If I could give zero stars I would. I have never been scammed by a company until Aardvark. I never had a company's owner hide from talking on the phone to me like an adult until I dealt with Aardvark. Sam Farmer the Manager insisted I pay $5600 in advance to have a tree cut down to its stump at my parents home. His exact words were "If it were up to me, you could pay after the job is done, but my business partner is insisting you pay in advance." He denied saying that even though he did twice right to my face. Once I paid, he said Aardvark would come back with a lift truck "asap" but they disappeared for a whole week. When I finally got ahold of them (via text of course because they don't like to talk directly), he said they would come back and do the job if I paid them another $4500. I responded that I was confused because I had already paid in advance for the tree to be cut down to its stump. Why would I pay another $4500?! They lied then and said they "never take payment in advance" and instead of giving me a receipt, they wrote up an illegable contract when I was not present and got my elderly dad to sign it instead of me. Sneaky! After I reported them to the FDAC, the owner Debbie finally came out of hiding and replied online saying she would revoke the charged payment to my credit card, but then she never did. Aardvark ended up being Sneaky scammers! When I realized I had been scammed and disputed the charge with my credit card, Sam Farmer sent me a threatening text from his phone and I had to file a police report and block his number. Aardvark continued to lie to my credit card, the BBB, the FDAC, and the attorney general claiming that they did the work that they were hired to do and were paid to do and claimed that I had requested "additional work" a week later which is ALL a lie. They had one job to do and they took payment and never did the job. They spent months trying to get away scammig me out of $5600! When Sam Farmer said they needed to come back with a lift truck...now I realize that was just his excuse to take the money and leave. I am SO disgusted how a company can treat a customer like that...and hide behind their cell phones texting like kids. It's disturbing and shameful. Aardvark is the worst, most childish, and evil company I have ever dealt with. (Even the tree company who I had to hire to cut down the tree that Aardvark got paid to do but never did stated that "Aardvark has a reputation for scamming customers.") They are Aweful, cruel, and Disgusting. I expect them to reply to this review with lies and nonsense just like they've been doing. they'll find a way to remove my review. I know they have scammed other customers so I know they are manipulating the google reviews and having the bad ones flagged and removed. they just can't stop being aweful. read more

The Aardvark Tree service scammed me and my family. They claim they don't take payment in advance, but Sam Farmer the manager insisted on taking payment in advance to cut a tree down to its stump. Excellent tree removal service and customer service! I spoke with Debbie the entire time, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure her team got the job done quickly and effectively. I was really nervous about getting rid of the giant oak tree on my property, but it was dead and could have been a disaster if it fell on its own. Aardvark was able to fell the tree expertly with no damage to my property. I'm thankful to Debbie and the Aardvark team for allowing me to have peace of mind now that that tree is gone! Very Impressed!! This company came out and and did a huge tree job at my house. Had multiple big oak limbs removed from over house as well as 1 full tree removed which required a crane. I was very worried until Johnny (Owner) came with his crew of 7 guys and various equipment and assured me everything would be handled safely. This job required a crane to remove the tree and after a 4 hours it was all completed. The yard was completely raked and there was no damage to my lawn because they placed boards down for bobcat to ride on. Very professional outfit and glad I used them. A+++ read more

i was leaving for a trip and noticed a rotten limb ready to fall onto my carport. i was calling tree service company;s as i was on the road. these guys ans the phone, scheduled an inspection, showed up and called me back asap. we reached an agreement on price , which was at bit lower than 2 others. they were there with no one home,no money in hand and cut tree down, cleaned up and were done within 2 days of my first call to them. old oak was in very bad shape rotten about 3/4 at base and they removed complete tree. i will used them again, would recommend them to my friends read more

My husband and I just had some serious tree removal done in anticipation of possible hurricanes. We ended up going with Aardvark Tree Service and were amazed at the professionalism of all the employees, the level of care (safetywise) they showed for one another and the fabulous job they did both with removal and cleanup. We had one other estimate which was about $50 less so I don't feel the price was out of the ballpark. I would highly recommend these people. They are, of course, licensed and insured which was also a must. read more

Homeowner's insurance required me to trim limbs over the roof. Large, older trees that I did not want damaged. Logan came out and surveyed the job and gave me a reasonable price. Very professional and nice team came out did the job. When the job was done the clean up was AMAZING. After the job was completed Logan did a walk thru with me to make sure I was satisfied. Had 2 very tall trees removed. There was limited access to the trees and so had to climb, limb and then rope the trunk sections down. Aardvark showed up on time, with an adequate professional crew to do the job quickly. They cleaned up the debris and left the site in good condition. First and foremost. The owner was on site and working just as hard as his team. These guys knew what they were doing. Such a great experience! Called to have several trees cut down and they were able to do it by the next business day. They had an extremely nice crew to take care of the project.
