    I am writing to share a concerning experience regarding the pre-authorization process handled by a…read morestaff member named Tiffany. Over the course of several weeks, I made multiple phone calls in an effort to obtain a time-sensitive pre-authorization for an upcoming MRI appointment. Despite clearly communicating that my appointment was scheduled within four days, I was repeatedly told that the process would take "weeks," without any apparent urgency or attempt to explore alternative solutions. During this time, I was asked to obtain information from the hospital that my insurance company had already provided, resulting in unnecessary back-and-forth communication and added stress. I personally contacted both the hospital and my insurance company multiple times to try to facilitate the process, yet there was little evidence of follow-through or proactive assistance from Tiffany. Additionally, I left messages with my primary care provider's office and did not receive timely responses, which further compounded the issue. Unfortunately, this experience affected not only my time but also my trust in the coordination of care. My husband had taken time off work for an appointment that ultimately could not proceed due to the lack of pre-authorization. This issue was resolved with a 20 minute conversation call to Dr. John Shelton's ENT office. While I value my primary care provider Ms. Megan Hughes and would prefer to remain under her care, this experience has caused me to reconsider due to the administrative challenges and lack of support. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve communication, responsiveness, and patient support within the pre-authorization process. We weren't notified of his retirement so when my…read morehusbands 3 month supply on medication ran out and we tried to autofill it we were told they wouldn't okay refills until he came in to see Dr Leal. My husband works out of town so he wasn't able to make his appt which I tried to reschedule b ut they never answer the phones or return calls. I had to physically go into the office to do it and (they marked it as a no show) there was a 3 m month wait before they had an opening, told me to take him to ER or walk in clinic. Finally got him an appt and upon arrival discovered they had relocated the office so we were 15 minutes late and they refused to see him because he was late, we tried to explain we didn't realize they had moved and had went to old location. The office manager talked to us like we were stupid, rolled her eyes and smirked as she walked off. My husband missed a day of work and had drove two and a half hours one way to be at that appt!

After calling and leaving messages daily for over a week I finally got a person on the line who told me I had to wait 3 months for an appointment with Dr. Leal who by the way is my established primary care physican. In my case waiting 3 months for treatment was not possible so they checked with the doctor and was told that I should go to a clinic or an emergency room for treatment. It is very clear Dr. Leal and his staff are not interested in the health or welfare of their patients. Stay away from this doctor and this medical practice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why did we wait 2 months? To ensure what ever is causing the issue is able to build up to the degree that it's unbearable? If she suggests waiting 2 months, say no, I want the tests ASAP- if its a building allergy and you wait 2 months, its gonna be terrible the 5 days before the test - i cant sleep, work, go to the store, put on clothes - 2 months ago I could just use a dab of steroid cream and it stopped - id have to bathe in it now for 6 or 7 hours a day now.     03.30 Thought I wasn't going to need an allergist since…read moremoving to Florida. Completely wrong. Came in as a new patient, had prick test done on my back... OUCH!!! Only reacted to 3 allergens out of 40. Moved on to step two... NEEDLES!!! 40 little tuberculin devils. This time my deltoids were inflamed and on fire. 30 minutes of misery but way better than getting back scratched. Doc also ordered a breathing test which I failed 3x even after a nebulizer treatment. I'm officially asthmatic but happy it's only allergy induced. The visit was 2 hours long, painful but I'm so happy I had a very thorough test completed so Im aware of triggers to avoid. Still deciding whether to do drops or shots for treatment. But whatever it may be, I know I'm in good hands. Fantastic service, everyone was friendly and super helpful. Starting with making an appointment to receiving itemized invoice, stellar service is all I can say.
