After she finished the Math courses and prior to COVID starting, I purchased a reading class. Although the Sylvan centers in this area were still offering masked classes, I did not feel comfortable with my granddaughter attending - so I deferred sending her even though I'd already paid the money. Over a year later, after vaccines started and COVID was better, I contacted Sylvan to have my granddaughter start her class. This session was as different as day and night from the previous Math sessions. Whereas the staff had been very open and engaging, I found that I had to call or email several times to even get answers to any questions I had. The day prior to my granddaughter's last class, I realized that she'd had no reviews. I emailed Sylvan and asked if they still provided those. They said yes and for me to make an appointment. Well that was totally useless as she only had one more day of instruction left. I hate to say it, but I think since the money I'd paid them had already been spent over a year ago, they somehow didn't feel that they needed to be as engaged as before. Needless to say, I probably wouldn't use Sylvan again.

Didn't get anything in the mail. Tonight my husband called the center director and she said she had nothing to do with the refund a d gave him a 800 number to call to check on the status. He repeated it back to her and she confirmed. When he called the number, it was an adult hotline. Not a place you want to deal with. Sorry we ever stepped foot in the place.

When I chose to confront them about their callousness and request a copy of my grandson's file, what did I get? Disrespected and dismissed, with Sherrie having the gall to slam the phone down on me! Let me make it abundantly clear: my grandson has been a part of the Goddard family since he was barely old enough to walk. And yet, after just a solitary month of behavioral struggles, they cast him aside like he means nothing! The audacity of their actions is beyond belief! I'll be honest, as the only African-American male in his class, when I suggested the importance of building his confidence and strengths to prevent him from feeling isolated, I was unfairly labeled as a racist. Despite our request for him to be moved to a more challenging environment being denied, we persisted, determined not to see him left behind. Initially, we thought the Goddard program, being a 5-star school, would be an excellent fit. But in Waxhaw, it's clear it's not suitable for everyone. The resistance we faced in advocating for our child's needs highlighted a troubling lack of inclusivity and understanding. I would not recommend this school at all it you don't want to play the popularity game and buy into these dynamics in order for you child to have equal access to opportunities for advancement DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD at this school.

When I called in to tell them they could removed that quote and cancel auto, but my current HOI needed to remain, they cancelled everything. I have been calling for 2 weeks to have my policy reactivated as they were never approved to cancel it. They have zero sense of urgency and give me attitude every time I call. When I ask for escalation, I get zero follow up calls. The hoops I am having to jump through to fix their mistake is ridiculous. Calling the main customer service and escalation line does nothing and they keep trying to route me back to the branch. Unacceptable.
