Things seemed to go well for first few years, but lately a trainwreck. Last year our taxes were done wrong (error on interest calc's) since new employees had been hired and no discussion (according to owner) had taken place between new hires and the Hultquist firm on which charts and how individual firms calculate interest penalty? Sounded weak to me especially taking no ownership of the problem...too bad so sad..so we gave them another year to see if one year glitch due to new staff. Well, once all numbers compiled/correct data/income info supplied to firm, they keyed the information wrong into computer (1040's) reviewed at least twice internal in firm and incorrectly stated how much we had paid earlier in year (April) and misrepresented to the IRS what we had paid. Once the mistake was discovered by IRS, we demanded to know how the error happened. Alot of mea cupa's and sorry processing error, we will talk to IRS and straighten it out. That got nowhere, and of the $1060 we owed IRS they offered to cover the $60.00. We had made partial payment for Tax Prep services and I immediately demanded a refund and told them no further payments would be made for substandard service. Truly, this is what I was told, but we did file the taxes. So here's the bottom line...if you want your taxes filed use this firm, but if we want them done correctly, you might want to look elsewhere.
