thats $1800 per day on top of the $6100. another thing dad needed INR done- number never sent to company. We moved my father to Juniper Village in July of 2024. He was only there for 16 days. During that…read morevery short period of time, we were rarely able to get in touch with the staff. They are definitely extremely understaffed. He had 3 bad falls, 3 trips to the ER, and ended up with a severe subdural hematoma. After consulting several medical professionals, we were advised to move him to hospice. While in hospice, (at Canterbury Place), he got the care he so desperately needed and definitely did not get at Juniper Village. We simply couldn't risk a 4th fall or a 5th! In fact, no one could ever explain what actually happened. During his stay, we were told by several staff members on multiple occasions that my dad was very aggressive, extremely disruptive at meal time, and in general, a very difficult resident. However, Lisa, the director, described him as friendly, engaged, and building bonds with other residents in the community! My dad was a very angry man. I can't see him building bonds with anyone! Also, due to some false / fabricated information, my mom and I were banned from the home to visit him! Banned! Can you imagine? We will never know what that did to my father! He passed away peacefully back in August. I would never recommend that facility. I get chills up and down my spine whenever I'm in Monroeville. It all comes back to me!
