You do have to sigh a waiver "Just in case they cut off an ear", as the receptionist puts it (she's kidding, I hope!) They also do other services, such as manicures, brow plucking, and colour. The amount of time it takes can vary a lot, so I suggest parking under Midtown Plaza and walking the two blocks if you drive there, as your appointment may easily overrun the 90 minutes allowed for street parking. There are a lot of bike rings to lock up to outside if you arrive on a bicycle. This isn't a place you can get in and out of in a hurry, but if you're short of cash it's a great alternative to the quickie cheap haircut franchises.
