I usually don't like to give one star to my reviews. But I wish I could give this place a 0 stars. I should have paid more attention to all negative reviews and not waste my time going there. First thing first, when I first made the appointment I was expecting a text or some sort of reminder from them about my appointment time and everything. well, that was not the case I lost the appointment and have to wait 7 months for the next one. Ok not big deal thank goodness my oral health is pretty good. The day of my appointment comes and I arrived there an hour before my time cause I didn't know if they go my exact appointment time or not, I waited 1:45 minutes to get inside the room and the person told me to have a seat and that she was coming right back, minutes comes and goes she finally showed up 20 minutes after. let me tell you this place is madness, it was raining that day and there were buckets everywhere cause is raining inside waiting room. The floor could have seen better days it was super dirty and filthy there. Bottom line I left without being able to see the dentist, they lie to you about how things work, they never told me I was NOT going to get my teeth cleaned the day of. Also they overlooked everyone and is only one dentist and he is NOT even the one who will work with you. I am beyond upset with this center. Please I am begging you read the reviews carefully before coming here so you are not disappointed as I am. read more

I have had an appointment scheduled for months in advanced and when I called to clarify what day my appointment is I was told that it was canceled. This is because the doctor/provider called out that day but I was never informed about it. I scheduled my appointment in December for May 16th, I called today the 13th thinking my appointment is this Friday or the next. I was never informed that my appointment was canceled and now the only availability is in November??? So it's okay for me to wait a year to receive care?? This is completely unfair, I shouldn't have to suffer because of a staff issue. The person on the phone said there's nothing that could be done, I don't think this is the way an establishment should be run appropriately! read more

What is up, Melvin J cox here. I just got to say I love cabs. Yeah the phones could be answered faster and yeah sometimes the wait is long but you just have to stay on them because they are busy. One thing I love is the experience I get when I visit. I know they are going to get me sorted and on my way. I love the intimate setting and they do care. The doctor are very attentive and helpful. I've never had a bad experience with any staff there. Minute things like phone calls and wait times can get better but always there should be good service and it is the best. This is a constructive criticism to the Therapist, in which I do not want to mention name. Not Psychiatrist, she was great! If you are a Therapist please make sure your patient is comfortable sharing information with you. Please do not frown, or look confused. Please STOP typing while I'm TALKING, if I'm sharing something that I want out, go with the flow. And if you see this...learn from it. Get off the pedistle. You live in a box. Fun fact: She asked me if I do drugs, after all the judgemental deamenor (it was in the face), ANYWAY, I told her I've done Acid in which I've never done, just to mess with her. I have been waiting three days for someone to connect with me about my CT results, which show a possible kidney infection! I emailed Tuesday, followed up on Wednesday and only after I asked many questions was told the provider was out this week (after being told she would get back to me). I sent another message and called again today. If the provider is out, shouldn't there be a back up Dr. to review results? I want to take care of my health asap! The rude receptionist finally connected me to the head nurse, who assured me that my kidney test was fine. Except - they had not read the whole results - I literally had to read the report to him. Once he saw what I was concerned about, he said he would have a Dr review and get back to me. STILL....I WAIT. Doctors have a legal and ethical obligation to be timely with your results. I have now come to realize, the poor handling of test results, coverage for drs patients while out of the office - is extremely dangerous. read more

Please be aware that this is a sliding scale clinic. If you would like a premium luxury service then you need to pay a premium luxury price. I've been coming here on and off for many years and have never had an issue. This place exists to help those who cannot afford very much and it's sad to me to see so many people be so insanely critical. The incompetence of this office is off the charts. Beth Zucker, the doctor there, referred me for a MRI. After she did so, she continuously failed to give the requested information to the radiologist, who had to cancel my appointment twice. It took radiology to go on a three way call, talking to 4 different ppl at CHN at 4:30 to figure this all out. Absolute nightmare. Do not go here if you value your health, because the people who work at CHN, don't. read more

The people here are always super nice, but the wait times are unbelievable! I ALWAYS spend atleast an hour waiting to see a nurse and then another 20 minutes back in the waiting room for the doctor. I'm a freelancer and I have to take time off to come here so it's money lost on top of my $500+ monthly healthcare payments. Terrible and unprofessional. I've had two appointments rescheduled at the absolute last second in the past three weeks with no updates. Both appointments, one with a PCP and another with a psychiatrist, I've waited over a month because availability has been scarce. I've rescheduled work for these phone appointments and on the day of, I get no call. I find out they are rescheduled only when I call the front desk. No texts, no voicemails, no calls in advance to notify any changes. There is a complete lack of organization here. One month after my appointments were rescheduled, there's yet another canceled appointment. This place is ridiculous. I originally gave this place two stars. I would give it zero if I could. I usually am a little disgruntled while coming here because of the excessive wait times but that usually goes away because the great experience I have with the staff. As far as MY experience they are professional and friendly. However, my most recent visit I arrived at 8:55 for my 9:10 appt. I was met with an extremely rude what I believe to be custodian or maintenance man, tall and in a navy baseball cap. Once a rung the doorbell, he shoood me from behind the glass repeating "not yet yo not yet yo". I know that these are troubling times but come on, you guys didn't even open the doors yet. This clinic is great. It's not fancy and definitely is for low income folks but it serves its purpose. I've been here for years for my annual OBGYN and they always charge a VERY affordable rate since I don't have health insurance, I've paid $0 to $80 for visits. This recent visit I was offered to speak to their insurance specialist who helped me get affordable insurance same day! Couldn't be happier. Love this clinic, super affordable and clean. read more

The hours also make it impossible to not miss any work for appointments. Do not come here. Find a place that will actually take care of you.This place is an absolute joke- do not waste your time 2-3 hour wait for a 20 min dental procedure that changed my life forever. Let me start off by saying that my issue is with this Location,Dental Dept Williamsburg. I have had decent experiences with other locations. For some Odd reason I decided to come to this location. WORST MISTAKE EVER. I walked in at 11am I then asked to speak to a manager, they assured me that Jaslynne Medina would help me who is a "Practice manager" I explained to her my situation that on June/July 2018 the "Dentist" had performed an unnecessary procedure on me and that I am suffering and in pain and she basically made it seem like it was my fault and that the dentist had informed me before the procedure was done which is a complete lie I found out AFTER. I never asked for this procedure it was pushed on me pressure and fear tactics used saying my tooth will be infected and may need a ROOT CANAL,another lie,he was more concerned with getting me out the office to get the next patient in then explain to me exactly what he was going to do and the materials he was going to use,I think he knew why because I would have politely said no thank you and walked away, my tooth would be saved and normal.Worst dentist team ever,each time they told me different stories thinking i was stupid.It was my first time ever there for a dentist appt,I also went into that clinic in no PAIN/Having no tooth problems whatsoever just supposed to be a routine checkup the Dentist Dr Taddeo DESTROYED my tooth and he put "MERCURY" into my body without my permission.l am now suffering from constant tooth/sensitivity pain from the exact tooth and numerous side affects from the neurotoxin Mercury,it's gonna cost $$$ to fix the damage to my Tooth and HEALTH that should have never happened,stay away from the DENTAL DEPARTMENT far away if you care about your health/loved ones and if you do, get 2nd opinion and always record your conversations with that Damm dentist they also do MERCURY FILLINGS you don't want that it's a poison it will destroy your health what clinic does Mercury fillings in this day in age with all this information about the dangers of Mercury doesn't look like they care about the patients health only money. I'm very disappointed to read some of the negative reviews here for petty petty reasons. You are the people that need to grow up and be appreciative of what CABS is offering you. If you don't like it then I challenge you to find any other place that will offer as much help as they do for what they might charge. You do realize that you're not going to a 5-star hotel, nor are you related to Queen Elizabeth or Queen Lathifa for that matter. There are other people there that are sick there and everyone's time is important. This is a place that prides themselves on helping those that can't afford medical help or any other kind of help needed. They run the clinic on fundraising and budgets to maximise their manpower in order to reach the neediest and the sickest, and their doors are always open to EVERYONE! I was introduced to this clinic when I was still living in NJ. I didn't have health insurance and I was suffering from something that no one could diagnose. Day to day living was a struggle. I called many hospitals and Pvt doctors in NJ/NYC to help me or to charge me something that I can afford and no one really wanted to help. It was either having health insurance or paying full price. There was no empathy or sympathy. A friend of mine suggested this clinic in Brooklyn and at first, I was hesitant. It was far and I didn't know that part of Brooklyn, but let's be serious!. When you are sick and can't afford much you'll go anywhere for the chance to get better. I do agree that when you first enter the establishment you can get a little overwhelmed. Especially if it's a busy day. The waiting room is a little tight but they utilize most of their square footage for examination rooms and labs. I'd rather have less space for waiting and more rooms for examinations so that patiences are seen faster and in and out. As far as waiting, yes, some days you have to wait a little longer. You don't know what problem or issue the patient before you might have. Maybe they need extra attention or help, and just like you they deserve full and proper assessment, which will lead to your waiting time to be longer. I'm sure for those complainers on here, if you were taken in and not seen properly you'll be the first to bitch and complain. It seems like it's so easy for people to see the small petty things wrong with CABS but not the majority of good they have and are still doing for hundreds of people in this community.Be grateful and thankful you have a place like CABS to go to. Have some respect and patience for those sick and being seen before you. It's called being CIVIL, POLITE, COURTEOUS and UNDERSTANDING! just to mention a few. I can promise you they aren't having a picnic or a gala in the back with champagne and caviar. You MUST have patience if you go to CABS, that's true, and know that when your times comes to be seen they will do a proper and complete checkup with their full attention on you. They are usually always willing to work with you if you're unable to afford something, but you do have to prove you can't afford it. They can't have all of NYC who can afford it just say "HEY I WANT THIS FOR FREE". It takes away limited money and funding they have for the truly sick and needy people that need help, but for those that are a little tight on cash they have many plans to help. Now for the review I read about the rude front desk. I don't know what went down or how but usually its a two-way street. If you're giving them attitude maybe you deserve a little reality check back, but I agree the staff needs to be professional and polite no matter what. I have personally in 4-5 years never had one staff member be rude to me, and the doctors are so dedicated on running all test and labs to find the correct solution. You as an adult, if you're unhappy with something at CABS should ask for the supervisor and tell them about it. Bad talking and making people think this place can't help others is WRONG.This place could be a lifesaver for the next possible patient and you're taking that away from them. Be an educated and smart citizen and inform the head staff of what might need to be changed or what your negative experience is and give them an opportunity to fix it and learn about it. Everything is a process of learning and fixing whether is our own lives or a business. We can't fix that which we are not aware of, no one can. I highly recommend this place to people that need any kind of help. They have knowledge that can help you be guided in the right direction. It is a community clinic so be prepared to wait a little longer than expected and be courteous to others there. Smiling and spreading a little smile while you're at CABS won't hurt either. It takes one smile to be contagious and the chain reaction continues forward brings a smile to others who are sick. Truly horrible excuse for a doctor's office. The staff that checks you in are inept, surly, won't make eye contact with you, and made me feel incredible unwelcome. I've called numerous times to follow up on test results that were supposed to be 24 hours and ended up taking weeks, refilling a prescription that's supposed to be auto-refilled, and asking my doctor questions and have been misled with incorrect answers on all of the above. Not to mention their phone hangs up on callers after waiting on hold for 10 minutes, to which I got the response "yeah that just happens sorry." You have to wait behind the tape to speak to any of these individuals, of which there are probably 2 which contributes to the long lines and wait time. The waiting room is a variable hell: people are screaming and crying, getting into arguments, eating take out food and blasting music on their cell phones. You'll end up waiting here a good 30 min to an hour past your appointment time. Wouldn't recommend, make the trek to manhattan it's worth it to feel respected and safe. read more

A month and a half ago I got approved for health insurance over the phone. They said I'd receive an invoice in the mail to activate my account and pay a fee. The fee was due within 1-10 days of approval, but I never received the letter in the mail, so they cancelled my insurance. I lost my therapist, my psychiatrist, access to all medication, and even birth control. The healthcare system makes it nearly impossible to receive help, let alone have access to staple medications for my asthma, or something as necessary as birth control, which is otherwise $150 out of pocket at CVS. After the exhausting runaround Healthfirst and the NY State of Health put me through, and the meltdown I had after realizing my healthcare had been stripped from me, I went to the Community Healthcare Network for help. They were so kind, saw me within 20 minutes, scheduled an appointment for tomorrow, scanned a paystub for their sliding scale fees, and checked to see if they had Nuvaring in stock. I felt so genuinely taken care of. I can't thank you guys enough. read more

I loved coming here. Very nice staff for the most part. However, when I came, I presented with a very time sensitive issue. I noticed they closed at 8, so I called at 6:30 to see if I could still come. The receptionist told me to come in as long as I could get there before 8. Once I got there, another receptionist suggested I come back in the morning because the doctor had already taken her last patient. Mind you, this was a time sensitive issue. After awkwardly staring at the receptionist for a solid 15 seconds, she calls the doctor or assistant to see if she'd be willing to see me. Thankfully she said yes. From then on, the staff was lovely. Dr. Adachi was an angel and Hazel was warm and comforting. read more

I had my annual physical there for the second time and told them that my insurance plan doesn't participate with Bio Reference they say okay and still send there,so here I got stuck with a bill. They're so incompetent and they continue with there lies.They tell you that you have a 15 minute grace time after your scheduled time if jot it will get cancelled,meanwhile your wait is already about 30 to 45 minute wait and then the doctors rush you out...horrible service. read more

I love this place. I've been going here for my prenatal checkups and I've had such a great experience with their nurses, OBGYN, Social Worker and nutritionist. Their receptionists could be nicer and that's my only complain. The rest of the staff (who you regularly interact with) are absolute Angels. read more

I SHOULD"VE GONE W/MY GUT!!!!!!! 1st of all I parked 2 blocks away and almost got mugged before I even step foot in the place. When I did I saw maybe 4 addicts nodding off, dirty floors, and tons of people. Against my better judgement I stayed and registered. Two hours later I was taken to a office where I sat for another 32 minutes waiting for a Dr to arrive. All the while listening to people argue and yell about why they hadnt been called. When the Dr finally arrived he told me that everything that I was told on the phone was not true! they ARE NOT affiliated w/Beth Isreal, and they DO NOT have late evening gyn/prenatal appointments. When I called my insurance I was given this # as a clinic within my zipcode. The rep I spoke to over the phone told me they had evening appointments and were affiliated w/Beth Isreal. Moral of the story I wasted two an a half hours of my life to be told the opposite of what brought me there in the 1st place. And oh yeah, I almost got mugged on the way back to my car too! I had to literally RUN back to the clinic. Thankfully a male staff member was nice enough to escort me to my car. read more
