Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Had a loan with them and transferred bank accounts…read morebut they kept trying to withdraw from my old bank after I set up auto payment for my new bank. They did this every month and I had to keep calling to get it corrected. Instead of helping me they put a restriction on my account to only debit card accepted and wants to charge me an extra $2 convenience fee. How convenient for them... There agents are rude and constantly interrupts you and try to talk over you. Their apr is high, and if you think you can get a loan with them and pay it off early to avoid interest think again. They have a built in clause to pay interest if you pay it off early. I was between jobs at the time and needed the loan. Really regretting it big time. Hope no one else get put in the same situation and have to deal with these people.

She owned her home which had a reverse mortgage that was at the time the value of the home. My disabled brother lives in the home. Since our family was unable to find a place for my brother and rather than uproot him from his home, I opted to take all the money from my pension account ( I am 70 years old) to keep him in the home. I am now trying to obtain an equity line to replace my pension funds. Mariner Finance refused to negotiate the interest due on the loan and have put a lein on the home. I asked them to reduce some of the interest to help me out. There answer was NO. I hope they never have any hardship in their lifetime. Eventually their bad business will come back to them. Do not use this company! There are many good companies who work with you during hard times. If I was able to sell the house for profit I would have had no problem paying the full debt, but that was not the case.
