The good: plenty of parking at no charge and the breakfast was included. The room had a full size refrigerator and mini kitchen, which was nice. The bad: Constantly under construction with wires hanging from the ceiling. Front desk was not friendly or helpful. I had electrical outlet screws scattered across my room, 9 in total. Unfortunately, I stepped on 5 of them barefooted before I found them all. I took them to the front desk, and all she could say was, "That's weird " I asked for a water bottle fill station and she said it's in the gym. There wasn't a fill station. I told her and she said, "I guess it's not in yet" How about you learn a little about the place where you work! The shampoo bottle had been opened and the dish soap was empty. After housekeeping came, I had to ask for more soap. I inquired about checkout and if my receipt would be emailed. They said yes and 3 days later I had to call and ask for the receipt. That was an ordeal in itself. Nobody would answer the phone so I had to call the new reservation line. They keep trying to get me to buy promotional vacations and said I have to call the non reservation line. What a joke. I recommend staying somewhere else, even if you have to pay more. I recently booked a room at this hotel even though I live in the area. Due to recent events in my personal life, I just needed a quiet place to be by myself and have a restful night's sleep. NOTE: This hotel sits right next to Route 95 in the Jessup/Elkridge area. But to actually get here, you will be going through a residential area with several turns in both directions. Listen to your GPS, they will guide you here! My reservation was made for a King Suite Accessible room as I need the provided bars in the bathroom and shower for assistance and safety. The bathroom had a low entry tub and along with the installed bars, it worked for me. The room was comfortable and clean. And huge! Upon walking in, there is a living room sort of area with sofa, coffee table, desk/chair and TV. Then you walk into the area where the bathroom/tub is on one side and a sink vanity on the other side. Through another door is the bedroom area which also has a TV and padded bench for luggage or seating. There is also a closet in this room with a full length door mirror. I was on the second floor, there is an ice machine room next to the elevators, you need your room key card for entry. Shower pressure was great, water was hot enough. I slept very well. Breakfast offerings were the standard fare of various cereals, yogurt, two waffle machines and sausage and those hotel eggs. Also, bread and bagels for toasting and some packaged mini muffins. There is an indoor pool and exercise room but I did not have time to check those amenities out. DISCLAIMER: No, this is not a five-star or even a four-star hotel. May 9-10, 2025. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. When I checked into my room, I was greeted with used toiletries left on the sink, no soap, and no bath mat--just an empty spot where a towel should've been. The light switches near the entrance didn't work, so I had to stumble in the dark to find the bathroom light in the middle of the room. The room had cracked outlets and damaged walls, making the entire place feel unsafe and neglected. The worst part? Bedbugs. I have photo proof, which I showed to both the Southwest representative who booked the hotel and the night clerk on duty around midnight on May 10 (a young Black woman who was courteous and yet not very helpful despite the situation as she never told her manager, nor did the young man the next morning). I was moved to another room that had blood stains on the pillow in the shape of bedbugs--an absolutely sickening experience. To make matters worse, management refuses to return my calls or those of Southwest. There's been zero accountability. The breakfast the next morning was inedible, with food and coffee all over the floor. Clearly, cleanliness and guest care are not priorities here. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I strongly advise anyone considering a stay here to look elsewhere. The location was in an easy to get to hidden location. Check in was fast and easy. The first room we receive, had filthy couch cushions, and a bathroom light that flickered, and never stayed lit. There were NO maintenance personnel on duty to repair light. We were allowed to return to desk and provided another room on the same floor. The second room had couch cushions that were filthier than the first rooms! We had to return to desk to request sheets for sofa bed because the couch was TOO filthy to sit upon. I SANITIZED THE ROOMS MYSELF!!! The bathrooms are dated, tubs chipped and also needed additional sanitizing! We were even more disappointed when we were told the pool would be closed until MONDAY! We had reservations scheduled for two nights stay at Comfort Suites and also have family that we requested to book and stay at Comfort Suites for two nights for a pool birthday celebration! We are so appalled and saddened at the experience of this Comfort Suites!!! I would recommend another hotel stay rather than this Comfort Suites! read more

We weren't originally planning on staying at a hotel before our flight out of BWI but since we had to be there so early (0600) we decided to look for a hotel nearby. Carissa was able to find a suite large enough to accommodate four people (two queen beds + sleeper sofa) for $129 thru choicehotels.com with just two days notice! The Good: -Cheap AF! (See above) -Only a fifteen minute drive to BWI -Fast check-in -Free complimentary breakfast (0630) that we were unable to partake of. -Room AC worked very well The Meh -The guy checking us in had long checked out on life, but at least he was efficient at his job. -The neighborhood is a bit iffy, at best. The surrounding houses looked new but there was still a lot of shifty characters lurking about. -Hotel isn't the cleanest and seen better days. The air had a funky smell that was a mix of feet, cleaning chemicals and maybe a hint of smoke. -Indoor pool was tiny and not heated -Free Wi-Fi that worked well enough but was abysmally slow for certain apps. The Ugly -Bed was awful―hard, springy and just plain uncomfortable. I slept poorly, and my shoulders and back were sore. But, with that said, I'm a big baby when it comes to beds so take it fwiw. Overall not a bad place to stay, especially given the rate and proximity to BWI. read more

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars it that some people had did a little toking in one of the rooms on our floor. Beyond the hotel's or is it? Start checking into it and charge these people the $250 that is agreed to at check in for violating the no smoking policy and things like this may end. I selected this hotel because the rating on the site was 4.5. This rating had to be manipulated somehow. The room was old and dusty, the indoor pool was old, small, crowded and extremely loud. The main issue I had was waking up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Once the lights went on, the roaches scattered!! Me having a phobia of bugs, couldn't sleep the rest of the night... I kept making sure I roaches weren't on me and my children... awful!!! Even as we were packing up to check out, we saw a few roaches crawling on the walls. I WENT HOME washed everything we brought and all of us (me and my two children) jumped in the shower right away!.... All they had for breakfast was muffins and yogurt, and the coffee was AWFUL...I guess you get what u pay for, but the roaches are inexcusable!! read more

We stayed last night 7/13/21. The lobby was nicely furnished and our room was clean and a very nice size. My concern is that we called ahead to make sure the pool was open and it was, but the water was so cloudy I was uncomfortable the entire time my sons were swimming in it. I didn't even want my feet in it as you couldn't see anything below the surface. It is in need of some major attention. My boys would have been so upset if we hadn't let them swim, but every time I think about it I worry what they were exposed to and wish they hadn't jumped right in. read more

This Comfort Suites is one of the better hotels located in Jessup. It is tucked away in a residential neighborhood, so it can be a little hard to find. The hotel is quiet enough for you to get a decent nights rest, and it is priced well. This hotel does not have the amenities of a Marriott or the Westin, so please don't expect that before you arrive. The front desk person is always friendly, and the rooms are always clean. If you need a decent place to stay that has a little more space, this is a good spot for you. read more

No one was at the desk upon arrival. Staff seemed overwhelmed and were unprofessional. We reserved the suite with the whirlpool, which ended up being a waste of money. The whirlpool had cigarette ashes in it when we arrived. We cleaned it out. But when turning on the water, all this nasty spewed out into the water. It was disgusting, and my husband and I were mortified. Also, the breakfast left much to be desired. We didn't end up eating the breakfast and just went to the IHOP down the street. This hotel is in a strange place. My GPS said it was accessible from the main road but it is not. You have to weave your way through a neighborhood to get to it. But once you find it you'll be happy with the location. There is some street noise from the busy intersection and I-95 nearby but if you are used to some noise it will be fine. We stayed here for New Year's and it was great. The hotel is very clean and the employees are friendly. We got takeout one of the nights we were here and they were happy to give us some plastic utensils to use from behind the desk. The front desk service was super friendly, by the way. In particular Lakshmi was extremely friendly and even called to check in on how our stay was going on the second day. Bonus points for that gesture. We didn't take advantage of their free breakfast but it smelled delicious when we walked by. Just be careful with getting there and don't get lost and you'll be happy you selected this hotel. Just also be aware that it's about 12-15 minutes from Columbia...so if you're looking for something in Columbia you might want to pick a closer property. Great stay, great service. We would stay here again if the opportunity were to come up. The WiFi is stable BUT very slow at times. We brought our own hotspot. Also...there seemed to be somebody hacking the network while we were there as there was a false SSID showing up. We were smart enough to avoid connecting to it. read more

I stayed for 2 night stay from Friday June 5th to Sunday June 7th. The room I booked was the King Bed Suite with a jacuzzi tub in room with accessible shower. I preceded to turn on the jacuzzi tub and fill it up, initially everything was fine. However once I turned the jets on dirt from the uncleaned tub emitted out and got around the tub and then the tub was filled with dirt particles. I was shocked, and immediately displeased. My boyfriend trying to make things better calls the front desk to see if housekeeping can come clean the tub. However he is instructed by the front desk clerk that the housekeeping staff has left and he would have to clean it himself. I am irritated at that moment because I payed $300+ dollars for a hotel experience but am instructed to clean a tub that should have already been previously clean before guests enter the room. I then go to the front desk to speak with the associate. She gives me options saying that, "the manager wont be in until monday, and I can either clean the jacuzzi or switch rooms for the night. But all the rooms were booked because there were no more available jacuzzi rooms for the weekend". However with the amount of dirt that was in the tub it needed to be cleaned 3+ times with an immense amount of towels and paper towels. I wanted to give it no stars but that wasn't allowed. We visited the Comfort Suites in Elkridge, MD for a quick overnight stay. The hotel is easily seen from the 175 highway as it on the corner but really confusing to access. If you dont pay close attention you will miss it and drive in to a bunch of dead end streets trying to get out of an apartment complex. The hotel itself is clean and tastefully decorated. The pool was a bit on the small side but clean. We got a room with two beds and a pull out couch. It was very spacious and had a well thought out layout. We loved the seperate room for sofa. The bathroom was clean and well kept. The only complaint we had was the 2nd floor hallway smelled upon entering. For $105 on a Friday its a god value and we would stay again read more

Just completed a 5 night stay at this hotel. My room was never cleaned the entire time. I ran out of Kleenex, coffee for the in room coffee maker, towels and washcloths. There was never anyone at the front desk. One of the days there was no hot water for a shower. Someone tried to enter my room one of the nights, but I had the metal lock bolted, so they could only open the door an inch or so. I had to get new key cards twice. Due to COVID19 there was no breakfast, so they promised there would be sack breakfasts in the lobby. Only one of the days had the sack breakfasts, and there was only one left. Another day, I needed to go to the lobby for coffee since I didn't have any in my room, but there was no coffee in the lobby either. The sign on the front desk said "returning in 10 minutes". I waited 20 minutes and no one showed up. This was the worst hotel experience in my life! read more

I stayed in this hotel 9/13/19 to 9/15/19 and my first night was horrible. My hotel toilet did not work and they didn't have it fixed til after 3pm the next day. They offered me another room at the same price but it did not have the jacuzzi so I stayed. I was told by front desk that maintenance would be there in the morning at 8A.M and I'll be the first one they service, no one came. I called front desk several times, then I called corporate and was "sorry for the inconvenience and they would discount my first night" Upon checkout front desk knew nothing about my discount and the manager told me he couldn't give me a discount but if I rent another time he would hook me up. I don't plan on going back, besides the lack of service, the parking is horrible, I hope this help saves customers from going through what I went through. read more

This hotel was rated highly on the Choice website. But it's nowhere close to a 4.3 stars. Our room 217 had mold behind the wallpaper in the bathroom. The microwave was filthy. The reception for the TV was poor the first couple of days. The hot breakfast items didn't rotate daily like most Comfort Suites. (With the OJ having a very off taste.) I travel and inspect hotels for a living and this doesn't cut it for the Comfort Suite brand. No shuttle service to the airport is also a minus in my book. I booked a room specifically for the jacuzzi tub. The first room I was given smelled like marijuana. I walked in and walked right back out. I went to change rooms and one of the workers were sniffing like he smelled something. I asked what did he smell and he said marijuana. Sir, that is from being in one of your rooms for 20 seconds. I do not smoke. Then I was given another room, went to the room and realized it was different that what I booked. When back downstairs to the front desk. Was reassigned another room. I went to the room and it appeared to be ok. I left out to get some food. I came back an hour later to get in the jacuzzi but and realized there were no knobs to turn on the after. So I was at a level of "pissitivity" that one may not understand. I remained calmed and called to the front desk. The employee came in to see what the issue was and he was lost. He said, "should this have a faucet". Yes sir, it should. Then it took an hour of him trying to contact the manager and or find another room. I packed up and went to the front desk because I got tired of waiting for a resolution. The employee said he was waiting for his manager to contact him and he got busy with the front desk. Sir, I have been here for 3 hours with room issues. He then said, "the initial room does not smell like marijuana anymore". I can only laugh. Sir, I am not sleeping in a room that has a scent like that. I do not smoke. Please refund me my money. The refund process was the best experience I had. Regardless of how many stars a hotel has if an amenity is offered and purchased, it should be operable. And why are you not aware of the order in a "cleaned" room. read more

If I could have our ZERO starts I would, but I had to put something or it would not post! We will NEVER stay here again! My husband has started here for over 2 years every other week. He come down there for cancer treatments. The past few months have been awful. We are charged double for 1 night of stay. The receipt is NEVER under the door. He had had to wait up to 15 minutes for the desk person to come out of the back room. He's tried calling the hotel while standing in the waiting area, only for no-one to answer! Tonight my husband checked in, out all his belongings in the room out it his meds, pulled the bed sheets back and then left for dinner. Came back his key wouldn't work. Was heading back down to the front desk but meet the front desk guy in the hall. The clerk said did I just give you such and such room? My husband said yes and my key doesn't work! The clerk preceded to say I gave your room to someone else! The person packed up my husband's belongings little did my husband know not ALL of his stuff wasn't in the bag! He got the key to the room (his room). When getting in he's noticed some of his stuff was still in the room asking with the other person's smelly food! I could go on about this place but no need, we will not be staying here EVER again! And chances are we won't here a word from comfort inn and suites! read more

I booked a room in this hotel based on the reviews. I usually book a room around BWI, but thought I'd give this one a try. While the hotel is acceptable, the photos they post put the hotel in a most favorable light that we didn't find actually existed. The hotel is in a depressed area. Not inner city depressed, just on a junky dead end street occupied by parked tractor trailers and a full size discarded sofa. The entrance to the hotel is really at the back. The stucco on the support posts of the overhang at the entrance were apparently struck by a truck as both had extensive damage and yellow caution tape wrapped around each support post. A dead tree just on the outside of the hotel's fencing fell over and onto the fencing. That is near the front entrance. The hotel just didn't make a good first impression. The whole hotel has that stench of a strong cleaning solution. From what we saw of the hotel it is basically a tidy facility, but it just has a low-end, used hard appearance to it. Our room, while clean, had a worn look to it. The bathtub floor was dark. It had been cleaned, but it had something on the surface that made it dark, as if a car mechanic covered in grease showered and the grease that came off him had stained the tub. There was a sizeable chip/crack on the floor of the tub. The floor of the tub was very slippery when wet. It appears someone found that out and grabbed hold of the shower curtain rod while falling. The tub enclosure on both ends of the shower rod was cracked and they did a shabby job of putting the rod and shower curtains back up. Mildew was starting to pop up in crevices of the tub enclosure. Wallpaper seams in the bathroom were coming away from the wall. The window unit air conditioner had an annoying rattle to it when the unit's compressor kicked on. We did not have much interaction with the staff except the two ladies that worked the breakfast area in the morning. Both were extremely pleasant and helpful. They have a four piece toaster that won't stay down no matter which arm you slide down. You had to stand there and actually hold the arm down until your bread/bagel was toasted. One of the ladies offered to stand there and hold the handle down until my bagel was done. Now that's service. Stupid that the hotel can't spend $40 for a new toaster, but it was customer service that went above and beyond. In the future when I make a trip up to Baltimore and want or need to spend the night, I'll stick to getting a room at one of the many hotels around BWI airport. But if I were a laborer being put up by my employer because of a job in the area and not on a weekend getaway or on vacation, this place would be just fine. read more

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times ~ and will stay here whenever I'm in this part of MD. The rooms, lobby, business center, pool area, and "gym" are always clean. The service & staff are always exceptional. They are polite, respectful, professional, AND have a great sense of humor. The hotel is located near BWI, the Arundel Mills Mall, and is at the crossroads to get you to any place in MD! It's off the "beaten path" (behind a beautiful neighborhood) but if you use your GPS, you'll find it easily! read more
