Heed all review warnings... multiple bookings for the same appt times are made which leads to the average wait time of ~1.5 hrs. Office staff members are rude, unprofessional, and dishonest. The corporate culture is the same. I spent my last appt explaining to the doctor about the cruel behavior of the staff towards clients as they sit for hours in the waiting room. Clients are blatantly lied to repeatedly when asking staff if the doctor is running late, etc. It's also impossible to reach the office directly via phone. The staff here are super rude. I've been coming here for the last 6 months and everyone seems to always have some kind of chip on their shoulder and it shows. Doctors are nice, quick and efficent. I'm glad I have no problem with getting my medication, but there is a lag in communication from the billing department and appointment scheduling. I changed an appointment on time and got charged a no show fee. Run. Run away. Far far away. I was going to this practice for a number of years, it started out ok, but in the last 2 it has seriously gone down hill. Every time I'm in the waiting room someone is arguing with them about billing or fees for missed appointments (They are the only doctor I've EVER been to that does not call to confirm appointments the day prior, which is super fishy to me). Personally they have "booked" appointments for me and then charged me for not showing, when I wasn't even aware the appointment existed. They refuse to give any more than a 3 week supply of meds, which I didn't realize how odd that was until my new doctor gave me 90 days on the 2nd visit. Wait time has improved dramatically since seeing Stein instead of Sobhan. Staff is friendly and well-mannered. Overall, I feel heard and get my psychiatric needs met. I would just prefer they answered their reception phone more promptly or at least placed me on hold after greeting me. Other than that, I personally have never had any scheduling problems. Easily the worst doctor experience I've ever. I've been waiting 3 weeks on a prescription to be filled due to the need of a prior authorization, which I warned the PA about. I've been trying to get in touch with someone for over 2 weeks. I've waited 5 minutes each time for someone in their call center to pick up the phone. The first 3 times, they picked up got some of my information, "tried to get ahold of someone in the office", then hung up on me. Not exaggerating, that literally happened 3 times. The 3rd time I was hung up on was after I waited another 5 minutes (after the initial 5) to speak to a supervisor - that means hold music for 5 minutes then [click]. While I enjoyed my PA, EVERYthing else about the facility, the front desk staff, etc. is absolutely horrendous. This is the worst doctor's office I've ever experienced, and I truly hope you stay away to avoid going through even a couple of the countless frustrations I endured with Compass Health. Compass Health, if you're reading this I'd be more than happy to share with you the consistent disappointment you've given me and suggest ways for improvement. (i.e. try to fill prescriptions in less than 3 weeks, call people back when they leave a message with your call service 5 TIMES, follow up at least ONCE when you are constantly messing things up, get a new receptionist - she's unprofessional, rude, and not someone you'd want as the first person your patients see - perhaps try to hire someone that doesn't hate their job; note that she waited 15 minutes after I came in to check me in, the PA's we're just sitting there waiting for patients to come in, Brittany found it wise to wait until 15 people come in to finally start checking them in. You would be making a lot more money and losing far less patients if you did even 1 of the above suggestions. Your company is awful. Good luck. read more

They don't keep appointments, 2:00 appt? 2-3 hour window that they COULD call and the call doesn't say their name so good luck with that, especially because it won't be within the window but way later. The doctors are ABSOLUTLY horrible. I was supposed to have an appt 2 days ago and they never called or filled my meds. When I first made the appt they said, and I quote from my texts with the care coordinator, "I am not a priority to the doctors or the office." Every time I've been calling since I ran out of meds they either don't call back or just hang up. This has happened every month since I started going to this doctor 3 months ago. At my last appt the doctor tried giving me medication that interacts with my other meds and causes a heart condition that I have to get worse! I am now being forced to withdraw from life saving medication because of they're lack in communication and professionalism. I am currently on my way to the hospital to bacoract myself because of what they did to me. They have ruined my Christmas and above all, are risking my life. A disaster of a practice. The prior reviews only scratch the surface. My wife had an appointment with Dr. Sobhan who had seen her in the hospital and was to prescribe meds. When we got there we were told he was not there and no attempt was made to reach us to let us know. Two of the next 3 appointments were handled the same way, with trips made and no doctor to see and short term meds prescribed from THEIR pharmacy to by delivered by UPS the next day, just to get her to her next appointment rescheduled for 4-5 days later. On top of this the office staff always made it sound like we did something wrong. I had an first appointment with a therapist for myself. When I arrived the therapist was very nice but told me this was her last week so she would be happy to speak to me to get background for the new therapist who would actually be seeing me. They were also happy to take my $40 co-pay for this non appointment. Very unprofessional for a practice supposedly treating people with emotional or psychological issues. I had to join the others in giving a 1 star review of this office. I became a new patient during the pandemic so the appointments are remote at the moment. Although I personally prefer in- person visit, I am baffled at how the wait time for a psychiatrist to call you is literally 45 minutes to an hour. Once the psychiatrist calls you (never the same psychiatrist), you're only on the phone for maybe 5 to 10 minutes with them. The appointment feels rushed. They don't really take the time to genuinely assess your condition. You just tell them what's wrong and they'll dump more pills on you. No explanation. I've experienced a psychiatrist e-scribing the incorrect medication to my preferred pharmacy. I've also experienced that same psychiatrist not e-scribing anything at all. There have been times where I make it clear to send the prescription over to my preferred pharmacy but they send it to their MedzDirect instead. I always have to ask the nurse for help to send the scripts to my preferred pharmacy. Don't get me started on MedzDirect... these people NEVER, EVER, EVER answer their telephones. They also act like they don't know what's going on. Recently, I had an appointment with a different psychiatrist at the office about 3 weeks ago. They prescribed a medication that requires a prior authorization. I advised the nurse of that. I've called my insurance company, called the MedzDirect pharmacy, and called the office again... to NO avail. My insurance company did their due diligence and investigated the matter. I have felt so left behind, confused, frustrated, and depressed. I want to understand more about my diagnoses, not just have people push pills on me. The therapy at Compass is stellar. My therapist is seriously the best. I am only interested in staying at Compass Health for the therapy. read more

So this review is not for compass health because I would never recommend it to anyone. The only reason I continue to go there is because Leah Beck is amazing. I have had 2 negative experiences with previous therapists and was ready to give up seeing one if it didn't work out with her. Leah has helped me so much and I will forever be grateful to her. My first visit I had an encounter with the office manager that infuriated me so much that I spent most of my first visit upset about that! But Leah made it all worth it. This office has taken over a week to simply call in a refill for my friend andonce it took me calling them for 10 days. 10 days to get a refill on a prescription. I was told by the last medical professional I saw there that since I wanted to maybe try something new for my issue I should try this newer drug (so new, there is no generic yet) as the one I had requested could be intense and may not be covered by my insurance(it is a 1/2 the price of this newer drug btw and there is a generic available) What do you know, she had coupons for this new drug on her desk and then promptly hands me a flyer for their mail order drug service. This newer drug is $230 WITH my insurance. I can't afford that. I have now been calling for days to have her just write me a prescription for the medication I was on for a year prior and they literally will not get back with me. They said 24-48 hours. I waited 51 hours called back, and guess what? Not only had they not done what I asked them too, now that I explained it for a 3rd time, I get to wait for an undisclosed amount of time for them to get back with me and they may require me to have another appointment where I get to sit in their office for an hour (minimum) before seeing the doctor(even though they only give you a 15 late minute grace period or you're considered a no show with a $25 fine) just for them to talk to me for 5 minutes to write me a prescription for something I had already been taking and only am getting bc this new medication in unaffordable. This is a psychiatric office. The amount of damage that can be done to someone's life by this level of incompetence and inadequacy is wildly unacceptable. It's dangerously irresponsible for them to treat people this way when they people they are dealing with are already having a hard enough time just living their lives on a day to day basis due to mental health issues. From the moment I walked into the office I knew something was amiss. I made an appointment with Dr Stein and they called me three times to confirm it when I got there I went to sign in, they told me Dr Stein doesn't work on Fridays. They claimed his PA would be happy to see me. Very reluctantly I saw the PA. Long story short they wrote me an incorrect prescription and it took four days of phone calls to reach a live human being in their office as they only have a call-center. After four days, and diligently calling them and trying to get a hold of them, they called in a prescription and again it turned out to be the wrong one. I have been going here for 2 years. They have screwed up my appt time 3-4 times over the past 2 years. Today the woman insisted that she remembered booking my appointment 2.5 months ago at 11am but I had it written in my calendar with the amount owed for 9:30am. I never miss appointments and I never am late. The woman kept telling me it was my mistake and that she remembered booking it at 11am. She inisted that they had no early morning appointments anytime in the next month. I asked to speak to the Dr. for 5 minutes and they refused and said it was not possible. I refused to leave the counter, I'm usually compliant and let people walk all over me. They finally "found" me an early morning appt time a month from now. Then they actually booked a 9:30 appt a month from now under another person's name who happened to have the first name as me and handed me the printed out appt time/date with another patients name and information on it!!! I returned it to the woman who then explained that she had printed two different "jennifer's" appointment times though the appt time they gave me had the other "jennifer's" name on it!. Then she took another 5 minutes to book the appointment under my name. Needless to say, they continue to screw up over and over at this place and it sucks when you are a person who depends on the appt time they give you to be correct! I stood at the counter angry and crying and the woman fought me telling me how she was right and I made a mistake. I asked if I made a mistake about the amount due also? How could I write the time in my calendar and the amount due but the time was 1.5 hours off. She then said that I confirmed the 11am appointment time yesterday by phone! LOL! Very unprofessional! Til have been an RN for 37 years and I've never seen a less professional office or staff members. They have not answered their phones or called anyone back since @March when the pandemic started. If I have an appointment for telehealth I have to locate it on their website because they don't make the appointment with me, they just make it as it suits them. Sometimes the appointment doesn't happen. Yesterday I had an appointment at 3:50 but nobody called so I called the office. For some reason somebody answered. They moved my appointment until an hour later and tried to get in touch with Dr. Stein Lipschitz who isn't my doctor but was supposed to call me because the nurse practitioner that usually calls was on vacation. I called 4 times and spoke to 5 people. The last one left a message to the supervisor who she said would call me yesterday but never did. Today is Thanksgiving so I'm sure I won't reach anybody there. My medications are running out and they are doing nothing about it. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place, they are totally incompetent. Oh and the Veterans Administration is paying them for me so I will make sure to let them know never to send another patient there. read more

I hate yelping. I am not a yelper. I did however make an account SPECIFICALLY to air this grievance I have out with compass health. The most unprofessional doctors office ever. So many things went wrong today it was just insane. Like... Where do I even start? The fact that they're training nurses on ACTUAL PATIENTS is a problem because when they ask you certain questions regarding mental health it's always with the supervision of someone telling them what to do in the room, so like... It's part of a test? They're like... "Ok ask him if he's having any suicidal ideations" like I'm not even there, then- "are you having any suicidal thoughts??" Like I'm actually going to say if I was? There is no sense of care or concern strictly business and it makes us as the clients feel like exactly what they think we are... Just a patient. THEN, on top of that, my doctor offered almost no solution to what was going on, just upped my dosage, like she's been doing. AND THEN!!! I specifically told them not to call in my prescription to a pharmacy I used ONCE like 35 miles away. What do they do? Completely disregard it and call it in anyway!!! Now I'm waiting in the cvs that I needed it called into, it's a whole big shit show, all because of their carelessness. This is not an isolated incident. It has been going on at compass health since the old location and now seems to be even worse at the new one. DO NOT GO HERE FOR LEGITIMATE HELP, if you want to refill your Meds once a month then fine- but don't expect much else. Fuck this place and fuck the FDA. read more
