For 30 minutes, we were not acknowledged at all--no greeting, no update, no communication. During this time, there were multiple barbers not actively cutting hair, so this was not a matter of the shop being overwhelmed. When we decided to leave, there was conversation about us in Spanish rather than direct communication. After we exited, our names were scratched off the list, as if we had never been there. This is not about impatience or wait time. It's about being ignored despite staff availability. We are returning customers who have recommended this shop before, and this experience did not align with a 4.9 rating. ****** updated review based on response from business ****** Your response does not change what occurred. I am a long-standing, returning client and am fully familiar with your sign-in process and posted policies. During this visit, I directly observed barbers complete services, step away from their chairs, and engage in side conversations rather than acknowledge me. I was also clearly aware of being observed instead of addressed. This was not a misunderstanding of procedure; it was a lapse in professionalism and basic customer engagement. Whether the wait was 14 minutes or 30 is irrelevant. The issue was the complete absence of acknowledgment or communication, which is unacceptable in any service business. I consider this matter closed. I will not be returning, and I trust this feedback will be used to correct the experience for future clients.

Saw their tent during Taste of Wheaton, waited two hours and left without a cut. An hour give or…read moretake for a cut is long but not unreasonable. But let me tell you, the first guy took 45 min, second guy was 75 min in and still going by the time I left. The first barber (light-skinned latino) took 45 min, worked hard and did an excellent job on an older man. Honestly, while I waited and saw him work, I wanted my cut with him. Unfortunately he left to go inside their building and was replaced by this young black haired latino. He was working on this guy who walked in with a Phil Foden cut and 75 min in, largely unchanged but with a clean trim on the sides. (There was hardly any hair on the ground ) One reason his cut was taking so long was this barber was too busy live-streaming on his phone, occasionally looking at peoples' comments. It also didn't help he was cutting at a snail's pace. It's one thing to be attentive to detail (something the first barber was good at). It's another to just go hair by hair. Bad for business, wasting peoples' time, so much that I don't feel like stopping by the actual shop. Hope the business sees this and if they do, please let me know the name of that guy. If I ever do stop by, I'd like to avoid him at all cost.

I found out about Finos Barbershop at the recent Taste of Wheaton event. I have a vacation coming…read moreup and figured I would give them a shot. After checking them out online and on Instagram I called and made an appointment with Mario. There is plenty of metered street parking in the area. Some in front of the building that the shop is in and there's also a metered lot to the right of the building. Finos is located on the second floor of the building. Theres a door leading to the stairs located next to Franks Burgers. Go up the stairs and turn left once you reach the top. The vibe in the shop is very laid back. There was music playing at a reasonable level and the whole shop is well lit. Mario is really cool and he offered me a complimentary beverage (soda or beer). I opted for a soda since I drove myself. Now on to the cut and overall experience. Mario took time consulting with me to figure out the best cut for me. I shared what I had in mind down to the guides I preferred and how close I wanted thebcut to be. Once he got started with the cut we had a really cool conversation about everything from sports to family to travel, etc. Throughout the entire conversation Mario was cutting and detailing to make sure everything was perfect. When he was done I was extremely happy! This is easily the best haircut I've had in years at a barbershop! The price was fair, only $60 for a haircut and beard trim. I actually had him do a fade on my beard too. It's a new look for me, but I like the end result. Mario earned a new client and I look forward to coming back in 2 weeks for my next cut.
