The community treatment room also felt tranquil and even though there were others in the same space having treatments, I felt relaxed and able to enjoy the session. Everyone seemed very respectful of others, being quiet as they entered/ exited and honoring each others' privacy. This was my first acupuncture treatment and everything was very thoroughly explained, down to how I should expect to feel during and after, and I was urged to let the practitioner know if anything felt off or painful beyond the initial discomfort of the needles. I am feeling less pain in my foot already (about 4 hours post-treatment). I am hopeful that continued treatments will continue to give me relief. But the experience was so relaxing and enjoyable, even if it's unable to totally heal my CRPS pain, I plan to keep going back!

When I first agreed to the interview online, it stated that the employer would call at the time of the interview. I waited by my phone and 10 minutes after the agreed time, I decided to give them a call. They said they expected the interview to be in person. So I apologized, even though it was not my mistake, and we agreed I would be able to do an in person interview an hour later. I got there, the interview went great, and they said they would get back to me within a week. A week passes and I still haven't heard anything back. I call them the next Saturday, but no one answered the phone. I called again the following Monday and told them I want to check on the status of my application. They put me on hold for a few seconds and then tell me that the doctor is sorry to get back to me so late but that the position has been filled. Very unprofessional for an employer to not get back to applicants at all until they check in, especially when it was communicated by the employer that they would reach out to you within a certain time frame. Be prepared that they are very narrow tables and I do wish they were slightly wider tables. At first, I was a little worried that it might hurt, but you cannot even feel the needles going in unless it's between your big toe and your second toe, for some reason that one's a little bit of a bugger! The needles are strategically placed to benefit your body. Eastern medicine would say it awakens your Chi, western medicine would say it awakens your central nervous system. Whatever it does, it has worked for me! As a cancer patient, my oncologist stated that Acupuncture is one of the only alternative treatments that actually works for cancer patients. Acupuncture works for me quickly while I'm treating, I am able to finally relax which is not always easy when you're going through chemotherapy. Rona has treated me for insomnia, anxiety, emotional stress, nausea, fatigue, heart issues related to chemo, shortness of breath, and for so many side effects that just come with my chemo treatments. She truly cares about your well being and progress. I've had several tension and trigger point issues in the past, and serious hip issues over the past couple years. Getting regular acupuncture and cupping treatments has been crucial to my comfort level. If you've never had acupuncture it's incredibly relaxing, considering it is needles going into your body! It feels almost like a little tap (every once in a while there is a really tight area that is slightly uncomfortable for a second or two), and then you get a 20 minute nap under an infrared light in the middle of the day! I almost always fall asleep I'm so relaxed. So great!! Cupping sounds weird, but is amazing for pulling the toxins and tension from your muscles. It's oddly relaxing, leaves round "caterpillar" marks that go away in a couple days depending on how much you need detoxed, and only takes a few minutes. I've sent several friends and family members to her and they are all thrilled with the difference in how their body feels immediately. In addition, Dr. Chien is always in such a hurry treating multiple patients at the same time, it made each appointment feel rushed and left very little opportunity to ask questions or discuss my treatment.
