My horrible experience started with the front desk receptionist. Not friendly at all, actually had the attitude of a moody teenager.i asked for my receipt and she said she would email it and didn't need to stay any longer and she never sent me my receipt, so she was faking it when she was tapping her screen. Then the chiropractor I seen, was more concerned about me buying a package deal then listening to me when I was explaining how my long history of chiropractic visits have proven to me that I can not get weekly adjustments, my body doesn't respond well and gets worse rather than better. He didn't care, i told him I had carpal tunnel and he told me I did not do I told him I was diagnosed by a specialist that did the nerve conduction test and then gave me that diagnosis, this chiro said I was given a wrong diagnosis. He used an illustration to explain my need of getting weekly visits that I felt was rude cause he likened it to me trying to loose weight and my weight was not a conversation we were having so why bring up my weight? I told him that noone is able to make my hips crack and then after I proved that true, he insisted that he heard my shoulder cracked when it didn't and also my upper back when it didn't either. I told him the pain in my mid back was still there, the reason I came in, and he barely felt my spine to locate the exact place of pain before he said that's a different place then I did before and tried a second time and it only caused me more pain. He had me moving around a lot, flipping over from stomach to back and stomach to back again. After a while I needed his hand to help pull me up into a sitting position. I tried to drink water before going to bed and woke up vomiting it out that night and trouble getting up due to pain between my shoulders. The next morning I felt like I had an injury and less mobility with my shoulder/arm. When I was responding to a txt message from their supposedly office manager, a call immediately comes in from the chiropractor, asking me how I'm doing, I said not good. He responded with go follow up with your previous chiropractor. instead of asking me what I'm feeling. He had a stone cold tone in his voice. His manner of unconcern tells me that the txt message automatically triggers a call from him, he wouldn't have called if I didn't respond to the txt to report my experience. I'm in so much pain, I may need to go to an ER. read more

My husband went to the joint on Centennial in Colorado Springs and they turned him around because they didn't have time for him before lunch. So we came back after lunch they had the door locked and finally open the door and said they could not see him. We ask why And that young woman said that he had been to other joint chiropractors and then he was banned from all facilities. She would not listen or check with anyone else when we try to tell her my husband has never been to a joint chiropractic business. I can tell you this we will never go back again. I thought about giving them four stars but then remembered how professional and thorough this small business was. Even though I'm not really comfortable with an open area multiple bed arrangement for your adjustment. I got over it quickly. The doctor went through my questionnaire and asked me all the right questions to determine what might be best regarding my adjustment. She told me everything she was going to do as she was doing it and I was at ease. Multiple adjustments and a very reasonable price $29. I will be back again in June by the way this is a drop in facility so no need to worry about an appointment. The office is very clean calm and artsy. I had a good experience. read more

I did have an adj two days ago in Amarillo but was ready for another. Low back and neck out again. What was great: Price - I paid $29 their regular drop in price, even though they offered me the new comer's special of $19. I knew I wouldn't be coming back and they saved my vacation so I wanted to pay. My guy at home is more. Location - easy parking - close to everything Staff/office - polite efficient staff / spacious clean well appointed Doctors - I went with my friend, who lives here part time, and we each received thorough care, explanations of what was happening and why, and adjustments to multiple points on the body. Amy Doctor was a little more aggressive than I have grown used to, but when she adjusted my neck I felt like that is what I'd been needing for weeks and my Doctor is a little hesitant. I feel great. I'm updating my review and I'm torn on how to rate the Joint. I had really great experience with them for 2 years. This business has lots of different chiropractors, and in my experience, most of them do a good job and they don't deserve to have their rating tanked. But it only takes one. I went in for a tune-up, complaining only of minor tightness in my back. The doctor did an extremely aggressive adjustment and when it was done, I couldn't even sit up from the table. She said the spasms were just because "we moved things a lot" and went on to the next patient. I left in agony, so much worse off than I was when I went in. It's been six weeks and I am still in constant pain despite regular physical therapy and multiple prescriptions to alleviate the spasms. Please, please, please be careful. Once you find a doctor you like, check their schedule or call ahead to see who is at a particular location that day. read more

I Love The Joint Chiropractic! We're visiting from the Seattle, and got the same great treatment & easy access (4 clinics in Colorado Springs area!). We pay about $50 a month (each) and get an adjustment every week, as good or better quality than what we paid per visit with other chiropractors, and have access to other clinics while traveling. Dr. Amanda Rodriguez gave me a very good intuitive, sensitive and skilled adjustment. She is good, and she listens so that she can meet your individual needs. I just had a terrible experience with the Northgate Joint location. The chiropractor I saw was really rough and fast. He did not give me time or opportunity to tell him to slow down and be more gentle. I walked out feeling like I had been assaulted. I was in pain for four days afterwards and he dislocated a string of lymph nodes in my neck that have still not returned to normal and required checking out to make sure the lumps were not cancerous. I am very happy with The Joint. 3 weeks ago I dislocated my second rib behind my shoulder blade. I was in excruciating pain and my Primary care Dr told me I needed a chiropractor. I had never been to one, so I was a little skeptical. I tried to call and make an appointment on my way there and the nice receptionist explained that I didn't need one. When I got there I tried to hand over my insurance card but they don't take insurance. I was a little worried about the price, but its very affordable. In my current state I knew that I would need to have more than one adjustment so I signed up for the whole month. The paperwork was minimal and easy. The Dr I saw listened to my issue and went to work. after my adjustment I had full range of motion with my arm again and the excruciating pain from breathing had started to subside. I was still hurting but my pain went from a 9 to a 4 pretty fast. I will be going for 4th adjustment today and I no longer have constant pain behind my shoulder blade. I am very happy I found this place and at about $15.00 an adjustment I am even happier. My friend will be joining me today for her first visit and my husband will go for his fifth tomorrow. Dr. Hawk is one of my new best friends in this towni love the convenience of The Joint and I paid the membership fee because it really is worth it if you're like me and need weekly maintenance. The staff here is professional and courteous, Dr. Hawk has been awesome at keeping my neck, shoulders, back and occasionally knees and back in good shape. I do a ton of hunched over computer work even with multiple screens and ergonomic assistance I still get pinched nerve/neck, shoulder and lower back pain because of lingering injuries from military service. Easily the best deal because: for the membership I get to go as many times as I need without an appointment, copay or any other nonsense I would have to normally deal with and it's convenient to my often off hour schedule especially since it's open on the weekend. I've been going to chiropractors for awhile now so I do know the difference but this is an excellent option when you just need maintenance and quick adjustments.
