I saw Martha (who btw is the FOUNDER and CEO). Upon further research she is only a Physician Assistant-Certified. She has NO business seeing patients solo for anything beyond a common cold. A PA-C should be operating in tandem with an actual physician. Per NYS law "New York State, it is illegal for a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to practice medicine independently, meaning they must always be under the supervision of a physician." The visit was very quick, I thought she was a Dr but apparently there was no doctor present for my visit- she took about a minute to examine the area of my concern. She advised that it was a skin tag and I should just go on to amazon and buy a product that would help me "steam it off." I left happy knowing it was nothing serious. Later in the day upon more reflection and internet research I realized something didn't add up. You can't steam off a skin tag anywhere on your body. Steam would only help with a pimple or ingrown hair. I gave this issue more time to see if it resolved itself. It did not. I went to get a second opinion. Long story short the actual Dr I went to (not NP, not medical assistant, etc) quickly said it absolutely does not look like a skin tag. She was quick to say I should come back immediately as it needs to be biopsied. This is something that could be cancerous, this is something that could be transmittable, etc. At no point did Martha even suggest to do a culture or swab. In the one minute she looked at it she quickly dismissed it. I am waiting my results from the second opinion doctor. That said if I had not used common sense and sought out a proper doctor who cared I could have really potentially been risking my health and even life if it is something more serious. Lastly, I was not going to leave a negative review for this clinic. On 3/14 I called the office and explained the situation to the receptionist. She said she'd "pass along the message" but she didn't seem to understand the serious nature of tis so I requested Martha call me. Martha did call me back and THAT is why I am leaving this review. If she simply voiced any care regarding this matter or even a slight apology it would have been a non issue. She was so indignant, nasty and careless it was unbelievable. Her attitude and clearly care she provides is reckless. Her response to me was "that is too bad." A place like this that is going to provide medical services for serious needs to be educated on the topic and have the proper certification. On their website and even here on yelp it says "gynecologist and obstetrics" however when you look at their IG page or even look at "Marthalewissandari" IG it's all ads for med spa services. They should not be providing gyno services, this is completely misleading. If they keep up such poor business practices they'll end up really hurting someone and getting sued.

So I'll rate both and just average the two ratings. Both Vanna Morero and Dali Mardach work from this office in Bushwick. Both doctors also split up their week between this office and another office in Maspeth (Queens). If you're looking for one particular doctor make sure to let the receptionist know when you're making the appointment (if you don't already know which days each doctor is there) because in my case the receptionist didn't ask me which doctor I wanted nor did she say which doctor she made my appointment with. I didn't know Vanna shared the space, so when I got there and only Dali was there that day I was pretty disappointed. I was only disappointed however until I actually met Dali and found her to be nearly identical in her friendly disposition. In terms of Vanna Morero and Dali Mardach they are the sweetest doctors I have ever met (and are both easy on the eyes as well). I've never had anything complicated to have them deal with so I don't know if they're as smart as they are pleasant but as far as I could tell they are the perfect doctors. They ask how your life is going, never rush you, and seem to help you on anything you have going on. I wouldn't be surprised if you told me both doctors moonlighted as therapists. Now for the downside. The office (in Bushwick at least) is the biggest medical shit hole I have ever been to. If it wasn't for their tiny television in the corner being in English and the fact that I didn't see any bugs I would have completely felt as though I was in some third world South American doctor's office. The office is converted from a residential apartment. The top two floors are still residential apartments. Once you get buzzed into the building you go into the waiting room, which was obviously previously a living room. The waiting room has mix matched chairs (and a large leather couch), a tiny tv on a stand in the corner picking up network signals from a set of rabbit ears, metal bars on the windows, and an air conditioner secured to the window with a healthy dose of duct tape. You make your way through this room to what undoubtedly used to be a kitchen where the receptionist and filing cabinets were. There I checked in. I got was right on time for my 11:30am appointment. Once I found out that there was only one doctor who works at the office at a time I was curious as to why there were 8 people waiting in the waiting room. I wasn't seen for my 11:30 appointment until 12:45pm (and my simple appointment was only lasted 10 minutes). The doctors office was down the hallway to the bedroom (I mean office) on the right. Because it's the most low rent facility I've ever seen the doctor didn't have the ability to take blood and send it to a lab so I was referred to a lab to get that done directly (the results would then be sent to the doctor's office). If being in this crap hole office wasn't bad enough, when you step outside the office you've got the large and clean looking Wyckoff Heights Medical Center staring you in the face as if to mock you. So as far as Vanna and Dali go I give them 5 stars but the office deserves 1 star, I'll split the difference and give it 3 stars. Sure I'd love a great doctor in a clean and modern medical facility but personally I'd rather a great doctor in a crappy office than a crappy doctor in a great office (something I've definitely experienced many times before).

They are both attending residents at Wycoff Medical Hospital emergency rooms. Both doctors were an enormous help in diagnosing my mother's cancer a few years back and even called my personal cell phone number to follow up with me after we've left the hospital. They are both amazing women and I would recommend them to everyone.

Not interested in prevention only the cure where money can be made. When I got a bill from them in December, I was wondering how the amount made sense. I called my insurance and learned they didn't even bill for the follow up yet someone had asked my credit card number for the copay. So the insurance company had to call them to get it billed on my behalf. They are now sending me a bill still that is incorrect. Thankfully I didn't pay in cash but used my card and have a documented receipt. Because they are claiming I owe them copays that I've clearly already paid.

Finding a health center that doesn't charge an obscene amount of money to be seen is always a struggle. It was the closest, same-day appointment center I found on Yelp. They take several types of insurance, including mine which only charged a $10 copay. They even have their own app where you fill out your symptoms and payment information right there. Once I arrived, all I had to worry about was not coughing on the doctor! I got a prescription filled at the in-house pharmacy and was on my merry way about 30 minutes later.
