my experience with cloquet hospital and day surgery was very good every one nurses and doctors were very kind

Update to my last review. I now have the EOB from the visits of 3 of my children for a strep test. Found out that the penicillin shot - that was recommended we take - costs over $1500 (per shot). Add to that the additional charges and for 3 strep visits I am paying over $5000.00. I fully understand that the hospital is within their right to bill me for this amount. My complaint is: 1. Not once was I told that it would cost this much. 2. I was encouraged to choose the penicillin shot by the hospital staff, and 3. Per the hospital's website the estimated price for this shot is hundreds of dollars less than they billed. I submitted a complaint per the instructions on the hospital website and no one has contacted me. This whole experience has shown a definite lack of compassion by the hospital. This experience has also cause me to lose trust in the hospital. Even an apology for what feels like deception and manipulation in an attempt to make money off a mom of 3 sick kids would be appreciated - but as of yet - silence. read more

I have been going here for just over 2 months and every time the experience is the same. absolutely dreadful! the people Manning the registration desk are slower than molasses, have absolutely no idea what there doing (literally they need to ask for help and still mess it up) and like to give you the run around and insist you don't need to see them before you see your doctor or get x rays. however you cannot do anything until you register and you get sent back to reception like a horrible modern day groundhog day movie. I cannot express my concerns when I first registered with a bone sticking out and being rushed to surgery 9.5 hours later. I received no medication the entire time as well as no explanation why it was taking so long. surgery was an entirely other debacle. the only positive I have is that I survived. heed my warning and drive to Duluth read more
