She sat in her wet clothes for 3 1/2 hours because no one bothered to check on her. They also did not do the daily requirements that her doctor had for her. This place is awful if anyone wants to send their relative there I am so sorry they will come out worse than they went in. They also offered I can pay out-of-pocket for her to stay there for long-term. She went in there to get better not get worse. I would never send anybody there not a relative not even an animal this place is horrendous and does not care about people.

Long story short, she spent a month in CCU and passed away last month. Despite using the Meridian name, they do not share any services with the hospital. My mom has to wait for prescriptions to come from Linden, despite the fact that the hospital has a pharmacy and is about 100 feet away. Anyone considering a nursing home for their loved-one should become fully informed on c diff infections and institutional pneumonia, which are pervasive in many such facilities.

Home Instead Senior Care used high pressure sales tactics on my single 86 year old mother to sign a…read morecontract. They were told by my mother that see wanted to try the service and see if it was a good fit. They charged $130 for a health care evaluation for there own baseline. They secured a security deposit for 2 weeks of service @ 8 hours per week 16 hours total. There home health care aid had no cooking skills, was not herself health conscious and provied little or no amenable care other than to chat up my mother @ $32/hr. After 4 days of 4 hours of service my mother decided it was not a good fit and called Home Instead to cancel services. 4 days latter they withdrew another 2 weeks pay out of my mothers account of which my mother had reversed. Then they then sued us in Superior Court for none payment. There was no phone call from Home Instead to discuss the matter or fined a resolution. This company was a predator and created a-lot of unnecessary stress when it can to my mother and our family!
