I've had two children attend this center (at different times since March 2023), and I can honestly…read moresay it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made for our family. From the very beginning, the teachers and staff have gone above and beyond--not just to "watch" the kids, but to truly teach, nurture, and connect with them. The growth I've seen in my children has been incredible. My oldest has graduated out but my youngest comes home excited, confident, and full of new things he's learned. What stands out most to me is how intentional the focus is on true development and connection. They don't teach just about letters, numbers, or milestones--they help each child grow into themselves with kindness, curiosity, and confidence. As a parent, specifically a single parent, I'm especially grateful for how seamlessly their approach aligns with the way I raise my children at home. The parallels between their teaching style and my parenting make it easy for my kids to absorb and retain what they're learning, which has made a huge difference in their growth. It's rare to find a place where you feel your children are not only safe, but also understood, supported, and genuinely loved. That's exactly what this center has given us. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Miss Kalia is experienced, professional, and most of all warm and loving to kids. Miss Kalia cared for my twins starting when they were four months old. We found her online and did not know her previously. It was really hard to leave my tiny babies to return to work and Miss Kalia was exactly who we needed to feel comfortable with the childcare transition. She really engaged with the twins and spent time reading, playing, and taking them on walks. She helped them transition to solid food and meet their developmental milestones. Having previous experience working in daycare centers and now running her own, Miss Kalia knows and complies with state regulations and safety requirements. She can easily handle multiple children. I never had any safety or hygiene concerns - my kids always were clean and well-fed, and my daughter normally had a cute hairstyle at the end of the day too! Miss Kalia was great at communicating what had happened that day. My kids loved Miss Kalia and it was wonderful to know they were cared for by someone who treated them like her own family. Ohana is an in-home family daycare so I also think it's important to know that Miss Kalia's family is just as warm and welcoming as she is. Also, Miss Kalia is extremely reliable (I can't remember her ever taking a sick day) and loves to celebrate holidays and special events by doing activities with the kids. Ohana is a great environment and our family is so thankful to Miss Kalia for everything she has done for our kids.

I told the women at the counter that right behind her there is a boy repeatedly striking my child in the face, i assumed there was another child care provider in the establishment that would intervene and help her and get away from the abuse!? Nope! the 2 ladies at counter refused to even look and see what was going on, stating that it was too busy and she needed to ring someone up at the counter first, she really could care less. Where were these other people that supposedly worked there protecting and watching children? There was no one in sight watching the children. No one to help my tiny child at all until another, older child saw my poor defenseless baby and stood up for my daughter putting herself between the aggressive boy and my baby, repeatedly blocking the aggressor for several minutes. That little girl was even so sweet as to sit with my daughter while she was scared and upset until they finally would pay attention to me and let my daughter out! Where was the adult care taker that is paid to do this same thing a little girl did!?! My little one was sad and confused as to why I could see her through the glass but could not help protect her myself. They are locked in the play area and I couldn't even help my own child when she was crying and helpless!
