The bed was very comfortable, the products top-notch. The spa deserves a full review itself. The Thermal Club is adults only time, where you can spend a two hour block going between the sauna, the ice room, the steam room, and finally the shower rooms. Each shower is different. Then, after completing the circuits multiple times, proceed up to the fully glass-enclosed pool, where there are multiple different water features to pummel, massage, and relax you. Water beds, water jets, and water sprays make for a fun experience! We also spent several hours getting spa treatments, taking a thermal bath in the legendary healing waters of La Toja, getting massaged, wrapped, and facials. Afterwards, skin was so nice! This place is a destination in itself. Will worth the trip!

The rooms were comfortable and the food delicious. The staff was helpful, especially in helping some of us order a taxi. This Parador is not as opulent as the one in Baiona, which is something I liked.

Destroyed by bedbugs!…read more My wife and I were supposed to stay 5 nights in the Pontevedra Parador, and check out on Sunday 22nd of April. We were forced to leave ahead of time because my wife was attacked and ravaged by bedbugs, in room 221. She had to go to dermatologist who prescribed three medicines for her. Her arms and neck are ravaged (acribilladas) by undetermined insects that were in our room, and bed. The Paradores should be ashamed: never in our life of travels all over the world had this happened. Absurdly, we were charged full price for having my wife injured in your parador because of lack of hygiene and cleanliness! Also, we had to pay for the visit to the dermatologist and the medicines. Worst of all, my wife is still suffering the consequences of this attack on her person.

It's has great surroundings and ocean view mostly in every direction your look. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and the staff is knowledgeable and with a lot of attention to detail. Their restaurant,is also worth a visit. Their menu is mostly composed by traditional local dishes with special focus on fish and shellfish, the superstars in the area. The only downfall I could see is that the property might look slightly outdated in their decor, as it was built a while ago and I don't think is has underwent any serious renovations eve since.

It's just a few minutes walk from the seafront, the boulevard, Plaza Fefiñanes and other squares. The owners are really kind, making it feel more like a bed and breakfast and honoring the description "hotel familiar". The rooms have a good standard and the prices are really good (€45-60, depending the season). A few years ago when we stayed her, we got very ill from eating a lot of different seafood mixed with a lot of different alcoholic drinks (... oops, our own fault) and when we got home to the hotel the owner immediately noticed this. She made us rice water (the water in which the rice is boiled), supposedly a secret Galician miracle drink for stomach illness. It seemed to help. The day before the cleaner had put our wet shoes in the sun on the French balcony. What a service! It has a small cafe on the ground floor: cafeteria Bodegón with a nice view on the church. When wanting a cheaper and less touristy hotel (like the Parador) as a fallout base for exploring the country during the day, this hotel serves the purpose.
