I have stayed at this facility multiple times before and have never been as displeased as I was this time. The front desk staff was polite and friendly as always. The first room we were assigned wreaked of dampness and mildew that was so strong that it gave me a headache. In addition the bathroom sink would not drain, there was trash in the trash can, cob webs on the walls and the mattress was absolutely filthy!! This does not even note the amount of dust EVERYWHERE! When we moved to next room we found trash on the floor and gnats in the bathroom. The cleaning staff at this hotel is deplorable. I wasn't expecting 5 star accommodations but this place is absolutely filthy. The beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I was unable to get more than 2-3 hours of sleep the entire night. read more

I get my coffee ready for the morning and they have 4 coffee packages. All of them are decaffeinated. Very poor attention to detail. They don't care. I go down stairs to get some real coffee but the front desk has a line at 11 pm. Super slow service. I paid $160 per night plus tax and this is what I get. read more

The setting/location was very nice. The room was clean and spacious with a sitting area. The bathroom (113) needs updates and repairs to the baseboards and flooring- also no ventilation fan. The highlight of our stay was Dominique! She was so friendly and helpful & made us feel welcome and well taken care of. read more

I've stayed at literally hundreds of Choice Hotels properties in my years in business and this is one of the best. Nice, large, comfortable rooms and an attractive breakfast room with a good selection of morning eats. Clerks at both check-in and check-out very pleasant and efficient. My sister and her friend were going to stay there when they came up and visited. I am 21 and they are both 18. We had called multiple times to check to make sure it wasn't a problem that they were 18. When they tried to check in they denied them. This is after they had driven four hours out of town to a city where I'm the only person they know. If I wasn't here they would have just left 2 young girls in a foreign city to them to fend for themselves. Not only is that extremely dangerous but outright wrong. There were no issues with payment either we had multiple ways to pay. The lady at the desk was very rude until I pointed out how potentially dangerous THEIR mistake was. They gave us an extremely hard time to the point to where we couldn't even stay there. We did nothing against their policy and had all our stuff in check. Highly do not recommend staying here. (It's been a couple days since I posted this and still no reply from anybody. I personally reached out to the gm multiple times just to be ignored) read more

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my entire life. This facility doesn't even deserve a one star. The building is old and in terrible shape. The room had mold in the ceiling and in the AC. I had to turn off the AC to be able to breathe in the room...I already got sick from the black mold spores from the AC... I'm afraid I will end up with pneumonia or bronchitis after this stay. The furniture have stains and they don't clean the room everyday as they should. The bed sheets are old and some towels didn't smell clean. The shower drain flow was slow so you have to wait for the water to clear. PLEASE DONT STAY HERE. I doubt if the good reviews are even real. Choice Hotels site is terrible at allowing feedback and customer service wouldn't accept my feedback (this response). So, I came to Yelp. Stay: 7/29-7/30. 3rd floor. Additional care is needed for facility maintenance. The bath fan didn't work, mildew grew on the tub surround (should have been cleaned) and ceiling. Bath light shades were broken and missing. It made the room seem shabby and unkept. The room seemed musty and damp. The A/C didn't work well, however, it was a week of 100 degree temps. Breakfast had a good selection. The staff were all friendly and helpful and they're the best thing about the hotel. The stay was unsatisfactory because of the poor maintenance. read more

The people that rated this hotel with a 5 are crazy and must been in another state...this was the worst hotel ever...my stay was June 2nd to 5th 2023. I reserved 3 rooms and if it wasn't for traveling with an infant we would have slept in car...the first room they tried to give us had black mold around ceiling...they did give us another room however the rooms smell of mildew and humid no proper filtration in rooms...the bedding was horrible the sheets would not stay on the mattress which the mattress were stained badly...housekeeping never cleaned our rooms, when I inquired we were told they were shortstaffed...for two days we had no clean towels were told they had none...that is very unacceptable...we had to purchase towels...although staff apologized and was nice is does not excuse the poor quality of this hotel I hold upper management responsible for not making sure all issues are addressed...unfortunately I will never stay here again...I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. read more

Stayed here for one night while attending a wedding and it was pretty nice. They have pretty much everything you could want, like a pool, workout facility and hot breakfast in the morning. Service was also pretty friendly and the rooms were big and clean. I thought they were slightly pricey, but would definitely stay here again. read more

Comfort Suites has a great setup for families ~ two queens, pull-out couch, breakfast included. The front desk personnel were kind and welcoming. Entering our room, we were greeted by a strong musty smell. The air conditioning didn't help in dispelling it. After awhile, we got used to it, but could still smell it every time we entered the room. Eventually we determined the source of the smell was the comforters. The experience helps us understand Hampton's advertising "freshly laundered Duvets." Still, lovely pool area, friendly staff, otherwise clean facility. We'll try the brand again. read more

The rooms had a musty/mildew smell, the couch looked like it was picked up from the a dumpster and put in the room, the carpet looked horrible, and the tub looked all beat up and had strands of hair on the walls. Then we asked for towels 2 days in a row and the second day when we came back to the hotel for the night and seen room service had never stepped foot in the room to tidy up or leave towels, we went to the front desk to ask for some and they said they were out of towels. Like really??? How does a hotel run out of towels and the fact we still had our dirty towels from the 2 previous days piled up on the floor made me even more mad because why wouldn't housekeeping come collect towels if they seen they were running low? So that was definitely my first and last time ever staying at that hotel and would never recommend anyone staying there. One plus was the front desk lady was friendly and nice. read more

Stayed here for one night and this might be one of the best places I have stayed at in awhile. The rooms were nice and very clean. There was a large group of kids staying at the same time and there was no noise at all. The breakfast was ok but typical of Comfort Suites. The staff was alo ver nice. read more

To the people who have rated this hotel 5 stars, we must have been at two different locations. The check in staff was friendly and professional. That is about where the hood plays out. The room felt damp and musty upon check in. I figured the a/c would help that. Nope, the a/c was questionable at best. There was a good attempt at having a clean room but the black most and warped wood in the bathroom didn't help. The carpet was damp and dirty. The free breakfast was sub par. Terrible coffee some juice and small water bottles were there to accompany the watery powdered eggs and inedible biscuits. We opted out of it the second morning. At some point, the cleaner came by to empty the trash and take the soiled towels and bath cloths. The problem was, they did t leave any clean towels or wash rags. I asked an attendant in the hall about it. She told me to check with management because she didn't clean that room. We requested a fan to help move air in the room. They didn't have one. Overall, the only thing that saves this stay was the gentleman that checked us in. Other than that, the stay was a massive disappointment. The reviews lead me there but I will not make that mistake again. read more

Great location! Walking distance to MSU and places to eat. Nice lobby and staircase when you walk in. Staff was very friendly when we interacted. Free wifi. I'd say the room was just ok. My husband and son stayed there last night. The room was really nice and appeared clean. However, the closet smell like very dirty feet When they pulled back the sheets, it was obvious they had not been changed from at least the last guest. They had to go get their own sheets and put them on. Although they checked, when they get home, their stuff is staying outside until I can make sure there are no bedbugs. Since the sheets were very nasty, I'm feel sure they did not vaccume. Thought you would want to know. Staff was very friendly. read more

Beware... reviews seemed ok BUT our experience was not ok. About 10:45 Tuesday night a group of about 10 was checked in next door to us. Loud, banging, yelling. Contacted desk...did nothing. About 45 minutes later we couldn't sleep due to the noise so decided to go for a walk. Entire floor was smelling of drugs. Desk clerk admitted even lobby was smelling. We ran into another guest who was complaining and his clothes had been removed from dryer and thrown in trash but wife's underwear were left displayed on dryer. Since staff did absolutely nothing I was close to calling police myself but by midnight the noise was down. Elevator doors look like someone spit on them. 2 days and no one ever cleaned it.
