Out of the 4 requests on Yelp, 1 contacted me immediately, two contacted me the next day, and one never did. One of the Yelp that contacted me the next day never bothered to show up for our appointment, nor did he contact me that day. The three google companies, one contacted me back immediately, one in a couple of days but were booking work many weeks out, and one never did even though 2 separate requests were made about a week apart. Please please please do your research when contacting a tree service and do not put up with a company who ignores communication. Also, make sure they are licensed & insured. Anyway - back to CTE. I got the number from a friend who used them a couple years ago. Tommy called me back the same day, gave me options of when he could come out in the very near future. He sent me the contract and proof of insurance through email when he said he would. He did the work when he said he would. Him and his employee showed up not just on time, but early on both days they did work for us. ***Side note: Our job was a very, very large one. We had 1 oak tree in the front, and 2 in the back removed, as well as 4 additional oak trees trimmed.*** Tommy's prices beat competitors by a landslide, and he had equipment to get in our small back yard that others did not. Tommy and his employee were very friendly, and checked frequently with my husband and myself to make sure the work they were doing was acceptable for us. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I now feel much better going in to the upcoming hurricane season knowing we have done our best to maintain these trees.

They say they are gonna show up then don't...or say they are going to do something and don't...or nickel and dime you to death that your project ends up being 2X your budget. This is 100% not the case with this well run family business with the experience, equipment, license and insurance to back it up. This is the third time we have used Stewart's Tree service. Precarious trees overhanging the house? No problem. Huge pines leaning toward your neighbor after being hit by lightning? No problem. Tree trimming a wet oak so it doesn't drop branches on your head and look ugly? No problem. These guys have done it all for us. I'm a big believer in, "You get what you pay for". And they are not the cheapest but by far not the most expensive either. It has ALWAYS been fair for what we've asked. And we never feel like we are getting gouged. They are thoughtful when it comes to removing trees and safety is always a priority for them. The job site is always left clean just like they found it.
