So I moved to new Hudson a little over a year ago and opened an account because it was close to home and it being a credit union I figured it would be a good decision...let me tell you it was the worst decision I've made. The first 6 months I would go to use my card at a store and it would get declined with plenty of money in the account which is so embarrassing when you have a cart full of food and a line behind you. They don't have anyone to talk to in the late afternoon so you're screwed if you get locked out of your account after hours...better hope you keep cash on you because you will not be able to talk to anyone about your money until 8am the next morning!! I was getting locked out of my account like twice per week and then I would have to go inside the bank where they would call and get my hold lifted and promise me it wouldn't happen again...first off that was a lie and to find out it was being locked for making to many deposits???? Small ones at that. I clean houses and I'm a waitress....so if you make cash daily DO NOT use this credit union. So tonight I got off work stopped at the ATM and did a cash deposit of 150 dollars, only to be told that my money has been "detained" and to call my bank tomorrow. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me! Mind you if I didn't have money in my pay pal or cashapp and I was out of gas then I would be sleeping at the gas station until the customer service department opened and was able to lift the hold on my account or to fix their mistake yet again!! By far the worst credit union in history. Not to mention their ATM's are broke 50% of the time. I've driven to the ATM to deposit money multiple times only to find a note on the screen saying the atm was down and to try back later. On a scale of 1 to 5 it would be in the negative for sure. Nothing about banking here has been convenient or helpful or even worth all the extra BS!! I have not one good thing to say about them. If anything it's stressful and inconvenient!! I swear Everytime a checkout at a store or pull up to an atm I'm so stressed out that it's not going to work and that I'm going to look like a pos in line with no money in their account. They got one star only because I can't give negative stars. I purchased a vehicle that had a down through their institution. I was told they do not have a physical title and it's all electronic. I came to SOS to register and was told it was never released. I called CC and was told it takes 10 days, although they verified my funds on the spot. After a spirited conversation they admitted their fault and "released" the title and told me to make my appointment for today. I get to SOS and I'm told CC has to mail the physical title, which I was told there wasn't one, to the previous owner for transfer. So at this point I've paid $$$ for a truck not only that I cannot drive, but that they sent the title to. Whats his motivation to do this? He now has the clear title for a truck in my driveway that is paid off. CC just threw up their hands when I asked these questions. All three of the people I spoke with were absolutely clueless. read more

It's nice belonging to a credit union instead of a large bank. But there should be some advantages to it, too, right? Better customer service, shorter waits, etc. Right? Nope, not here. I type this review on my phone, waiting in line, after waiting 10 minutes already. And there are only two people in front of me. 5 workers (including one for the drive through, even there has been no one in the drive through since I've been here.) Poorly managed? I don't know what the deal is, but I've been less and less happy with this credit union, and am about ready to switch if the experience continues being this bad. read more

I contacted Community Choice via their website about a mortgage refinance. After the initial email asking for my phone number so we could talk I never received another correspondence. I emailed Greg back multiple times and never heard from him again. It's been 3 weeks and I'm taking my business some place else! read more

I joined Community Choice Credit Union 4 years ago but did not realize some of the predatory practices they engage in until this weekend. My pension check arrived on the first of June, a Saturday. Buried in the multipage membership document is a one line notice that ACH deposit made after business hours on a business day will not be credited until the following business day, in this case Monday the 3rd. Interestingly making deposits at an ATM they will credit up to $400 immediately. Thinking my pension was duly deposited I made 5 purchases that Saturday. The last purchase pushed me over my available balance because of the delay in crediting the direct deposit. NOW for the WORST Part. CCCU held my 5 purchases and 1 on Friday until Sunday the 2nd, then cleared the largest purchase first. The last purchase was the one that had pushed me over the available balance yet by clearing that first they CHANGED A $30 FEE INTO A $180 fee. My Branch manager recognized that THE POSTING SEQUENCE HAD CHANGED but would only refund $90 of the fees leaving me to pay the other $90. This process had been used by unethical banks in the past. I am sorry to see what should be a great Credit Union sink to such levels. The delay of posting the deposit should have been better posted. read more

This is the worst bank I have ever had the displeasure of working with in my 42 years. I used them for a recent car loan. To begin with - their refurbished website seriously looks and acts like something from 1995. It is horrendous. When I tried to make my first payment - I had to sign in three different times - to three different websites. Just to make a payment. Then the auto-pay didn't work so I had to call for help. Sadly - during normal business hours, some guy answers who is clueless. He had never even seen the website. After more questions - he finally admits he's an answering service who knows nothing about the bank! Thanks for wasting 30 mins of my time. Then today - I get a letter that says, "we've tried to reach you many times" to provide my proof of insurance. Guess what? I never received a single letter, email or phone call about this until now. I love everything about this credit union. The staff, online services, and convince of their products and services is wonderful. They call you by name and genuinely care about you. It's awesome! I Wouldn't even give this bank a star if I could. Horrible costumer service and they always give me the wrong information . The one bank teller put my deposit into some one else's account and when I went back there to get it fixed she said I had to wait to get it fixed because she was busy . How rude and didn't even apologize or anything . It's the closest to my apartment so that's why I go there but considering not to After this. Please don't bank at this bank . read more

These guys honestly suck. There's no nice or professional way to put it. Absolutely f'ing horrible. I think I've paid more in O/D and bill pay fees than I have actually put into this bank. Keep in mind it's not always irresponsibility, their stupid inactive bill pay fees hit at seemingly random times, when you've got just enough room to write a check or make a payment to someone. i would never recommend this community choice to anyone they will take your money on charging overdrafts when money is available in your account they are crooks for along time I was thinking it was my mistake didnt think banks could make a mistake boy was i wrong you have to go through hell trying to get them to credit you they made a lot of money off me PS I closed my account they ripped me off for the last time and they are very rude love my new bank nothing like them read more
