The hotel was decent. The rooms were clean and pretty spacious. They had a pull out couch in the living room with a refrigerator and a microwave, which came in handy as well as a sink vanity combo in the hall across from the bathroom (Bathtub/shower/toilet). The price was right and you get what you pay for. Don't expect a 5 hotel, but it is still a decent value option!!

    Well, at least it ain't dial-up?! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We weren't originally planning on staying at a hotel before our flight out of BWI but since we had to be there so early (0600) we decided to look for a hotel nearby. Carissa was able to find a suite large enough to accommodate four people (two queen beds + sleeper sofa) for $129 thru choicehotels.com with just two days notice! The Good: -Cheap AF! (See above) -Only a fifteen minute drive to BWI -Fast check-in -Free complimentary breakfast (0630) that we were unable to partake of. -Room AC worked very well The Meh -The guy checking us in had long checked out on life, but at least he was efficient at his job. -The neighborhood is a bit iffy, at best. The surrounding houses looked new but there was still a lot of shifty characters lurking about. -Hotel isn't the cleanest and seen better days. The air had a funky smell that was a mix of feet, cleaning chemicals and maybe a hint of smoke. -Indoor pool was tiny and not heated -Free Wi-Fi that worked well enough but was abysmally slow for certain apps. The Ugly -Bed was awful―hard, springy and just plain uncomfortable. I slept poorly, and my shoulders and back were sore. But, with that said, I'm a big baby when it comes to beds so take it fwiw. Overall not a bad place to stay, especially given the rate and proximity to BWI.

This place is the best kept secret! ! So glad I had a chance to enjoy it with my Sweetie.jacuzzi was large beautiful and refreshing. Hotel is hidden away in a quiet residential area. Room was located on the fourth floor and fully stocked including a romantic fireplace. Loved it all and would definitely recommend and return! !

I suppose this place is fairly decent overall, just don't expect a restaurant or bar in the lobby, as they have neither. Housekeeping staff is pretty forgetful about leaving fresh soap, etc. on daily basis. Reminders / trips to the front desk will be necessary. Average at best.

My friend said they couldn't get out of bed the next day, due to how great they slept. Location is meh. You can see the hotel off the highway, quite a few turns to get there. No fault of the hotel. This caused a change in course of events from August-October. On the evening of Sunday, 8/6, we were told to plan for 2 nights in a hotel, and that the apartment would reimburse for up to $200/night. I decided to stay close to my office. So, I chose the Homewood Suites in Columbia convenient off 95 and MD-175. The hotel was very nice; I had a beautiful suite with two separate rooms facing the tennis court. On Monday, 8/7 I had a very easy commute to my office in Halethorpe. I had work travel to Largo that afternoon, but it still wasn't too horrible getting back to Columbia. That night I went to Old Navy/Target in Columbia to get a 2nd set of clothes for Tuesday (since I wasn't driving to VA [where I was living] to get that) and had Mission BBQ for dinner, which I plan on writing a review for. Unfortunately, the weather on that Monday was rainy & cool. So, it was bad timing to take advantage of the pool although as I recall I didn't think to take a swimsuit. The other thing I was not aware of was that there is a free happy hour on Monday-Thursday 5-7 PM at all Homewood Suites. Sometimes it's just snack foods, and sometimes it's a full meal; so perhaps, I could've gotten that instead of Mission BBQ. Tuesday morning, 8/8 I checked out of the hotel, but the story with this hotel doesn't end there. That afternoon I had work travel to DC & Arlington. Arlington work had put me close to home in Arlington near Bailey's Crossroads. I was ready to get my life back on track, but the electricity was still out. I asked the apartment manager, and she said to plan for one more night at a hotel. I was slightly annoyed, but I went with this Homewood Suites again. I hung out in Bailey's Crossroads to let the traffic die down some before I made my trek back closer to my office. Therefore, I missed the happy hour again (It runs 5-7 PM) as I arrived at about 8 PM. This time the room I got was a different style and while big was technically a lower tier room than the one I had, which was a disappointment, and it was about the same price since weekday rates are higher. It was still a nice room, but the bed was queen instead of king. The shower wasn't as fancy, not two rooms, etc. Since I had gone home that afternoon, I was able to pick up a swimsuit. I was able to take advantage of the pool, but the water was very chilly. It wasn't really good pool weather as temperatures were below average for August. The temp at 8:30 was only 69 F. I did enjoy the hot tub though. It got a little crowded with a couple of kids who splashed a bit in the hot tub, but the parents were keeping them under control. I met a guy in there (would've been better if I had met a girl), but I'll take whatever company I could get. He was in town for work for 2 weeks and from my hometown, Phoenix, along with several other people. So, we had more to talk about. I went back to the room, which faced the pool, which seemed nice at first. That same group from Phoenix was drinking & making a lot of noise, which was a little annoying, but they eventually settled by the time I was ready for bed. Wednesday morning, I checked out of the room. Unfortunately, I found out from the apartment to plan for hotel stay until Friday, 8/11. However, the rates were going up beyond the $200/night limit. So, I went with a different hotel.

When I booked this location near BWI airport in Baltimore, it was a good one. I found this Red Roof Inn Plus hotel on hotels.com, my go to site for where to stay while traveling. I found a good deal there and proceeded to book. Room rates are decidedly on the cheaper end of the hotel spectrum, which made this brand attractive for the budget friendly crowd and myself. They're usually under $100/night, which is always good for the wallet. Upon arrival via uber on a rainy Friday evening, the check in was quick and easy. The check out process the next morning was also quick and easy, all the while, friendly and professional. Red Roof Inn is a basic hotel property brand that prides itself on being the hotel you can trust to rest your head. It is safe and the rooms are at least more aesthetically pleasing from Motel 6, but still a comfortable place to spend the night at an affordable price. While there are no bells and whistles here, you can appreciate the basic comforts of the hotel and don't have to pay for the unneeded extras. The overall experience here at the Red Roof Inn Plus hotel at BWI airport was quite nice. As long as I get in a good 8 hours of sleep, I am a happy camper and the experience was good. I opted for a king bed this time at this location and it worked out well. The bed comfort was quite nice and wished I stayed here for one more night, but it wasn't meant to be. Oh well, there's always a next time! Too bad the weather wasn't cooperating though during my stay. Rain rain. This Red Roof Inn Plus hotel is located at 4444 Main Street in the BWI airport area of Baltimore, Maryland. They accept major credit cards, like most hotels in the industry, and asks to see your drivers license (or other form of ID) upon check in. They have their own private parking for guests, which is awesome if you drive here in your own car or a rental car. I had to uber in and out from the area, which is also nice too. Not sure about public transportation options here, but however you get here, it's a good feeling to be here and sleep knowing you made a good decision on the Red Roof Inn hotel brand. For the most part though, the stay here was comfortable and safe. The room itself was clean and everything worked property. I didn't use the hotel WiFi, but I'm sure it was fine. Just didn't think to use it at the time of stay. The aforementioned king bed was quite comfortable and got my 8 hours of sleep on it before heading out into the world the next morning. What more can you love about a budget friendly hotel that is clean and a great sleep? I would definitely recommend the Red Roof Inn brand. While it can be said that quality of stay can be different for everyone under the brand, they strive to provide safe and clean accommodations to everyone at a reasonable price. If you are ever in the Baltimore BWI airport area, check this hotel property out and you'll be pleasantly surprised at what Red Roof Inn Plus Baltimore BWI has to offer. 4.5 stars for the ambiance and overall experience. 4.0 stars for the service. 4.5 stars for the room comfort and the king bed. Slept real good. Support local! B+
