Went here yesterday evening, got a fade from an older man. Maybe the worst haircut I have ever gotten. The fade is so bad and so many people have laughed at how bad it came out. Let the guy know it wasn't faded and he assured me it was. Didn't even take the time to dry my hair. Paid 35 dollars plus tip and was in the chair for at most 10 minutes. Customer service is alr , the small chit chat is cool I went with an idea of what I want done , even asked if it suits me... explained and got an understanding, but ended up the person cutting way too much. I LOOK LIKE A CHICKHEN HEAD NOW AFTER GOING IN TO SHORTEN MY WAVY HAIR AND GET FADES ON THE SIDE If you have a hairstyle in mind and show them a picture, this way they know exactly what you want, and the person who will cut your hair will cut it the way HE THINKS you want it, cause he claims he knows your hair better than me , apparently not. Definitely not coming back. I had my regular guy cut it but he was with someone else... He himself to hide his mistakes , would make me feel bad cuz he kept commenting he pity all the other barbers I went to cuz I check the mirror too much when they cut MY HAIR... And the wait , seriously you are on the chair and the guy goes out to Smoke and comes back after 15 min with smelling fingers/breath ... what's the nerve behind... cutting hair of others ain't make you the boss and to boss around like you feel!!!! $45 for a haircut and I bought a styling product and it fucking does nothing rather than make your hair rough!!!! I used to love this place and NOT ANYMORE AM I GOING HERE... Recommending to go to barbershops in Brentwood, cheaper and more skilled people .... I spent $75 for a dissatisfaction, even though I told him I had an award ceremony and don't make a mess on my hair ... and he trimmed and snapped my eyebrows without even consenting, cmon I went for haircut and he shortened my eyebrows too.... After getting my sons first few haircuts in Plainview, my husband and I decided to give Commitment Barbers a try since they are new and close to home. My husband also got a cut there the week before so even more of a reason to try. So far, my son (2.5) has been great at getting haircuts but this time we wanted something different so as opposed to using just the scissors, we needed the buzzer. Well. You can imagine how that went. My poor baby simply screamed from when we sat him down. The first gentleman tried to start but no good. Then, a second barber. We really thought we should just go since my son was giving them such a hard time and he was making himself so upset. The third barber gave it a go and he was brilliant! Patient and calm, he was able to give our son exactly what we wanted while my husband and I wrangled him to stay as still as possible. Fantastic barbershop. I have been coming here a little over 2.5 years and as such, have had approximately 40-50 haircuts from numerous barbers including David, Mike and Artie. All of them are super talented, pleasant, and very personable. They take their time and always make sure my fade is tight and that I am satisfied with my cut. Brand new place hidden in the shopping center behind the McDonald's on the corner in the sameish parking lot of La Scala and North Shore Farms. Very clean, very inviting place. The owner is super chill, very friendly, and does a really great cut. The place itself is not overly busy like some other shops where you have to wait behind 4-5 people. Price is very fair, and they offer plenty of options like face masks and stuff that you see on Instagram. Haven't done one yet but I'll get around to trying it once lol.
