They ruined my mother's cookware by not properly cleaning it and we had to replace it. One of the aides stole clothes that were stored in suitcases in the basement. Many of them talked on the phone for prolonged periods of times and behaved negatively toward my mom when she wanted them to attend to her. One of the aides actually walked around singing while my mom tried to entertain a guest. There are other companies in the same price range that actually know how to treat seniors. Stay away from this company. They talk a great game, but fail to deliver.

They were great--they came right away and provided a lovely full-time caregiver who really cared about my mom. When she was back on her feet in independent senior living, we continued to use Visiting Angels to help in the morning and dinnertime. When she moved to Assisted Living in that facility, she needed extra help in the morning to shower, get dressed and eat breakfast and lunch. Visiting Angels was there no matter the need. The caregivers are professional, kind, caring and responsible. Special shout out to Betsy and Jackie who my mom adored because not only did they help but they were great company for her. I believe the great care she received from Visiting Angels was responsible for helping my mom live to 102 with all her faculties intact. The ower, Steve, and the office staff, especially Donna, were always responsive even after hours and extremely helpful with whatever issue arose. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this agency. Home Instead Senior Care used high pressure sales tactics on my single 86 year old mother to sign a…read morecontract. They were told by my mother that see wanted to try the service and see if it was a good fit. They charged $130 for a health care evaluation for there own baseline. They secured a security deposit for 2 weeks of service @ 8 hours per week 16 hours total. There home health care aid had no cooking skills, was not herself health conscious and provied little or no amenable care other than to chat up my mother @ $32/hr. After 4 days of 4 hours of service my mother decided it was not a good fit and called Home Instead to cancel services. 4 days latter they withdrew another 2 weeks pay out of my mothers account of which my mother had reversed. Then they then sued us in Superior Court for none payment. There was no phone call from Home Instead to discuss the matter or fined a resolution. This company was a predator and created a-lot of unnecessary stress when it can to my mother and our family!

I was originally told that I should expect a time schedule of 6 to 10 months before I could expect my Prosthetic leg with a lengthy time learning to walk on it. I have been very fortunate to have one of the best Rehab teams anywhere. In the last 2 1/2 months I have gone from relying on my wheelchair to walking on my prosthetic leg with a walker to now learning to use a cane. The Rehab Department is made of a group of individuals all working as a team with their patients healing the number one goal. Lead by a wonderfully kind caring woman Megha the Department Head each person brings a unique array of talents to the table to ensure a complete understanding of the patient's needs and how to best accomplish the necessary goals needed to help them improve. Jeff, Joel, Neha, Lisa, Loukik and Carrie are one great team. They all work together without egos getting in the way. Each has a special talent to motivate and inspire their patients to move forward on a daily basis. These talented people are all responsible for my quick and amazing recovery. They took me from post-surgical doubts about ever walking again to walking right now with a walker and now learning to walk with a cane. They never once let me quit and their positive feedback made me try even harder. My progress is in large part to their dedication to their belief in their patients' abilities and their skills as rehab specialists. You will be very hard-pressed to find a more dedicated team or better group of people to help you go through Rehabilitation for any problem.

The…read moredoctors, the nurses, the aides, the physical therapists were all really, really great at their jobs, kind and helpful, exactly what you would hope for. The social workers on staff (or whom I refer to as the Harbingers of Death) are a whole different story. Some words I would use to describe the social workers I dealt with: Demeaning, condescending, argumentative, difficult, compassionless, insensitive, unfeeling, cruel and empathy-deficient. My experience with the social workers was pretty awful. My final conversation with them about my mother deteriorated into a yelling match with the social worker ending the conversation by hanging up on me. Of the multiple phone calls and voicemail messages my family collectively left the lead social worker... I do not believe she returned a single one. Finally on the day of my mothers discharge, my mother said we were supposed to have an exit meeting with the social worker to go over care plans. We waited and waited... Finally we went looking for her. When we asked her about the exit meeting... With a big plastic smile on her face she said there was no need for one and goodbye. So we took my mother home. I really hope that my experience with the social workers at Bartley was the exception and not the norm and that the patients and their families are getting the information they need to get through their difficult time. I also hope I never have to deal with those Bartley social workers again.

The facility is decrepit and dirty. The second floor smells of nothing but urine. I worked in…read morehospital settings and have never smelled any care unit, long term or otherwise that smelled this disgusting. Also, they disregard patient rights, catering to family members with ill intent. On their cameras, if they have them and had they paid any attention, they would see a family member horse collaring a patient. Yet they cater to this person, and isolate the patient against their will. After speaking to the Ombundsman of the Center for Aging, Veterans Affairs, my attorney, and my father's VA advocate (whom the facility and the family member used as a scape goat to deny the patient's rights) all told me this was illegal. They deny patients the opportunity to speak to or see their family members based on the wishes of the power of attorney. As I said, this is illegal based on the information conveyed by ALL the above sources. They have also taken incorrect notes regarding calls of the patient. If they can not take proper notes, how could their charting POSSSIBLY be done accurately and correctly? Charting is the way in which a facility covers their ass and ensures patient safety, i.e documenting medication, baths, incidents, etc. If they fraudulently note phone calls, what should we expect from their charts? They don't have the common sense to note that more than one phone may be under a single cell phone account. My father was denied calls from me, his daughter, because my cell phone number is under my mothers account, his ex wife. They did not, however, note the number was not my mothers which they easily could have, as I left them my phone number, and my step mother has my telephone number. So, duh! Also the halls are lined with equipment which according to several oversight agencies this is considered highly unsafe and is not allowed. However, patients in wheel chairs find it very difficult to move through the halls. Apparently, this facility has a very high fall rate as well, which is no surprise. Emergency services would struggle to navigate the halls in a code blue situation. Of course, its likely the nursing staff would take a while to notice that someone had stopped breathing since while I was there a patient was yelling for over an hour and a half because they were sitting in filth. NO ONE HAD CHECKED ON THE POOR LADY. We had to seek help ourselves. The facility is falling apart. Light fixtures hanging, wall paper hanging... The excuse? COVID. COVID was years ago. Come on. This place should be shut down. I also wouldn't feed a dog the food they feed their patients. The nursing home business is quite lucrative so this is very indicative of how their administrators and directors feel about their patients worth. This facility should be shut down. Dying here, neglected and alone, are people's family members, Veterans, loved ones, HUMAN BEINGS! ROSEVIEW SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. Can't wait for the Department of Health to get involved.
