Both times I came here, (once in the daylight and once at night), I struggled to see the entrance to the curvy driveway which goes straight up a hill where the hotel sits. Please... a sign at road level (lit at night) is imperative. I was side-swiped by a car both times as I inched along trying to find the driveway entrance. Met the clerk at the motel (who met us at the office since no one is there 24/7) and checked in which was a very easy process. She was very personable and friendly. She informed they recently got a new mayor who is very ATV friendly....which hopefully will boost business. The room was very clean and loved that it included a refrigerator and microwave. The tiled bathroom floor and tiled entry area were pretty sticky and the carpet didn't look completely vacuumed. But overall the cleanliness was good. There isn't a coffee maker in the room but I did notice there is one in the lobby. But since no one is in the lobby 24/7 and it remains locked, I'm not sure how someone would access it. There is WIFI but it was pretty weak...assuming the equipment is in the office and my room was the farthest one away. Overall, it's a cute motel that's comfortable and has most of the necessities. It sure beats driving in the dark on some of these windy roads. Highly recommend!

We discovered it during a long, late-night trip, and when we arrived, we were greeted with genuine Southern hospitality. Even that late, they offered us a meal and got us checked in quickly. The rooms were very clean and stocked with all the amenities you could need. The river view is absolutely beautiful, and the whole area is peaceful and relaxing. The front desk area of the hotel also hosts an antique shop, as well as a fabric and yarn store. The entire area is so quaint - we fell in love with it.

Since we were there for a night, we didn't use too many of the amenities available. The shower pressure was great! If we found ourselves in this area again, we would choose McCoy's for a night in for sure.
