Worst credit union ever!!! I've had financial difficulties the past few months due to Covid and was 4 days late paying my loan payment. They froze my account (without notice) and left me stranded on the side of the road unable to pay a tow truck because I owed $42 yep $42 the lady said when I called. And no way of turning it on even if I paid over the phone. This happened twice and I won't be doing a third time. I've been a gold star member for 8 years. They don't care if they lose a customer. I will be changing banks!! When you call all you here is "I understand " or "I'm sorry to hear that" , frankly dont insult my intelligence. I'd advise a better bank to anyone looking o bank here. read more

Emptied my entire checking account of $500.00 without my authorization and without notifying me in order to force a Community Choice Platinum VISA credit card payment as I was late on the payment for the first time in 20 years. Normal monthly payment was $200.00 and they took every penny out of my checking instead - and again without auto-pay activated and without my consent or knowledge. I said this violates the fair credit reporting act for unauthorized withdrawals from checking to apply towards a credit card debt. Their response was we have the right to take any money out of your accounts to force payments for any money owed to the credit union at any time. So I guess never be late on a payment to this place even after 40+ years of business with them. I closed my 4 accounts with them today. read more

I've closed on two auto loans over the last three years with the Milford branch and I've had nothing but a great experience. Super friendly and helpful staff. Very fast loan approval process and they've had the best interest rates of any local credit union I could find. Nice choice of services besides loans and they offer an interest rebate if you operate at their 'emerald' level. I don't think the negative review of this branch is very creditable, it's a great place to bank. read more

Fast, courteous service and with a smile :) I like that my debit card finally works at the ATM, and that they only have one of them now.

I highly recommend you keep your money fair from these people. They will create fees from thin air to tax your money. You have to keep a daily eye on your accounts to be sure community rules and fees haven't changed and new types of charges pop up. The worse banking by experience I've ever had read more

Community Choice Credit Union is top notch!!! I love that they do everything a "big bank" does, only better!! I've been doing business for nearly 7 years now.They offer rewards for basic services I would do anyways, and they pay me for it! On Top of that I can earn up to 10% interest rebate back on loans. That's awesome! The open member concept is pretty cool,I feel like I have my own space, and I'm not bumping shoulders on the standard teller line. This branch needed a major remodel and its beautiful now.I feel like I can conduct business with privacy and if I need to, they have private suites. Great staff! read more

When I come into the member center the staff is very welcoming and friendly. My husband and I need an auto loan, Shelley assisted us and made the process easy. A week later she sent us a Thank you card thanking us for our business and included her business card incase we needed anything else in the future. New employees every month, and improperly trained. If you need anything but simple tasks forget about it. Even simple tasks are hard. Called the 877 and the number to the branch that you get online, all end up at the same place. They refuse to give you the branch direct phone number. You have to go up there in order to speak to anyone. Assistant manager is rude and yelled have a nice day, 3 feet from me. No drive thru teller only arms outside (2). One is usually down for maintenance. I highly recommend banking elsewhere. read more

My husband and I have been members for almost 5 years. We each have a personal account and each of our minor daughters have accounts as well. We also have a small business account with them. We've been happy with the banking services up until a few weeks ago when we decided to apply for a home equity loan. We were happy initially with the process and based on excellent credit were pre-approved for 90% of the equity already in our home we've owned for 5 years. The lending agent over the phone ran a quick home value estimate (HVE) and based on that, and stated our home had appreciated a little over 40k more than the appraisal when we bought our house. She left us with the impression that the appraisal required for the equity loan would be more of a formality and an appraisal was scheduled for a few days later. We paid the $450 fee for the appraisal they required through their appraisal company (Dart appraisals). The appraisal came in $70k less than our previous appraisal 5 years ago--yes, that means a little over $110k less than the HVE the lending agent had quoted us over the phone when we had spoken to her....we have done a few updates to our house but it's largely unchanged from 5 years ago, and property values in our neighborhood have actually increased. It's well kept and cared for, certainly not neglected or run-down. We filled out the form the lending agent gave us to dispute the appraisal and gathered a fair market value assessment from a local realtor and spoke w/ a few other appraisal companies in the area. The fair market assessment and other appraisers all came in around the same value as HVE the bank originally gave us. Our dispute claim was denied. We offered to pay for 2-3 additional appraisals at our own cost, from different appraisal companies and were told they only use estimates from Dart. We requested our $450 be refunded as we felt we had been swindled out of it, and led falsely to believe by the loan officer that there was little to no risk in the appraisal coming up that significantly short. We were not issued a refund as 'services had been rendered'. After the dispute was denied the loan officer contacted us again and stated she spoke with the Vice President of loans and wanted to offer us a chance for an additional appraisal but it had to be through Dart again and 'the bank would split the cost of the additional appraisal' with us and this time they'd be sure they sent an appraiser who was 'more familiar with the Milford area' than the original one....so they wanted us to give them another $225, so they could send someone 'more familiar' but still couldn't promise their appraisal company would change their original appraisal value....thanks, but no thanks...sure seems like a SCAM...Our entire household, including the business will be closing their accounts at Community Choice in the next few weeks. Would never want to be associated with anyone who runs business like this and don't want to know how they'll try and scam us out of more in the future. read more
