After waiting for a while, another gentleman walked in after me, and a barber immediately started cutting his hair. At that moment, I felt uncomfortable and disappointed. As someone from another country, it made me wonder if I was being treated differently based on my background. I got frustrated and decided to leave. As I was heading out, one of the barbers stopped me and asked why I was leaving. I explained the situation. He asked if I had an appointment, and I said no. He then told me I was actually next, which convinced me to come back in. While I was returning, I overheard the barber who had taken the other customer mention he had another appointment coming up. That made me feel like he was intentionally avoiding taking me as a customer. Thankfully, another barber stepped in and offered to take care of me. Derriance Hughes ended up doing my haircut and beard trim, and I have to say--he did an excellent job. I was very satisfied with the result. He was professional, attentive, and delivered exactly what I wanted. Going forward, I will return to this shop only if Derriance is available. I've taken his contact and will book appointments directly with him to avoid confusion. Overall Rating: (4/5) Great service from Derriance, but the initial experience could have been handled much better. If I experience anything like this again, I will reconsider my rating.
